I would have preferred original music, not just old classic rock...we know what these amps USED to do...show us what they can do for MODERN musicians. Please and Thank you. JTM 45/100 (Dream amp) and either purple amp. Here in Canada I missed an opportunity to buy a PURPLE Park/Marshall Full stack used by Jimi Hendrix... With Tall Vintage cabs it was AWESOME. Around 1994, I think they were asking around $6000 Canadian, for the full stack at that time.
I have 8 old Plexi's amps from 1967 to 1971 and I also have a Black Flag amp. I started buying them back in the 80s when they were all over and cheap to buy.
I love how this was recorded! I love hearing the snare buzz in the guitar riffs! Authentic, in the room, recording of a couple of guys playing. CME always knocks it outta the park!
My holy grail which I purchased when I was. 14 years old and I'm 61 now my 1970 Marshall Major... Unmolested... Right to the 2 Prong Plug... She's the plain face one that doesn't have the strip in the middle under Marshal. She doesn't see outside no more but she sees 2 to 3 days a week in the house. Breathing some fire ❤❤❤ With one of my vintage early 60s EB's
I very much enjoyed seeing and hearing this collection. The history of wonderful music has been created on these amps and cabs and there is no substitute for the real thing!
Nathan ripping out amazing riffs and tones. sounded amazing. Got to love the wah and fuzz. Got to mention the drummer too, killer drumming and beautifully recorded.
Those are all badass Marshalls. I'm an 80s teen and hair is my business. George Lynch, Jake E Lee, Randy Rhoads, Warren DeMartini, and all of their colleagues are the guys I learned from. JCM800s and JCM900s are more my speed, but if I had unlimited cash, I would have a compliment of the vintage pieces. I like all of the Marshalls. Even the other brands they put out. Kitchen Marshalls, for example.
I love the 800s too plus Lynch, DeMartini and Lee. I bought my first, an 86 2x12 combo brand new in 87. Owned 50 watt and 100 watt channel switching heads too.
Wow ! this is an incredible video. The knowledge and playing is just fantastic ! A shocking collection being presented by the best team in the business. Thanks Guys.
I got rid of my superleads decades ago, stupidly, but such is life. The only Marshall I have now is a little red 1971 Marshall Mercury combo, which sits at the opposite end of the spectrum to these monsters.
Great collection years ago a guy in Santa Barbara CA had a large collections of plxi marshalls in several colors my manager got my 68 50w marshall from him I've had it for 40 years so this is a long time ago but they all sold back then what history indeed !
My favorite would be that jtm 45/100.Man you guy's have really been living up to your great reputation lately. Thanks for this wonderful presentation.I have to admit it sure beats another well know stores demo's where there is a wall of vintage Marshall's behind the guy that you never get to hear.lol
20:41 is such a stark contrast between the student of guitar and the students of gear. both are cool but pretty different approach to the guitar as a whole. great video.
I mean they all sound killer, I’ll say I’m a sucker for a custom color Marshall, so either the two purple heads or the red head would be fine with me. Also learned some new fun fact about Kosoff! I didn’t know he used bass cones in his cabs. Maybe to get a little more low end punch? Also the tone and playing is impeccable. When you broke into Sunshine of your Love, that wasn’t just a guy playing the song, no it sounded like the recording. I mean to my ears it was identical. Is that burst being used a custom shop or a real deal burst!? I mean if you’re gonna be playing vintage Marshalls there’s only one way to go with the guitar, a real deal Holyfield 58-60 burst. 💥 ❤❤
Old marshall are always my thing i have a JMP 50 1968 I Also have a Marshall cab that predates all the cabs here ,which is a JTM Coffin Badge 4X12 no carring handles 1964ish , i have Jims signature on a couple of Amps ,Marshall and a lespaul are Ledgend .
The two guys talking are like the managers of a strip joint, explaining the setup and how everything works, and Nathaniel's the stripper who has to do the pole dancing 😅
You guys make exceptional content-I love your videos, and these Marshall amps are absolutely mind-blowing! That said, I’m pretty sure Ronnie was never a member of Small Faces. You mentioned having proof-could you share it? Fun fact: he actually has a house here in Barcelona. Maybe I should ask him myself!
Ronnie Wood was never in the Small Faces.. Perhaps you meant Ronnie Lane? Most likely It was carry over gear from the Small Faces that Ronnie Wood used during the Faces.
Yea Ronnie wood was in the Faces with Ronnie Lane this amp may have been Steve mariotts after he left small Faces ,I Know he liked Hiwatts ,small faces also had the first sets of marshall 8x12 cabs before pete townsend , Steve mariott and Ronnie lane are worth checking out !
Not a lot of places to hide with these things blaring, seem to pick up every nuance. Sweet playing as always and looks like some fun, interactive, history. When are you playing out live in Chicago Nathanial? Just saying we could use some of these sick Marshall tones out around town!
@@chicagomusicexchange i guess NOBODY wanted the the dark purple one ;) What a treat. Thanks for the fantastic quality on this demo and the beautiful playing!
All kinds of people used bass cone speakers in 60s and 70s . The heavy maget bass cone speakers were far more common than the medium bass cones .. Jimmy Page Hendrix and Alex lifeson all used heavy magnet bass cone speakers . Its never been confirmed that Kossof used them but if he did he was far from the only one .
Which one is your favorite!?

My favorite is nr.1 100 watt bass (Bring it on Home), nr 2 the "purple one" (Free).
I have 8 old Plexi's amps from 1967 to 1971 and I also have a Black Flag amp. I started buying them back in the 80s when they were all over and cheap to buy.
Dang!! That's awesome
I always watch these vids for Nathanial's playing...but always enjoy learning new things about the items in the videos. Thanks!
You got to love it when Nathan plugs in a vintage Les Paul!
Thanks for "Strange Brew"...never get tired of listening to that.
🤘🤘
That dark purple Marshall...makes me feel all warm and tingley inside😊
I AM IRON MAN.

Glad to hear some T-Rex through that SoundCity, thanks Nathanial!! Marc Bolan is highly underrated, especially here in the USA.

What a collection ! What a profound presentation ! And Grandmaster Murphy on top ! WOW !
Still have my ‘72 Super Lead 100 watt. In great shape. The thing is a tone beast. I’ll never sell it.
Two gentlemen making some historic pieces of beauty sounding so damn awesome!

Came for Nathaniel’s playing, got a bonus history lesson
They sound f*cking glorious!
Even better in the room honestly 😂
The G12 H with 50'hz pulsonic are my favs and great for metal but its a secret of many older players 😊

Oh Snap! This is going to be GOOOOOD! Let me clear my calendar for 30 mins
❤️❤️
The best combo there is, a Les Paul with a Marshall Stack. Nothing better!
This is my favourite channel on RUclips. The information is great and Nathanial’s playing is every guitarists dream. Totally not jealous…
Love to hear that!! ❤️🤘
Great tones and great playing. Not a lot of free time these days, but you guys made it worth it for sure.

What’s the purple 68 going for?

"I'd take any of them" I'm with you Nathaniel.
That 68 Super bass is rad. Sounds amazing.

That whole lotta love through that purple marshall was just.. .-.
This is so sick. Fuck yeah. Hope all on at once is coming and we get room sound too. Amazing

Having all this in a mountain hideaway would've been amazing... just go to your place in the middle of nowhere and crank them all up.
That purple 68 spoke to me!
💜💜
Great shout out to the Marshall Man Greg Germino!!! Now is a great time to check out his amps too :)
Greg is the man!
When Gary Moore pairs a JTM-45 with a JCM 800 and his LP there is no wrong. Legendary amps played by legends, thank you CME. Amazing 👏
Thank you!! 🙏
Gary Moore paired a JTM45 with Electro Voice M12L
The demos of “Bring It On Home” and “Killing Floor” were un-frigging-canny. The SOUND.
🤘🤘
Good Marshall’s have an underrated clean tone
Ed King recorded the intro to Sweet Home Alabama with a 68 Plexi Half Stack. His Strat plugged straight in. Great clean sound !

That whole lotta love rig is a few hundred thousand dollars alone!

have all this amps ...in my tonex😅🙃 wow, a very cool amp collection and awesome playing!
Mother of God that Sunshine of Your Love tone is nigh on indistinguishable from the original
The solo from All Right Now sounded perfect! Gotta stop by and pick up a Les Paul soon!
🤘🤘
They all sounded great, but I dug the Hiwatt the most
🤘🤘
Great episode boys!

Love the red Marshall head too!! 🤙 I’m going to need to get me one now LOL

Holy sh*t!! Amazing collection! Would be awesome if you captured the sounds of those amps with for instance a Tonex pedal before letting them go hehe
I wouldn't describe the purple one "dark". I think it's more of a "Deep Purple".....
😂
CME is a great place to buy a guitar or amp and Nathan is a great guitar player.
Thank you!! 🙏
Me: 10:50 shut up and take my money!!!!

Any ideas on who the collector was?
Any ampegs come from this collection?
No ampegs 😑

These will make some Millionaire who can't play very happy 😅

Any Duane Allman Marshall's in the lot....?
