Hi guys, FYI you can replace the touchscreen with another step instead of simply disconnecting it. Replacements are harder to find for the 2017-2018 Mazda 3. Most of the replacements out there are for the 2014-2016 models and are not compatible.
Amazon do a third party touch screen, but it means removing the old one and fitting the new one in the old frame. There is a YT video out there that shows the process if you really want the touch screen function (which I have never used and is only possible in the UK with the car stationary).

Disconecting the flex cable will disable the "touch" feature of the screen. Control over the screen will still work using the knob.

Hi Rony, do you have any idea how to fix a screen does not touch, it started from the left bottom corner, now nearly the whole secreen can't touch.
Replace screen to 2018 screen. They fixed all the issues in that year unless yours is 2018 then idk 😂

Does anyone know if disconnecting the touchscreen will fix a mazda connect system stuck in a rebooting loop.

It’s got to be worth a try given all YT videos I’ve seen show it as a simple quick fix.
