I’m currently in the second phase of my background. I’m 37 years old, clean background, clean record, class A CDL with my Hazmat. I have College. I’ve never done anything in Law Enforcement before, been watching a lot of videos on this whole process. Thank you for sharing! It helps!
I totally get where he’s coming from, but I’ve never had interviews where they were trying get me nervous on purpose or fire questions at me like that. All my interviews have been just getting to know who I am and pre written questions from a document. But definitely good tips he’s giving!
I love the brand, been a massive fan of everything WGH for some time now, I share and spread nearly every Instagram post y’all do. Love everything about everything We Go Home stands for.
The interview is so much more job specific than anything I've ran into. It is refreshing. After working in the trades I can't wait to be honest. The interviews for the carpenter trek is "oh cool you suck air and have a tool belt! You're hired!" Thanks for your tips here. Man and if only people understood it's easier to join the military than to be hired from a police agency.
Did you qualify? I planned on trying the military until I realized I had asthma. People say military is easy to enter for legible people while police is different for it's nature of work. I wasted my life away dropping out of college because I didn't understand life as much as I do now. I would be wasting my life away right now if life didn't pressure me to write this comment to you today. With that out of the way, what type of jobs do you think, recommend help prepare for police work? I read people say first responder jobs such as emt are a good transition. Any life wisdom, advice that can help get me and everyone really get through life healthy, peacefully? Thank you, take care.
Man I didn’t know the appearance aspect mattered so much. I had a dress shirt, slacks and black shoes. I didn’t have a haircut and I kind of knew I messed up when I went and people were wearing suits and I had to go while I was actually working I should’ve requested off. Also I knew the statistics of crime but I just never brought it up. This video definitely could’ve helped before so take this video as your step by step guide. I definitely felt like I also played it too passive rather then saying how I would help with the crime statistics then helping with the community and reputation
Thank you for the video! I've got an upcoming interview in a couple days! I already one one interview, with only 5 questions. It went super quick. I thought I did great, but ended up getting out scored by the other people who also interviewed. But, I feel like I can take what I learned from that interview as well as from this video and hopefully give myself a better chance at the upcoming one!
Thank you! I've been building a list of Q&A for upcoming interview. I'm a great communicator, but my biggest fault is getting anxious. I've never done a board interview, so this will be quite the shock for me.
Would you consider making a video about what's it's like to serve in different cities? I'm just getting out of the military and considering policing. I'm really interested to know if the different deps you were in were as different as the different military branches (in terms of their style, leadership culture, ethos)
@@karizkhan-ue1pe passed bro, they asked me 5 situational questions and what I would do and why. I’m sure every state is different but that’s all I was asked.
I have always been told to come clean shaven. I have done a couple firefighter interviews and was told by the veterans of the field to come clean shaven.
Hey brother, honor graduate from my college, also former Army here.. worked 10 years in tech/finance. Also Vietnamese! My family fled the same war as you did :) trying to join the police but I have some issue that I am trying to figure out. Would like to DM you for your opinion if possible.
first time someone gave actual questions and truthful answers. I had a couple of kids, children, that didn't know how to ask interview questions properly. Very unprofessional rolling their eyes and trying to act bitchy. I wasn't impressed with their grammar school behavior, even though the Sgt. was so proud of his little darling brats. 👶🍼👶 Never again will I allow my professional career to be dependant on 2 illeterate simps. 🤡🤡
