I have learned NEVER to stand in the path of a jet's engine like that. The hard way. I was chilly one night while I was working late at a naval base in Korea. They cranked up an F18 to check the engine, I walked over, expecting at least a warm breeze from the deflection plates in the back of the hanger. I got blown around like a wind in a toasty breeze.
