Failure diagnostics: 1:55 all four exhaust tubes are visible. 2:01 you can see the back exhaust tube slowly falling. The heat didn't melt the steel tubes, it just made them so hot that they entered the superplastic or ductile area, just like when forging steel. Given their length, weight and vibrations, it's no wonder they bent down like hot candy! It 'only' took them nearly two minutes to collapse and you kept driving with them bent almost longer than when they were straight! Ahahahha epic! Ignorance is bliss! A simple support frane or a suspension cable would hold them up next time- minimum effort for maximum efficiency :) Excellent video!

The counterbalance of the engine itself is more than enough for the vehicle itself it'd be a different story if the car actually had some build to it instead of being some kind of simple craft the engines would either not work in it's entirety or would provide push but no kinetic transference
As I'm getting older I'm finding myself more into propulsion physics than automotive engineering. Thank you for your channel. I hope to learn something from you sir!
Well, for a meltdown that seemed pretty innocuous to cart and driver. It didn’t blow up or anything. It just melted. Makes me think that at worst, the tube would split and the combustion cycle would quit, leaving just a small propane torch. Or would it be a big torch, until you turned off the valve. It’s hard to gauge things by the camera as I think it is exaggerating the infrared and compensating its exposure all the time. I thought it was different that the two exhausts were emitting blue flame. Or are they the intakes? Is it the propane that does that? Well, I expect a full investigation. 😄
the blue/white flames are the exhaust end of the pulse jet. red flames are on the intake side. propane melts the steel pretty quickly since it gets around 2800c. diesel flame temp is unknown, though dumping a large amount of diesel does cool the flame down.

When he past the truck it looked like 50-60 mph 😂
@@Velodynamic passed
@@Velodynamic Idk man it looked like 18 to me

mach 5 ish.
Protect this man at all costs.
I just exclaimed out loud, to no-one present: "It's already glowing red and you just started it!" Subscribed.
You sir are an absolute legend and I have subscribed and will look back on your older videos. Came up in my suggestion list. Absolutely love this video
Not only this man is doing for content he’s doing what he loves best and doing it to get money so he can help himself or others. Stay strong
This old dude is living it to the fullest. Best of luck, know you've lived more than most of us.
I hope you know you're an inspiration. I only hope that as i age i can find the same joy for life you seem to have.
one of the coolest videos on this whole website. Imagine being as awesome as this guy.
Huge smile on his face the entire time. Living his best life!
whenever I feel down I watch Crazy Rocketman and it helps soooo much. each and every time. thank You!!!
Guy was burning so much fuel his engine melted, what a lad!
I love his joy for life and optimism that the helmet and one free hand is all that he needs for his rocket adventure.
Failure diagnostics:
1:55 all four exhaust tubes are visible.
A simple support frane or a suspension cable would hold them up next time- minimum effort for maximum efficiency :)
Excellent video!
I'm just surprised the very bright orange glow on the ground, which he must have noticed, didn't alert him to fact something was amiss on this run.
i am curious of how the pulsejet action would effect steel when its that hot
@@FallenMeowBob Give it a few runs like this and it will oxidize in a blink of an eye, leaving holes the size of quarters!
@@uhtred7860 I guess tunnel vision hits different with that amount of speeeeed
Since necessity is the mother of invention and this is a first time for a meltdown, I can't wait to see what you come up with next Bob to safeguard against another meltdown. As always, pretty cool Bob.
the pure joy on his face, i envy that
We love you crazy rocket man
This looks absolutely badass and so fun to do. Godspeed, my good sir, you are a legend.
1. Engine is red hot ✅
2. Nice style ✅
3. No seatbelt ✅

Yeah that wouldn't be me
You always brighten my day. Thanks, Bob.
Not even an engine failure, it just got so hot that it decided it didnt want to hold itself up anymore. The worlds first playdough engine!
great proof of not all old people are the same.
Hey grampa is high today
Thanks for bringing joy to my RUclips feed, sir! So fun to watch you have fun!
So this is how Santa gets his gifts to my house on time every year
This...This man and his rocket go-cart should be in a video game. F'n insane! The start-up sound. The glow of the exaust manifold! This would have to be a legendary craft or drop or a platinum trophy 🏆. I love it.
Love your videos, wish you had a GPS speed on the screen to show how fast these jets can top out.
It's easily 30 mph at least....😳😏🇬🇧
I just watched one of your first videos and now this, it's fun to watch your progression from regular builds a pulse jet, to Mad Scientist riding a triple rocket powered go kart.....love it, keep up the good work
I love how it looks like he's going so fast because of his beard and this ridiculous overheating and engine noise, but he's actually going super slow haha
But still looks fun
Faster than the chair your sitting in.
@@davidbarlow6860 you're*
the most fun anyone has ever had at 20 mph, im not jealous you're jealous!
@@davidbarlow6860um sir I'm sitting on a toilet I don't think it go very fast, I guess I'll need some more gas 😂
A well placed camera and a proper picture at the perfect time could have given us the the greatest album picture of all time
Just a crazy rocketman doing laps in the desert, I love it
I like how he is operating exteremly heavy and volatile equipment with only one hand. Rock on my guy, live for the moment
This is dangerously badass, and I respect it! (Also how does the car go straight with the booster only on the one side?)
Maybe mount a fire extinguisher on each side (thinking of balance).
The counterbalance of the engine itself is more than enough for the vehicle itself it'd be a different story if the car actually had some build to it instead of being some kind of simple craft the engines would either not work in it's entirety or would provide push but no kinetic transference
@@netherminer101imma pretend I know what that means
@@therandomtransformersanima6236 in other words there would be something pushing but no movement as the weight would just be to much
As I'm getting older I'm finding myself more into propulsion physics than automotive engineering.
Lord, I can't change
Won't you fly high, free bird, yeah
you will never grow old as long as you keep doing this !your a legend and an inspiration
Sir,, you’ve just unknowingly adopted a new grandson!! You’re an absolute legend good Sir!
04:00 I think he sums it all up; the sheer awesomeness, the force of will, the beard... all of it.
