Malals Wrath need railguns, it is already well buid to fit it right in
Railguns are so vulnerable though. It cuts your ship in half. I love the rails but, it feel a bit like a trap. Maybe I'm just making them to big...
@Server Meta I've have plenty of sniper duels that ended badly because of a unforseen hole in my defense. It only takes one section to be disabled to cause function lose and destroying one section cascades through the whole thing. Rails can shred armor, and can have ridiculous piercing. It is the best spinel mount you could have. As long as you can out run and out range the other ship it is best in class.

You can design pretty entrenched railguns, behind lot's of shields and armor. So shotguns not a problem eighter

Huginn and Muninn are ravens so I don't quite get what the video name changes. This is a great idea even though it's not exactly in theme with the chaos gods of warhammer.

Since you've already called them "Odin's Ravens", why not give them their names.
I know, some other commenters have suggested that, so it is a rather popular choice.
Huginn means "thought"
Muninn means "memory/mind"
I reckon, you could find some nice connections to the Renegade God, but I am not that into WH, so I'm not qualified to find them.
Now you need a big ship named Odin, maybe a railfan?

A name for the swarm could be Nurgle’s Rotflys! For one bigger ship, it could be called Nurgle’s Plague Belcher.

I have been having a absolute hell of a week, so that intro feels WAY too fitting today. That said, nice to hear things are going well and finishing up for you. Great to have you back my friend, and can't wait to continue seeing what happens with this series.
Answer to your question about EMP and armour. Armour absorbs a set amount of EMP, it says how much in the amours description.

You could try to make the third craft a railgun craft to snipe critical components the moment the fight is in range and potentially have it carry the sensors because it isn't suited for close combat. Would very much like to see a big, all in one design too with integrated factory too in the future just for fun. Really like the series! Congrats on the move. A great sight for sore eyes!
I think having another even bigger ship would be awesome, but keep the Malal's Wrath! Itll be cool to see the ships working together kinda like in ftd!
Later the pirates will have teams of big ships. Multiple big boys is inevitable. Tanks and flankers has worked out for me so far. Getting around the larger ships defenses gets to be a critical part of success.
I feel like you should have multiple ships that can all be on separate tasks at once, so whilst the Malals wrath and the crows are dealing with a pirate base another ship can be travelling to go deal with a pirate bounty, and when the malals wrath and crows are done defeating their target the you can focus on the other ship.

Keeping to the Chaos gods. I have a new recommendation. Khorne should obviously be you big bad bruiser ship. Tzeentch buzzards are a good choice for missiles. Slaanesh, could be super tanky tractor nuisance. Hear me out on this one, okay. It's a tractor designed to be the one taking damage, and pull ships into the heart of your fleet. You could but nukes on it, but I think it could be more amusing if it had no weapons at all. The nurgling... I have a lot of silly ideas on this one. For example, a ship designed to break apart. Could make for a horrible mess, but a bunch of tiny independent ships strapped together is thematic. I'd go with single small shield generator, HE missle, cockpit, engine room and minimal crew. Then just strap them a few together and call it a day. With armor in the right places I image it could be an very frustrating ship to bring down. Albeit a death trap for the crew.
I do miss the railguns though. They're so satisfying to watch accurately tear through a ship while they're stuck at a helpless distance.
I don't usually leave comments but I definitely want to see more Cosmoteer in the future!

Nice episode boss. I am enjoying the flies. I was calling them that from the jump. I know you want that single weapon, but that is hubris. A tank, artillery, and splash damage. You have the tank (deck cannons) and the splash (flies). You need artillery (rail guns). Make the fleet. Conquer the system and the game. You need pinpoint damage for nuke enemies. Time to diversify the devestation portfolio. I know rail guns are a bit OP, but you can make a small vessel to fill the roll. Think Starcraft and make a swarm! You got a chance brother. Show us some sweet insect mentality and overwhelm the opponents. You keep busy, I will do so with that like button. Also, congrats on the move. Happy you have a space to focus and work in peace. It was Earned. Looking forward to the next installment. And by the way, I miss my Teratech. Not saying, just saying. Later brother.

I kinda liked the initial design which had 1 EMP ship and 1 HE. Though I would advice you to have weapon groups for the ships. This way u can target different things with different weapons, have your EMP target 1 thing, HE goes somewhere else. Also, if you like alpha strikes, you have to try a rail fanning ship, they are the king of alpha strikes

I have done this accidentally at a starport. I added a ram/bumper that extended past my shield range, and when I hit build, I had a freighter stuck inside, and it is indeed funny for a while. But you need to catch a big ship with enough weapons to make it worth it, and then you need to be able to overpower their thrust with yours to get anywhere useful. You could do the same thing with tractor beams, too, I guess.

Bought the game as soon as this series started, loved it so much I started working on a lore overhaul mod for the game.
Glad to hear your move has gone well! I look forward to seeing more of your experiments and all the different weapons and system you can mess around with to get crazy results. Multi-nuke launchers? Death star superlasers? A railgun the maximum length the game allows you to build? What's next?
You should know that for some reason the default 'U.I. scaling' starts at 150%, instead of 100. You might want to try changing that, I found it to be a whole lot more pleasing myself.

How the enemy targets things is that they always go for the big ship first, so if you have a swarm... they will ignore the swarm and will die to them
It's actually more effective to have the rocket ammo on hand, instead of constructing it from raw. Like, you can store more rocket parts in one square than you can their raw resources.
However, Sulphur is better to carry on hand than Cannon Ammo, because you can only store so much ammo, and each Sulphur is multiple bullets.
BTW as you get into mid/late-game, the Centauri Imperium are supposed to be the "boss" faction, so their ships are generally stronger than those of the other factions in the same tier.
As someone who is both lactose intolerant and loves cheesecake, I have mixed opinions on that intro.

I just recently moved, I'm now upstairs in the corner instead of in the middle of the basement. It's cold. Winter is coming.
The new craft kind of looks like a spider, from the kind that hides under a rock, and jumps at the enemy from surprise. The missiles are like its many eyes, and the things that look kind of like wings are actually the legs, prepared for jump forwards. Sooo... maybe the Jumping Spiders? For the sake of sticking with the insect idea.
The intros just keep getting better!

hey something too consider, since your aim is to build a large scale fleet. Return to the rail gun idea and build a ship similar to what you fought at the end, just one ship designed to be a massive long range sniper with rail guns.

I’d name the little ships Tabanidae as it’s a cool sounding name that is hive sounding and fits their theme perfectly as it is the scientific name for a horsefly, which have a crippling bite that doesn’t do much damage in of itself but is very distracting and can really put you off your game.
But how do we get the gadfly to bite?

I thought that they look like owls, and I know that Artemis is known for Archery and is represented with owls. Also there was the old Titans movie that had the mechanical owl that was a little derpy in its flying.

with the ravens have a tank that as armor and shields with radar room. you will have a powerful ram that helps your ships.
Definitely should make a cluster of small missile ships called the "Locust swarm".. just cause a massive plague on the universe
