    Thank you very much for your tutorial. Because of you, I managed the Kraft Blade cut for the first time. :)

    What types of foam have you been successful cutting? I'm looking at EVA, which might be what you have there; but also at Poron foam. There are a lot of materials to try with my recently acquired Cameo 4 Plus, so if I can avoid buying stuff I simply can't cut; that would be awesome! Thank you so much by the way for the great tutorial! It already eliminated 3mm Poron foam from my list of materials. :D

      So i don't know a lot about foam, I am sorry! My only suggestion, would be make sure that it's flexible, a really dense foam the machine will have trouble with -- Like a nice yoga mat, I am not sure the cameo could cut that. Also simple shapes are going to be the best to cut out, I wouldn't try to cut out a mandala in foam. I hope that helps some!

      @@MissMaryEmbroidery Solid. I'll experiment with it some. I did give EVA a try with the auto blade and my main struggle was it was too thick to cut at 2mm. Trying with craft blade next!

    I have been trying to cut poster board with Cameo 4 plus. Without good results. I am trying to cut basic banner shape (square with points) What settings and blade would you suggest? My Cricut explorer does a great job and and cuts twice as fast or even faster then twice as fast..LOL. So, far disappointed I spent so much money on Cameo4 plus . I wanted the large cutting area. But, if it doesn’t cut poster board??? WTH? Isn’t poster board a basic...LOL????? I can’t seem to get any answers from Silhouette support. Maybe you can help me out? Thanks

      I would try the deep cut blade, & making multiple passes-- you can increase the depth with each pass. If it is pulling up the edges, you might want to slow down the cutting speed. That one is going to be a bit trial and error until you get the cut settings figured out. Paper kinda stuff is just tricky to get to cut right, in my opinion! Silhouette Support is generally just going to you to test cut until you get the right settings. I am hoping when the craziness from the Virus passes, that more information & materials will come out for the 4, so it can really shine. Everybody hated the cameo 3's when they first came out & now people are upset they can't buy them anymore!!

    What's your experience with the CBO9 blade? Sorry, just found your channel/videos looking for the right blade for the Cameo4 Pro to cut adhesive glitter foam. No luck with autoblade. I'll also search your other videos 🥰

      I adore the CB 09 blades. I have videos up on using them in the old & new Cameo machines. They take up setting up but it it's something you would be cutting a lot of, I highly recommend it!!

    why i cut mu kraft using auto blade not break through my kraft foam . i follow your setting. i need help

      FA Studio All machines vary, so cut settings can vary from one machine to the next. You can try increasing the force or make the blade deeper to get it to cut all the way through.

      Miss Mary Embroidery i set to force 15, but still not break through. can you tell me how to make the auto blade deeper ?

      Miss Mary Embroidery how to make it deeper ?

      @MissMaryEmbroidery  4 года назад

      Try increasing the force by one and test cut to see if you get your desired result. It won’t cut it out completely, it’ll cut it out so you can peal it away from the sheet of foam.

      In the video above she is using a large geometry (the state of Georgia) that will allow her to pull and peel the object from the stock material. This will be much more difficult with smaller geometries. Technically speaking, the autoblade will not cut through 2mm foam, since the blade itself is not 2mm long. Length boundaries for the autoblade are between 0.1mm - 1.0mm. The force setting is also a little misleading. Increasing the force will not increase the length of the blade. Ergo, increasing pressure will also not 'force' it to cut through. Your only options are:
      A) Use a craft blade.
      B) Use thinner material. Some craft foam isn't actually 2mm, but is actually 1.8mm. This will leave a .8mm tag to peel through.
      C) Use an Xacto knife to finish the job, cutting through the tag.
      EDIT: Almost forgot!! You can also use a CB09 blade with the blue adaptor. They use replaceable blades and are a lot more function than form. You must manually set the depth but are a preferred option when cutting unique material like foam.

    Does it work with glitter foam?

    • @MissMaryEmbroidery
      @MissMaryEmbroidery  3 месяца назад

      It should work with glitter foam -- just remember that glitter is going to dull the blade quickly!

    So you don’t need to turn on the registration marks?

    • @MissMaryEmbroidery
      @MissMaryEmbroidery  2 года назад

      No you only need registration marks if you are going to print and cut a project. Never need them for regular cutting.

    Hi, can we use auto blade to cut foam sheets? Because you used auto blade to cut craft foam right?

    Can you use 3mm craft foam?

    • @MissMaryEmbroidery
      @MissMaryEmbroidery  Год назад

      Probably not, the max thickness of material is 3mm & when you put it on the mat - it’ll probably be to tall for the machine.
