So the language all the aliens are speaking? That's japanese. Because the Argons were primarily japanese speakers when they met the rest of the community of planets, japanese became the universal trade language that everyone is expected to speak. Maybe something with manufacturing Computronic substrate? That would be a small station, but you’d need a lot of miners.
In my current playthrough I have bled the entire hull part supply of the entire universe dry with the amount of cost+ ships I order and build. I now stuggle to build up the supply chain to produce more hull parts because those stations also need hull parts to be build.
I never imagined seeing X4 on this channel. I remember my journey with the X series. When I was younger I was strolling through a shop here in Germany and saw this really cool looking gamebox. It was a heavily discounted collector’s edition of X3 Reunion. I bought it and being to young I did not understand the game at all. However it came with a audiobook, a novel written for the series specifically. I loved the novel and it really made me want to play the game, so I spend hours reading through the book of a manual. Interestingly it still features some stuff that never made it into the game. Eventually I learned how the game works and the things you could do were just utterly mindblowing to me back then.
Yea but for me the start was with x2. Strolling through stores, x2 was in one of those discount bins. I think I played the game for 2 years almost every day. Didn't understand shit took me a few months to get my first destroyer but to this day I still enjoy the gameplay until first big ship the most. Unfortunately, the time to get there got shorter and shorter. No idea if it was just easier or if I was getting better. Especially because your goals are much more interesting than the playthroughs i've seen. Also I LOVE that the moment you started with "look at the weapons on this ship" that I got the classic RPG "that's some nice equipment you've got there...." vibes and was correct on where this was heading.

Also you can do drive-by boarding with M Freighters on Capital Ships (you'll need about three freighters there) and L freighters on stuff like Asgards and other capital ships. Just don't fire (turn off your guns), engage travel drive, be like a couple of hundred meters away from the capital ship that you want to board and then hit pause, release your marines, and then just fly on. You don't get any negative reputation as long as you don't fire (and you only aggro lone capital ships that will become neutral/blue to you again after some time, though if you aggro the lead vessel of the fleet you'll get the entire fleet after you, so it's best done to lone capital ships). That's a technique called silent boarding. You can even do it to friendly factions without reducing your standing. It's a good way to gain a LOT of money. And also stuff that you can't build yourself, like an Asgard. That way you're also getting under their AA.

Small tip, especially useful for fighting capital ships in fighters: by default autoroll is enabled. You can disable it, but I think it's better to keybind the toggle. Autoroll automatically rolls your ship to what I can only imagine is the Commonwealth Standard Up, super handy for not getting turned around and confused. It does however make orienting your ship, hugging close to large ships, and finely pointing your guns at surface objects much harder. Maybe more than any other ship, fighting a K with or without autoroll is night and day in my opinion. Following the contour of the large undefended upper shell and peeking your guns out is so much easier if you can control the roll yourself.

the cogitive dissonace I have with the X franchise is, from a defence industrial perspective, you - one guy - can build a factorio style economy that churns out capital ships faster than the 1940's USA and 1) nobody else it doing it too and 2) nobody tries to stop you unless you deliberately aggro them for funsies
One of my wishes for the game would be a DLC aimed at expanding the reactivity and scope of the late game. Diplomacy, sector ownership, factions scaling up to match the new realities as the player reshapes the economy like you said etc. Basically more gold to keep things real and RPG rich in the later game. "Halls of Power" or "Escalation" or something like that. Plus a great time to introduce some more capital ships to fit the theme.
It has been quite a long time since I’ve been this excited for a RUclips series. This game looks like it will definitely not swallow my whole life as soon as I buy it
月船 "Moon Ship", interesting system name. Also one of the NPCs mispronounces it as "Getsu Fun/月ふん" which is hilarious because it changes the meaning from "Moon Ship" to "Moon Shit". That "e" at the end is NOT silent! I had a good laugh at it. Thank you for being aware and pronouncing it (mostly) correctly.

Just bought the game because of this first video. Hoping to see how to rule the galaxy!
I'm getting some Wing Commander Vibes from this game. Looks great and i cant wait to see more
Hope to see the next episode on this. Really want to jump in but hard to get into it with little overhead knowledge
Never heard of this game before - great video, can't wait to see more of it
Watched the random video about x4, and just realized it's Perun. Love your other channel, as eastern european I'm very grateful for your work!
And I'm grateful for your comment. cheers!
Sounds like a good idea for a playthrough. Looking forward to future episodes!
YOOO, super stoked for this. Never thought I’d see the day Peren would build the Peren Industries’ Space Military Industrial Complex. Hell yeah!
Glad to see your return to the gaming channel, and with an amazing game no less
Excellent video, I really enjoy how you explain what’s going on. I’ve never really paid much attention to the story in X4
Glad you are recovered and back to gaming. Looking forward to this as I've tried several times to get into X4 but never got very far with it for some reason.
@@leee.5841 the x4 subreddid has a bunch of cool people who are super helpful in getting into x4, they might be able to get you goin?
What a game to save for a glorious return! Hopefully the new episodes will be coming on the regular.
As soon as I woke up, my partner messaged me: "babe wake up a new Perun Gaming video dropped". So now I'm here
Great content, as usual. Still, a PowerPoint covering detailed logistics and associated costs within X4 would have been preferable, but I digress 😂👍
X4's genre is it is a 4X game based off it's previous titles that came out well before even the 1st mount and blade.
the series its even older than freelancer, no joke
I have nothing but praise for the way you delivered this, it covers a lot of the things that newer players like me do not usually see from other creators or they skip out fundamental parts like giving specific orders to traders or miners [something which I struggle with] here's hoping we get to see this stuff from you. gained a new sub today.
Looking forward to this let's play mate, FOR OUR BLUE AND PURE WORLD!
This feels like the kind of game which suits your abilities as an engaging commentator. Looking forward to the next episode!
First time viewer you have great abilities to explain everything you do as well as a nice voice to listen to which doesnt make everything dull and stale so great work
Dude! You've reignited my interest in this game again! Thank you!!! :)
Absolutely need more of this, loved the video!
No fucking way... The crossover my sleep health needed.

There is a term for that:
That ship and it's crew are a *splinter cell.*
Yes. That game's name is based on a very real term, for a very real subject matter.
This really is a great video, great job! This game feels like what Starfield was supposed to be thus far.
This is really cool ! Thank you for using your narrative voice for gaming as well ! :D
This would be an amazing series to watch, I hope you’ve got the free time to keep it up and it stays enjoyable for you to play because I’d love to see how much better your logistics would be in this game than mine always are
ahh i remember enjoying your terra invicta humanity first playthrough, I'm very excited to see you play this since I've been thinking about getting it. Cheer!
it remains to be said if this turns into more of a humanity first or academy run...
@@PerunGamingAU lmao godspeed either way, hope you enjoy playing as much as we enjoy watching 👍
Yes! X4! Continue this please!!!
Great episode, you've got yourself a sub. I've got around 1,200 hours between X2 and the X3s, just bought X4 CoP this very moment, as you've inspired me to get right back into this vastly underrated universe.
the cogitive dissonace I have with the X franchise is, from a defence industrial perspective, you - one guy - can build a factorio style economy that churns out capital ships faster than the 1940's USA and 1) nobody else it doing it too and 2) nobody tries to stop you unless you deliberately aggro them for funsies
Can imagine you making a powerpoint presentation about the current state of the simulated economy your game has, lol.
So excited for this new series
It has been quite a long time since I’ve been this excited for a RUclips series. This game looks like it will definitely not swallow my whole life as soon as I buy it
月船 "Moon Ship", interesting system name. Also one of the NPCs mispronounces it as "Getsu Fun/月ふん" which is hilarious because it changes the meaning from "Moon Ship" to "Moon Shit". That "e" at the end is NOT silent! I had a good laugh at it. Thank you for being aware and pronouncing it (mostly) correctly.
Hearing the various Japanese phrases and terms really shows the older influences of the series but it's pretty cool.
So happy to see you do a playthrough on this game! One of my all time favorites, and one the wider world needs to know about!
Fun video! Definitely going to try to get the Katana
Not surprised Perun plays single player EVE Online. Headcanon lore is that Perun is the savour EVE has always waited for and will never get.
Best space game ive ever played, love it more then EvE, cant wait for more and more updates. Best thing to do is dont be a peace with everyone, it gets so intense
Fantastic. Happy to be notified of your continued existence.
Well as a fan of spaceship game sandboxes from the time of galaxy on fire. I am happy that you introduced this one to me.
Yaay, X games is a blast from the past, I played a lot of X2 back in the day. Haven't had the patience in recent times, but I look forward to see what you do with it!
Welcome back Perun! I hope that you and everything is well. I have missed your gaming channel. Thank you for working through the illness for your main channel. Your work ethic and quality and sincerely admired by me.
that was an amazing narration and explanation. I'll watch more!
This series made me buy this game and has taught me a lot. a great game would recommend and fantastic series
I played the X3 series (Reunion to Farnham's Legend) for thousands of hours, but after Rebirth and X4's early issues I have been cautious about buying this, so I was very pleased to see you are doing a playthrough for us. Good commentary :b
This looks amazing.
This is so cool! I would love to see more. Only suggestion is lower the ingame volume, it is difficult to hear you. Besides that it is really cool
Btw you can recruit crew in equipmend docks and wharfs, that includes captains when you first buy a ship
yep I'll be sure to show that off. But there's a certain something about hiring the most incompetent people you can find hovering around on a station for dirt cheap.
@@PerunGamingAU
Also i would love to see another fight with a k destroyer. They can be dangerous, but are easy to kill with fighters once you know the turret spots and firepower.
@@andorianinspace706 its getting through the K's main shields is the issue. I think its the Split that has the guns with the latent shield piercing to allow you to blow up the main shield generators easily before plinking away at it
@@thomasjohnston1805i mean yeah but just killing the turrets is a big thing, AI has such a hard time destroying any sub components.
this'll be my first X4 playthrough i've really watched, the Terran ships are honestly awesome looking so far, i love that aesthetic, would love to see more of them.
I'm trying to gt into X4 and then one of the lads on r/x4foundations pointed out YOU of all people started a playthrough. I'm SO here for that. Weeeee more learning from/with Perun.
Really excited to see more of this. I enjoyed the TI series so much and this one's shaping up pretty well I think.
Wonderful video, i started yesterday and a lot of beginner info in this video helps a lot
Glad to have you back, looking forward to more of this series soon hopefully
More more more more more! Pretty pls?
What a cool game!
Neat, a new game to put on my wishlist.
WOOOOOH welcome back PerunGaming! X4 looks super interesting, would absolutely love to see this becoming a series
This game looks incredible.
Thank you - this has been on my radar for a while, but I've always been hesitant to start because of the depth.
