Dr, thank you for this breakdown of the blood pressure reading.

  • @DrTonyaBreauxShropshire

More research has been done on systolic blood pressure, which perhaps looks like systolic blood pressure must be the most important overall. As you so eloquently stated, both are important. However, we know that as of 2017 that "it's the systolic blood pressure not diastolic that correlate with CVD outcomes and death in people over 50 years old" according to research.
Thank goodness research has answered this question along with other important questions about the best treatment strategy to reduce morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular disease.
Prior to the 1960's, doctors were resistant to treating hypertension because there were no good studies to highlight that high blood pressure should be controlled. As a result, we lost a lot of people including President Roosevelt.
I am convinced that knowledge, training, and support will help save many lives. Keep it up!

If we are highly mekanated, we may need more vitamin D3/K2
the K2 keeps calcium out of our arteries ..so they won't be stiff, or less stiff
D3 is extra, since we don't get much from sun
A good way to get K2, is eating NATTO. you could get from asian markets
That could be one of TSKI MIKA from Japan's secrets

So, based on this, both numbers are important, but for different reasons and for different demographic groups. It took her quite a while to reveal what, in the opinion of the AHA- the American Heart Association, is a healthy (maximum) blood pressure. I wonder, does the American Cardiology Society concur with the American Hearth Association on this (or are they two of the same thing?)?
Good video. I will be getting a copy of her book...

Am the respect for your work and dedication. With all this respect, if you'll allow me I would point the fact that a more considered, structured presentation would have halfed its time and made it more easy to follow and understand all of it. I think of you get rid of that big amount of marketing stuff, showing more passion toward the main point of this presentation, you would get even more success with it than you already have. Thank you for the good knowledge, I'm still curious what actually the dyastola pressure (high or low) does in our body. Cheers!

Dr. Frita, Amazon just delivered your book! I read chapter 1 last night before bed. What I'm appreciating so far is you are one of us. You talk in a way I can understand. I understand the white Doctors are sharing the same information but their speech patterns don't reach my heart, (which coincidentally is what I'm trying to protect). I was diagnosed about 7- 8 years ago. I'm retired now. My time is more my own. I'm going to turn my attention to my health before it's too late. Thank you so much for this book. $20 is nothing. I spend more than that out with my girls.

i would say diastolic cause it informs you of the kidneys and the other is your glands. if the kidneys and glands is not working right then the blood pressure will become whacked.

I took my wife to ER earlier this year with a BP 192/134. Kiaser kept her there for a couple of hours to lower her bp. I had to fight with them because they were sending her home with a BP 173/111. They told her she'll be okay with that BP. SMH I feel some hospitals after covid just want you in an out. Now she's on pills for BP. Can you get BP from your family? Like passed down?

Micheal, yes it is very hereditary. Come to think of it, we most like eat the foods we have been eating since childhood , basically our lifestyle don't change much as we grew up. Unless, we take drastic steps which starts from the brain by identifying and accepting what was bad and actively and intentionally changing it before it's too late. I know from personal experience having seen my uncles suffered so from diabetes and HBP, I have equipped myself with wealth of information since I was 14 about this diseases as I don't want to fall victim.
