Chassagne is also the co-founder of the Montreal independent band Arcade Fire. Acclaimed by critics throughout the 2000s, Arcade Fire has been nominated for multiple Grammys, and won Album of the Year in 2011 for The Suburbs.
Since the beginning of her career, Chassagne has used her voice to speak for Haiti. A song titled “Haiti” appeared on the first Arcade Fire album, Funeral, released in Fall 2004.
Arcade Fire has donated $1 per ticket, both to Partners In Health and KANPE for every concert since 2005. To date, Arcade Fire has raised over $2 million for Haiti, trained more than 1,000 volunteers and signed up over 50,000 fans.
Chassagne supports many initiatives for Haiti, small and large.

Regine is a very special person. She has such a talent for music. Regine can play anything she hears. She can make all kinds of music and can play a ton of different instruments. She's brilliant with songwriting. She throws her heart and soul into everything she does. She's got a lot to show for all her hard work and now has something else to show for it. She really deserves that honorary doctorate.

@@craigramsay53 thanks, the little bit of elementary French I know was enough for me to pick up on the incorrect pronunciation. A bit surprising! It's normally so important for academia to get these things right.

What is wrong with this picture she spoke of everything that is caring, kind ,generous ,giving, loving ,honorable and genuine without a mention of giving any glory to God.Her parents must have left something out in raising her ,They couldn't have been to good of parents they forgot about the creator and what he gives and loves.
