Drain Pump Replacement on a Maytag Bravos Washing Machine

Pumps have a seal around the shaft to the impeller. Normally no water at all should enter the motor. It wasn't the plastic, but the pump shaft seal that failed. Water got past the seal and rusted and leaked out on the floor.

Thanks mjkirk12 for the insight. We ended up having another issue with this washing machine that I couldn't fix so we bought a new washing machine. Hoping I don't have the opportunity to make another repair video for a long time.😉

In my bravos washer water pump is good but it doesn't go on,

I wonder if it was shorted out. Probably needs to be replaced with a new one.

Next kn your list, either new washer or transmission, yournbearings zre shot, requiring you to replace the entire transmission, so yeah. Bearings are bad
