Do it the other way. Called reverse bleeding. Fill the syringe with fluid, and push it through. The air will rise and come out the reservoir. Only thing you need to do before you do that is empty the reservoir at least 3/4 of the way so you have room for the new fluid to enter.
For better results the syringe must be ABOVE the nipple and the tube must bend upwards because air travels upwards. Press pedal in slowly and hold for minute or so till bubbles get less. Release pedal and wait for brake fluid to flow into Master cylinder chamber before pressing pedal again. This will allow more air to come out. Start with furthest wheel from Master cylinder or ABS module. ....close the nipple BEFORE releasing pedal
I seal the bleeder valve threads with teflon tape so you know when the fluid is airless before pulling a vacuum with a Harbor Freight hand squeeze vac pump.
hello andrea, thanks for visiting my channel and spending time watching my video. that's a good suggestion. that time when filming the video, my only goal is to flush out old oil in the system at the same time the trapped air in the system so by pressing the brake pedal with the bleeder valve open, the brake fluid will be push and flow to the syringe as well as any trapped air ( if there's any). It's important to close the bleeder valve first before releasing the brake pedal just to avoid any vacuum effect when you release it. In my latest video about brake bleeding, I used special tool for this job. below is the link. Cheers! ruclips.net/video/mLE1o3glVnA/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Dgb0oIfdGSU/видео.html
Yeah I made a suction machine out of old fire extinguisher, worked real good. I could also use it as a pressure bleeder through the master cylinder cap.
yes your correct, thanks for watching, you can also watch this video ruclips.net/video/twJd__ynWB0/видео.htmlsi=DPQGyd8Ll_rP1gLs this video shows the effect of trap air inside the brake system. specifically at 6:02 mins of the video.
Most, if not all that air is being sucked past the coarse thread of the bleed nipple. Take it out and coat the threads with thick silicone grease and try again. Makes all the difference.
i do this on my bikes .no reason why it wont work .u can get a long piece of clear tube so u can stand in front of the car and watch the bubbles come into the cylinder
Works unless you have ABS. Those ABS units don't like this sort of thing and any dirt or rubber fragments in the fluid already in the line can easily ruin the ABS unit. Likewise, if you're pushing the pistons back to change brake pads on an ABS equipped vehicle, discharge the brake fluid through the bleed nipple, don't push it back up towards the reservoir (and ABS unit.
That's a lot of air for one brake line. I think your bleeding around the nipple. Just add a bit of silicon grease and employ a tie-twist around your tubing to create a better seal.
that's a good suggestion, I tried using cable tie to seal but it's difficult to dispense the older brake fluid on the small syringe, as you can notice, there is no brake fluid leak around the nipple. I have another video using 200cc syringe with flexible tubing that can fit and seal around the nipple, if you have time you can watch this video ruclips.net/video/Dgb0oIfdGSU/видео.html

The air won't get trapped into the ABS pump or master cylinder with this method?

I'm going to try your method
@@nsxt290 yeah that works for me.
I used this method successfully, thanks to you there was no need to buy a professional tool, thank you very much, I recommend it has the same problem

Hi Sir You should temporary apply some grease around bleeding nozzle in order to avoid the syringe sucking air from the shop.

Put a zip tie on the end of tube it will hold fast around the bleeder. And can go on and off as much as needed. Just pull and push

Great video, great music, awesome way to bleed brakes. Thank you.
the music really is something else for this
I had used a suction machine for mine...Simply magical lol

@@jsnjcnt bullshit
i thought about it too ill give a try thanks for sharing
Sir ask lang nagpalit ako brake master cylinder repair kit...dapat ba talaga i bleed ung mga caliper salamat..wala kasi kapit ah
This is an excellent idea.
Wot about topping up the brake fluid reservoir ? From time to time so you don't run out and get air in the system
is it possible to reverse bleed so bubbles come out in the reservoir ? i do it on my bikes
I wish you would've said where you bought this large syringe.
Its called a catheter tip syringe, lots of places online or if you have a vet they can order in a box or maybe give you one :)
pharmacy?
do you really have to push the pedal if u suck out all the fluid with the syringe?
No you don't. That comment was made by someone else and not the poster of the video.
Soon the brake fluid will swell up the rubber in the syringe and make it inoperable.
Yes its the right way . Excellent ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I will try this method with my scooter
hey man, it looked like you had some brake fluid in your air brake system there

Wonderful.
Thank you 🙂
Why not just inject brake fluid into the bleeder screw and force to air out of the top?
your abs module will say fuck to you
Classic Stang. Is that something you have done and if so did it work?

Good pm,
Ask ko lang, kapag ng brake bleeding ka ba, dapat front and back tires, or pwd sa back lang kasi yun lang ang nagalaw ko? Thanks
