As a German, it is funny for me to watch an Asian looking British RUclipsr in a German apartment, and everything looks so German, so normal. Quite different from US apartments.
You did such an amazing job in making this apartment a real home for the 3 of you. You found creative ways to maximize your space and you used complimentary colors so there is a real flow to everything. Thanks for sharing. Hope your next apartment has been fun to decorate as well.
wow! this is such a beautiful apartment. We are currently looking for an apartment in Munich and it has been a mission and a half 😐 when we finally get the apartment, I hope it looks this beautiful 🤩😍
Thank you! I was quite sad and sentimental when we had to move out, a big reason why I record this video, but thankfully we found another place just in time :) I hope you find a beautiful home too!
You have a beautiful apartment and I’m very jealous of your balcony space. I love your creative design ideas too. It’s amazing what you can do in a smaller space.
OMG, you spent so much time decorating all this and make it look nice and at the end you tell us that you need to move out? Did you find another apartment?
😅😅😅 haha I know right! It wasn’t my choice to move. Fortunately we did! I’m taking some time to do up the next place, will post videos about it in the future!!!
The prizes in Munich are insane. That is a beautiful apartment but not worth the prize. I live in Northern Germany near a big city and you can rent a villa for that prize here. Unbelievable :O
We recently moved out of this apartment and bought a place of our own nearby… if you find the rental prices crazy in Munich, wait until you hear the prices for buying!! 😂😂😂
Really loved your home and the creative additions…one question though, since it’s on rent , would you have to re paint the walls and cupboard handles to original way ?
Thanks so much ☺ We do have to paint the walls back to the original white, but in the end we didn't have so much time, so we paid the building owner 500 euros for them to do it for us. All the furniture in this apartment were ours (except the kitchen) so we didn't have to repaint the handles :)
Hi! Could you please share a link or name of the light switch gadget? I’m looking into installing a closet in front of a current switch too and love the idea of moving the switch somewhere else to maximize closet space. Thank you in advance!
Sure thing! This is the product we got from Amazon: www.amazon.de/dp/B0725QGBKD/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_api_i_ACZ0JB3XR030JNHT037M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&pldnSite=1
It's quite normal! Double glazing windows, wood floors... you do have to decorate it yourself though! Most places are not furnished, some even comes without kitchens.
My beef would be in this apartment that it doesn't show a lot of space for bookcases. I like to keep at least 200 books around where I live so it's always missed in these tour videos.
1600 euros?!...that is almost 23 euro per squaremeter...i know Munich is expensive, but i think that's pretty sick ^^ But thanks for the video though! :)
Haha because we drink beer and we are too lazy to bring the bottles back to the shops! You get some money back for returning the bottles to the supermarket, we just didn’t do it frequently.
Nice apartment, but damn the rent is high in München(I even think it is in top 3 most expencive cityes in the WORLD😅) Isn't it more profitable to buy a place, rather than give so much money away? For example I'm living in east Germany and we decided to buy a house with no down payment and a rate of 450€ + utilities for 15 years. It's penauts basicaly😁. But then I asume the wages are at least 30% higher in west germany, especialy Bavaria🤔
Hi Philip, the rent is sooo sooo high!! With working-from-home now a possibility, we were considering moving to Berlin just so to reduce the cost of living 😅 Wages are higher in Bavaria, but think not as high as 30%. It definitely makes sense to purchase a property now, since interest rates are quite low and inflationnnn. Since our lease is coming to an end and we have to move out, we are on the hunt to purchase.
Bought a home, and it is ‘cheaper’ and financially smart. However, there’s a lot to be said for not doing yard work or seemingly constant maintenance and being able to pickup and move easily is always an option!
@@scottb_02 yeah I get it. We sold our home with a huge profit before the pandemic and at the moment I'm also renting. Not because I saw Covid19 no ine saw that comming but because I feel marjet is at the absolute top and the day if reckoning is really close.
@@baixu If you didn't buy until now I would wait, the market is at the top and it would be wise to wait. My home made me a great profit after I sold it and also I sleep easier and waiting for something to happen. And the great thung is if you live in the place you purchased it after 3 years when you sell it you don't need to pay any taxes😎 For example if you buy a property and rent it out you need to wait 10 years ti sell it without taxes🤔
Beautiful apartment, however, be realistic that you have to have money or a high monthly income in order to afford ALL OF THESE SHINY THINGS, including this big apartment.
I word of advice, which by the way has nothing to do with discrimination. And base my opinion on a person by their actions. Be very cautious with regards to who will be your neighbors. I am currently living near Indian computer engineering students. Ever since they moved in I have been having issues with my Wifi and computer network being hacked. Besides that, they like to save money and so they will fit about 4 people in a one bedroom apartment. Which causes excessive noise at all hours. Additionally they like having phone conversations outside which usually tends to be in front of other tenants apartments which can cause a disturbance. When they use the laundry room they leave the clothes in the machines over night and do not clean up after themselves once they are done. Additionally, They are not very clean in general. Once a cat must have taken a dump near their front door and they never cleaned it up. This attacted flies in my home. It was a mess.
I love your unpretentious humor! And the gorgeous cat!

Love the separate home office!
Thank you! It was so useful to have this separate space when we started working from home 🏡
That’s a very nice size apartment and compatibly priced as in the U.S. The size is larger than the ones I’ve seen in Britain. ❤
Its always awesome to have a good engineer around.
Yep, so handy and solves a lot of problems!
Beautifully decorated💗💗 I love your fun personality 😊
Thank you so much Pammy 😊😊😊
I love your apartment and great light switch tip! 💡
Ty for the tour! You have a real ,practical, tasteful designer s eye! Hope your next place you have lots of fun making it a home .💕🇨🇦👍
Thank you for your lovely kind words! ☺️☺️☺️
So very nice memories with you in your amazing place! This video made my day!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I know this video is 2 years old 8:00 but for the coffee table could be used Corian with marble look

The cat is adorable. 💖💜🐈
I agree!! 😍😍😍
I love your energy!!!
I love your comment!! 😁
Nice apt. Adorable cat!
Thank you!! 😊😊
I live in Germany, windows get really dirty from pollen in the spring time.
I know right!! My new home has SO MANY MORE WINDOWS and it's a nightmare to clean 🫣😆
Love the living room
Thank you! It wasn’t the largest room but it was so bright and in the end was very comfortable 😁
Lovely apartment! Great taste!
Thank you for saying that! 😄

Hi, Are usually houses in Germany modern like that ? or this is exemption
thank you for sharing

Beautiful apartment like you
Thank you 😊
I love it!
That's great to hear Dawn! ☺
Can you please tell where is this apartment.. I want to rent in the same building so that I can get the similar apartment.
Unfortunately the building is under renovation, so no one is living there anymore!
alles is so hübsch and you are so positiv i leke the video
I´m pleased you think so! It was a great apartment and I'm so glad I get to share it with people.

if you dont mind my asking but what do you do in Germany for work? Can you speak German fluently?
Hi Diana, I am an architect! And unfortunately no, German language is still not part of my skillset 😅
