I'm glad you got this clock working. Regulating can be tricky. Sometimes if a clock is going slow you can regulate a clock several times over a few days and it seems to make no difference, then it suddenly starts going very fast... then you try to regulate it again to slow it down, and it's the same story the other way around. I've had a few clocks like that. After putting oil on the pivots, sometimes it takes two days or more for it to make a noticeable difference. And I think your English is very good!
Thanks, Tommy :) I just sometimes find it difficult to speak fluently. Now that you mention it, I haven't oiled this clock yet. I'll have to do that in the future.
@@luka3377 It's always a good idea when you have the movement out of it's case, just to put a drop of oil on every pivot. It does make a difference. Also apply a drop of oil onto the top pivot of the floating balance where the wire goes down through it. When I replaced the movement of my Junghans Exacta mantel clock I did this, and it brought the movement back to life after many years of disuse. It took about two days to get it to work properly.
I’ve been dying for one for ages! They’re so rare in America. I’m glad you’ve got one! :D
