It's been 4years I'vestarted working, I still remember this video which helped me to clear interview with ease.I'm here in 2020 just to thank Anupriya 🙏 😊
Yes I'm from ECE department and now I got selected in almost 5 companies. Everytime when I tell about myself in interview, I follow these technique in my version...! What about you?
@@sailakshmipaidimarla2665 They might ask sometimes data structures and even sometimes silly questions like code to find greatest number. It completely depends on Your resume and HR mood and knowledge. In my case i prepared well in DS but he asked about RPA because i mentioned that in my resume and after everything asked from that only...
Excellent advice! This is absolutely critical to making a strong impression on hiring managers and recruiters. To make a truly unforgettable interview introduction I would also add: - Make your introduction concise, speak for 2-3 minutes and do not go above 5 minutes; - Link your experience to what the company is looking for; - Practice, preferably in front of a mirror or a camera. If you can, rehearse in front of someone else to get additional feedback. - Do not attempt to summarize your whole resume; keep it brief and relevant! Best of luck to anyone preparing for a job interview!
One additional recommendation would be to answer with question with "I reviewed the position and it appears to be a great match for my three of my core strengths/skills, problem solving, leadership, and driving results with data (identify your specific strengths for the position you are applying to). I am happy to discuss all three, but is their one strength you would like me to focus on that would aligns with your specific needs right now for this opening?" This is important because you turned your focus specifically to the role and how you are a fit, these are the critical items for the tell me about yourself question. Remember sometimes company priorities change after they post the role, don't assume that they won't have a specific skill or strength that is critical right now/today; you are allowing the interviewer to see that you are focused on their needs and removing any guess work or assumptions about what is most important to them. This strategy may only work 25% of the time, but in those instances you will be telling the interviewer exactly what they want to hear. If not, you are still focused on aligning your core strengths/skills with the position and this is always a good idea! I hope this insight helps!

Self Introduction: Good afternoon mam. First of all thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to talk about my self on this platform. My name is karishma gupta. I am 20 years old. I am from bihar but i currently staying in delhi. If I talk about my qualifications. I have completed my 12th from science stream with 70%and recently I am pursuing bachelor of arts in english hons from Delhi University. There are five people in my family. I love listening music. That's all about me. Thank you 💚
5:29 Hobby can be a good step to describe your quality like example :- "I built my concentration towards my work is build from of my hobbies sketching and poetry' Or "My hobbies like sketching and poetry help me to build concentration towards my work"
This type of introduction is suitable for HR round. If you are experienced and giving your first or second round, it is really important for you to understand first who is taking your interview, then you decide your answers. If it is tech first round, start with Name and highest education, then jump to your skill set, experience and how you can contribute to organization. There you need to focus on projects, tools and technologies. Second round could be with management, there you need to understand competencies, because their focus is on team dynamics and competencies like communication, collaboration, customer focus etc. Your family background, Hobbies etc.. HR will ask for sure.
Beware: if the interviewer says "Tell me about yourself" that means you have a bad interviewer. Answer the question with "Didn't you read my resume? I spent a long time writing it and I don't have a verbal version of it just to make your lazy ass life easier!"
+HOWYOUDOIN884 There is a possibility that your resume has been designed by a professional and you as a candidate are at a loss while answering this very basic question.
There is no certification for interviewing, so to think none of the people that are interviewing are idiots is naive and paying them too much respect. If they ask you to tell them about yourself, they just ran out of the gate with the most obvious clue that they are shitting interviewers, so of course they are going to immediately lose the respect of the interviewee, thus the lack of eye contact and other signs of disinterest in the interviewer. That's why if they do have to stoop to such a low level and ask you to tell them about yourself, you should just reply with "What about my background would you like to know?"
All these information are stated in your resume, interviewer not to look for these information. Just introduce your self , e.g name and where you're come from..then tell about your personality. You're hardworking, innovative, passionate in what you do, organized people and etc. You might do personality test to understand yourself. Only programmers are there.. they wont place engineers nor they have an engineering business.. they dont engineer anything rather they assemble things which is engineered by product companies. so basically the salary will be like 20k to 30k for freshers, while the current rate of engineer(fresher) at its lowest level is 14 to 15lakh per anum. Once you start wokring at these service companies(eg:- infosys, tcs, ustglobal and tons of other service shits) you will get used to some tools (jvm dotnet, etc etc) and u will basically master in that but mastering in a toool is just like a mechanic mastering in maruti800car.. When years changes technology will change u will adopt new technologies, when ur experience increases, company has to pay you more, but your job will be done by a junior(mechanic) soon. So as part of cost cutting they wil cut you as soon as possible. And when you came out of the company none will give u new job . because you know tools, but not how to build things, because at the end of the day you dont know engineering comparing to a real engineer in a product company who is of having same years of experience as yourself. Basically being placed in this kind of service company in another way is part of self respect. in india we have so many big oppurtunity companies ar ethere like flipkart myntra naukri etc etc in the product sector.. One important thing in your whole life you never get a chance to study engineering while u are in a service company. becasue those people basically dont know what it is.. why i am saying is that in this small age i got chance to work with big product gaints.. still continuing...:D
Yeah that makes sense. Thanks for the reply I never thought things work this way in service kind of corporate world. Thanks a lot for clarifying it to me.
