Hello! Thank you! I should have mentioned it, and I apologize if I didn't. I started making the loveys back in January. I didn't make them all this week.😊 The parfait chunky makes great Loveys. I would use a smaller crochet than recommended for the Bernat blanket yarn. Have a great day!!🥰

I purchased the Mama Made Minis book and want to get started with the loveys. Thank you for sharing the ones you have done. They are beautiful! I am wondering if the larger dinosaur is a different pattern or a different size yarn? You showed some smaller dinosaurs and some larger ones?
Thank you! Mama Made Minis has two dino loveys on Etsy: one smaller than the one in the book and one larger. The size will also change depending on the yarn and hook size. I have been wanting to make the larger one again.🥰

Hello! No, 😕 The Mama Made Minis are paid patterns. I still sometimes struggle with written patterns and prefer a visual tutorial if possible. I am a visual learner, and I am sure I'm dyslexic, but the more I work from written patterns, the easier it gets.

I brought the book -Mama Made Minis. These are so cute.....want to make the dusty dragon pattern but it doesn't tell you how to attached the ears to the head. wish they had pictures.

Thank you! I will have to do a video. 🥰 I made color changes where I wanted the pink to start. Then, 1/2 way on the body, I crocheted Back Loop to begin building the skirt ruffles on those front loops. Then, I stitched the neckline. I hope it helps. 💖

How do you find your loveys wash up? Is there one yarn that you've found washes up better than others? I'm thinking how good that nubby texture would feel on little gums sprouting teeth... Perfect little comfort toy!

I totally loved all your Lovies. I’ll have to try Bernat Blanket again. Unfortunately when my arthritis in my shoulder acts up, the Bernat Blanket is too hard for me to pull through to make the sc. I haven’t tried Parfet Chunkie yet. I’ve made tons of dolls and Lovies from Bernat velvet or velvet slim for my grandkids but I’ve noticed the ends come undone or the magic ring comes undone. I tie my ends in knots and weave in end back and forth a few times. I guess Bernat velvet might be too soft to use for a toy for a child. What do you suggest?
Thank you! I have not used Bernat Velvet, but I bet your makes were adorable and loved. I found that Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth works really well and doesn't shed like Parfait Chunky, but there are not a lot of colors like the Parfait Chunky. With both of those yarns, I can use a 4.5 or 5 mm hook. I crochet my starting yarn back into my magic ring. I hope this is helpful and that you can crochet without pain. Have a great day! 🤟🏻

@@BIOHAZARDzz642 For my eyes, I find a stitch and loop the black yarn around it till it starts looking like an eye. Then, outline in white. Sometimes, I will do a French knot, but I have better luck looping the yarn over a stitch. I will see if I can video the process and share it.🥰

I need help! My loveys come out cute, but I’m a beginner and i can’t get the loose ends not to pop out! Help 🥲
Good morning! With my loose ends for the head and ears arms, I will pull a couple at a time, sometimes 3, through a stitch space in the head, tie a knot, cut my ends, then tuck the knot back into the head with the scissors. For the legs, I will weave the ends through a few stitches on the bottom and bring the end up through several stitches in the leg, which will get knotted in with the leg. I hope this is this helpful. 🥰
I'm about to start the unicorn pattern and was wondering if you could give me the dimension of the head? Apparently I crochet loose and all my stuff turns out BIG! I made a hippo from another pattern using the requested hook/yarn and used double the amount of yarn it said. It was huge but still cute. ;0) I'd like to not do that with this unicorn pattern if at all possible! TIA
Hello! I would recommend using parfait chunky and a 4.5 mm hook for the head and a 5mm hook for the body. That's what I do when I want to make a smaller version. I'm sure whatever size yours is, they're just as adorable. I hope this was helpful. Have a great weekend. ✌️🏻🤟🏻🧶

Thank you! No, I made the color change for the dress, and when I got about 1/2 way on the body, I crochet in the back loops so I could go back and make the ruffle. Then I added the straps separately. 🥰
