Their huge salaries should be attached and pay the parents. But students, please be aware and be cautious when giving your money to some of these people. The application process in US, Canada institutions is directly on the websites.
The people from uasi ngishu should wake up. Chelilim is ready to siphon county money to pay school fees abroad Very ridiculous and expensive . We should pay the millions to Moi univesity to improve our school and sponsor gradutes to work abroad
That DG doesnt look serious on this matter. He has been paid to protect the former and current Governors.DCI should complete investigations and this guys taken to court and jail.I sympathise with these students and their parents while the overfed thieves go scot free..
Eng. Barorot is not answering the question as required. Just lies for example is the money safe ? The answer should be YES or NO ....the question does not require much explanation
This smells like scam. There is no fees in the nordic countries where Finland belongs. m in Norway and it is the same here. Unless they are asking for upkeep money, which also is strange coz students work part time to earn their living
Dude we live overseas wacha uonho na .....that's strange colleges overseas generally do not operate with MOUs...admissions are all individual basis....there is nothing like MOUs on admissions overseas
This guy next to deputy governor sounds unprepared for this interview. 😂😂 So many generalities without substance.. kudos to deputy governor for well articulated points.
If you go to Alex Chams media you will see that he has been very successful in the airlift of students to the US...no complaints so far... he's just probably not good in interviews.
Bob Mwiti cannot speak specifically to the Uasin Gishu saga. He is there to give general pointers and red flags, if any, that people should look out for in such initiatives.
In Finland if u name is mentioned to an extent if u siphoned money from innocent unsuspecting people who strain to get their money, u step aside But in Kenya business as usual
@@mercyyoutubecheptoo9144 There's more than meets the eye. Hakuna kitu kama sponsorship. Have you ever heard students from the airlift program give success story without coercion.?
This upcoming journalist per excellent-(Jessy Rogers) with great hosting skills at his age and a promising future a head of him is a great asset to ktn. Big up young man. Back to Eng. Baroroti(DG), each individual has their own way of assessing or judging or evaluating but let me personally give my personal encounter and first-hand experience with him at Safaricom for over a decade-great polished, uncorrupted engineer that is cool, quiet but a top performer for the period I worked with him. Eng. On this show you demystified that analogy to the letter sir. No blame game, no refusing to answer all questions posed and no stammering when answering Jessy's questions nor those thrown your way by aggrieved parents and students. On a scale of 1-10, you scored 9 in my view. Others may have seen it differently. What I heard and conceptualised; 1 There were individuals picked to manage the fund but somehow they lacked accounting and management skills to handle it as the kitty grew thick and fast against their original plan 2. That, whereas they had challenges of managing the fund, in between the administration of the same, some biases or miscalculations happened that saw them send money to who is who rather than who paid 3. That, because students were admitted in different institutions of learning, for some reason the signatories decided in their own volition, maybe, to wire a full package for the number of students admitted not withstanding the fact that some within that cohort could have experienced challenges of visa, passport or any other logistical issue. Some hitherto are yet to leave Kenya despite the full fees having been paid for semester one. 4. When wiring money to those institutions per cohort, the signatories might have assumed all those students had paid, but DG committee has established such monies are in Finland institutions unutilised so it has called for refund. 5. That, whereas some parents/students paid full semester fees as far back as February 2022, the fund managers have been dispatching latest entrants ignoring first comers-firstcome-firstserved basis. An element of bias or corruption or undue influence from without. 6. Senator Mandago was 100% right and in concurrency with Eng. Baroroti that the amount the former left in the account then was not what the DG is speaking to because fund managers have been busy clearing students to go, paying for resident ones accommodation while in some cases they pay second semester for them that are already in Finland albeit some student's parents haven't deposited the semester fee, just because there is ready cash in the account. 7.I also got it from DG that the new administration doesn't have the privilege of the Statement of Account at KCB, just like Mandago has, maybe due to the fact that they sensed some unbecoming irregular allocation and misallocations that they didn't wish to involve themselves till DCI and EACC establishes and tracks the fund trail. Which in my view is understood. Calling the two agencies to hasten was a wise and noble statement from a senior county leader. 8. That the funds irregularly wired out(18M) has been recalled and proper accounting records have been established by DG office with an assurance that upon the investigation report and proper balanced sheet formed to make sense of who gained a d who lost or misappropriated, the county will sit down and review in a view to assist all the aggrieved students/parents with finality. This undertaking in my view is the best parting shot from Eng. Baroroti that I find human and timely. The problem is the anxiety and restlessness on students that are still unsure of their fate. The sad truth is that, as a county, they never visualised a scenario where such eventuality could have hit them to set aside an emergency kit to quickly resolve the dilemma. That is the saddest thing and now calls for patience with that assurance that their money shall finally be refunded. I can only imagine the agony, anguish, anxieties and desperation that these young innocent Kenyans plus their parents have been going through. I pray for them to exercise little more patience to accord the county a chance to rectify the wrongs already done. I hope it shall be well soon . God takes it up where human ability hits the wall....
