Slamming Palomino my man! They spook so easily. I've seen guys splishing & splashing into pools scaring fish left & right. Perfect presentation. BRAVO.
Those stockers are huge compared to what's stocked down here in South Carolina. Of course we only have probably 6 or 7 rivers/creeks able to hold trout. I enjoy your videos. Tight lines.
Thanks Will! Pa has some of the best trout stocking programs in the country. Pretty sweet that they can stock trout anywhere down south. I always thought it would be too warm. Stay fishy in 2023 my dude!
Dude you’ve got to be one of the luckiest guys alive! I gotta go hit up the DH creeks before the season starts. I’m still wondering what’s gonna happen with the wiss. Who knows
That was a really neat catch I wish I could have explained it better, but I literally cast onto a rock out in the water let it rest there then pulled it off for the perfect drift twitched it once then he hammered it I though I was snagged for a second because she was so powerful in the current. Definitely one of my neater palomino catches. Thanks for watching Will!
Beautiful Palomino man, Was surprised myself at how big it was, I have only caught two in my life and was lucky to be at the pond when they were stocked so had to come back the next few days!
They're some awesome fish I saw a lot of people fishing that area earlier in the day I was binding my time catching a few "normal" trout waiting for a chance to fish those rapids. There must have been a reason why so many jamokes were fishing that hole, i guess I found out what it was.
@@EasternPaFishing , just a heads up, when they say the downstream limit and upstream limit, It doesn't mean that they stocked those areas. It just means the boundaries of where those trout regulations are supposed to be enforced/followed. I've seen plenty of time is where the upstream downstream Limit, but they only stock somewhere in the middle. Typically a park or a bridge or an easy access point or easement where they can access the Creek
🎣 another awesome and wicked fish catching video right here, nothing but beautiful beauties these trout are and there's no question about. A job well done, for sure. also march 1st, i am going to a dick's sporting Good store and buying my fishing license plus trout stamp. I think the guy told me around $37 .00 for them. A little expensive but what can you do. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They did increase the price by a couple dollars this year. Which is a little annoying considering half the people around here don't buy licenses. I think it would be better if they enforced the requirement to have a license more and increase the fine for not having one, rather then make the people who actually buy one pay more. Ehh.
This is only my second year getting into fishing, and last year I started too late in the season to do any real trout fishing so I'm not too knowledgeable yet. If you're doing catch and release can you fish stocked waters before opening day? Or is it specifically the delayed harvest zones that are able to be fished before opening day (obviously with artificial)? I've been trying my best to find information and read up to make sure I don't break any rules, but I haven't been able to find anything perfectly cut and dry pertaining to C&R outside of season on the state websites.
I'm checking every day seems like they added one of the stockings back for the perkiomen maybe they will figure it out. I couldn't imagine there being no trout left
Maybe a stupid question.. I want to take my 9 year old for mentored youth day. Where is a decent place to take him? I’m in lower bucks, right near Montgomery county.
there are no differences between a palomino trout or a West Virginia golden rainbow, they are simply names that are used synonymously to describe the same fish, same subspecies, with the same mutation

I can almost guarantee someone poached your Pali by now. Poaches are brutal on DH areas. Lack of law enforcement and the ability to fish those areas during non-peak hours explain why most of those places get emptied out long before June 15. I see it every year. Some people are selfish pigs that need to lose a few teeth.
Less than $40 a year is a pretty good deal if you ask me. You can also always go on the pa fish and boat website and find creeks that are stocked near you.
Getting started with a bang, let’s gooooooo 💪🏻👊🏻
Thanks for watching Jim I'm heading back today for some more!
That was a GREAT day on the water!!!!!

Oh man that pali was awesome man congrats
Thanks Tom there were a lot of holes I didn't get to hit last time. I'll have to try again soon!
I subscribed to your channel not long ago and every time you upload on your channel this is what I have to say 🤟🏻👍🏻🎣🎣🎣
Thanks for watching brother. You're the man!

Thanks Todd. Hopefully making it back up there today, there are quite a few hole I didn't get to fish last time.
Congrats on that Pali bro. I ain't got one yet. That spot was awesome
You're the man J! Thanks for watching!
@@EasternPaFishing Anytime bro. We gotta get together this year!!
oh crap. I didn't know I could fish this creek right now 😱 its right behind my neighborhood
Just remember catch and release and lures only!
@@EasternPaFishing yup it's usually the kids with live bait at the bridge

I clicked on this in .02 seconds. Im STOKED for the season.
Beautiful stream and great job with artificial bait. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Where the place at
The palomino looked a bit surprised at the situation too
I'm sure it was. She had positioned herself in a spot where she was almost impossible to cast to
what kind of hook are you using? And is there a weight in the front of it? These videos getting me hype for early spring fishing lol
I use an Aberdeen hook size 6 or 7 and I typically just use a cheap split shot a foot or so away from the hook. Fall trout season is here.
Just so everyone knows, the "palamino" trout is a mutation of the rainbow trout. It first occurred in a hatchery in West Virginia in the late 1950s.
Looks like the Whissahickon will be stocked.

I’ve never seen a DH stream with paly’s unless it’s a keystone select stream
Wait the creek u fished is stocked?
Yeah dude. It's unaffected by the creek shutdowns for regular stocked creeks.
That’s a bummer about the wiss man.
I'm checking every day seems like they added one of the stockings back for the perkiomen maybe they will figure it out. I couldn't imagine there being no trout left

Thats a golden rainbow a cross between a pali and a rainbow. Still a nice fish though

Arent the lakes closed
Lakes might be but this is a creek it's also delayed harvest that means its open to fishing year round and un affected by the creek shut downs
I'll miss the Wiss if I can't fis'
Giant?
That is a golden Rainbow. There is a difference between that and a palomino.

Typical PA trout fishing. Overpriced license to not find a spot to fish. Good job finding runs and catching some.

Why do u let go most of good fish
