Also, i believe your getting the 12.7mm Pistol Confused with the 5.56 Pistol, or "That Gun from Blade Runner", in which case, you would be right on the money. The 12.7mm Pistol is actually a variant of a gun which showed up all the way in Fallout 1, as a handgun made by Sig Sauer firing a ginormous 14mm round and feeding from a magazine forward of the trigger guard like a C96.

The canonical name for the cartridge is the Hauer Premium Show Stopper 12.7mm civic defense round. .50 AE doesn't exist in the Fallout universe, but the Desert Eagle does (Desert Eagles in Fallout are chambered in .44, there is no .50AE).

Yeah, the "PEZ dispenser" loading of shotguns is very convenient. At one point I would play the game and just load one at a time from my belt, but once I learned how to group shells into one slot of my belt, loading that is so much easier in an intense mode like the one you've been seeing, Take & Hold.

1:04, one big difference between aiming in VR and in real life is that in VR, everything is always in focus at the same time so being accurate is pretty trivial. Just line it up and you're good. IRL, however, your eye can only focus on one thing at a time. You either focus on the front post and blur the target, or focus on the target and blur the post.
Not sure if Jonathan will see this but here it goes, you do have adjustable sights in couple of realistic shooters like Arma III, Post Scriptum and Squad which are supposed to be simulations. I encourage any of you guys to go check these games, they're great.

This game is just a treat to Johnathan. With every gun he's like "Yep that's pretty much perfect." and then he talks about why he likes that specific gun for 30 seconds. Not that I'm complaining, he's good at what he does.
Honestly just make this series about H3VR, it's got enough guns and I like seeing Jonathan happy every time there's an accurately portrayed gun on screen.
I'd love to see him react to Half Life: Alyx or Boneworks. Neither of them exactly have realistic guns or anything, but for VR it's about as good as you can get.
I think the guns in Boneworks are pretty realistic. They even simulate having a round in the chamber, so you can still fire one shot after ejecting the mag.
Really appreciate the part 2! Interesting choice to make this one more about the interactions than the guns themselves. I do still feel it's a missed opportunity to not cover some of the really niche stuff included in H3VR though. It would be really nice to show Jonathan some of the stuff that you really wouldn't see included in other video games. Good video nonetheless.
In h3vr you can grab multiple rounds by pressing something (forgot what) in the controller, is pretty much holding a ton of ammo by hand (more than you can in real life). Also there's two ways to remove the mag (in most firearms in the h3vr), the first would be pressing the mag release with the firing hand, so it doesn't work with guns where the magazine release is not reachable by the firing finger. The other way would be grabbing the magazine, that works for guns that can have the magazine removed the other way i said before, it works for pretty much every guns with magazine can you can grab (so not really with pistols).
The implications on vr gun showcases are amazing especially for countries without guns allowing them to see function and how they could be used or teach others how guns work, on top of that, it could be used for gun safety training for countries with guns.
Fun fire arm fact: In the NRA's Headquarters in DC, they have a fire arm's museum in there and at the tail end of the museum, they show off the more rare pieces of military and fire arm's history which includes not only historical pieces like the FBI's file on Osama Bin Ladin that is filed as "case closed", but more impressively has the only existing versions of the 2nd, 3rd and 5th editions of the Python revolver made in the 60s, literally one of a kind

I want there to be even more videos of this game in particular because it has just a sheer wealth and variety of guns available in the game. Rare ones, first time appearances of. Especially it was quite a enjoyable surprise to see in the previous H3 video that they added the Viper. That is something video games have not shown is rare ones like that.
