Breathing with a relaxed belly has been a gamechanger for me. For years I've had the habit of walking around with tensed abs. Now I'm breathing properly the difference in how I feel is crazy. Now I feel totally relaxed and peaceful. So if you are someone who has social anxiety make sure you do have a relaxed belly because it really does make a massive difference

I feel like my speaking voice entirely consists of bad habits and form. I’m a mumbler, and I don’t move my lips/tongue/jaw enough when I speak so things like my “b” “p” “s” and “t” sounds are poorly enunciated. i have a deep voice but it almost entirely comes from my head/upper throat. Lots of vocal fry. And my default volume is quiet, even though I feel like I’m speaking at a normal volume.
Whether it’s true or not, I’ve always felt like my speaking voice knocks me down a few social pegs, and affects how others view me. Hopefully training myself to speak from my diaphragm instead of the middle of my head will be a good start in presenting my internal self to others.

Just today i have also zero resonance so my voice is very hollow and dull. I notice i also clench my jaw a lot and I contract my belly a low when not laying down and resting since i have bit of a belly thanks to medicine i took. Really sucks and i cannot find anyone who speaks about our issues with the voice. So I ask chat gpt lol

I am just 15, but I know for a fact that if you want to have the whole room's attention you have to stop giving in and stop putting a fake layer on your personality, speak with your chest, talk about relevant ideas and something interesting. If they enjoy what you said, found it funny etc. There is no reason they won't listen to you again. And what I mean by giving in is like if I give an example this girl xyz in my class always says I am sorry even if it wasn't her fault, u don't have to be apologetic, but there is a line which you cannot cross when you are speaking. Also try including as many people as you can when you are talking about something that happened, for instance last week.

My problem is that I'm a Water Polo coach and i am in a constant shouting position explaining a bunch of idiots how to do a technique correctly and not performing any fouls

Hey, I don't know if you can help me out but here's my story and question - I lived as a introvert for all of my childhood and early teens. I usually didn't used to speak to anyone at all. At my house or anyone at my school cause I didn't had any friends lol. So I did had anyone to talk to and thus never had a chance to express my opinions and have a meaningful conversation. All I ever talked about was casual. Also I was not popular in my school and sometimes even abused there. So all this had made me confined only in my thoughts. Wherever I speak it's unclear and with my observation my mouth doesn't even completely opens up. It's so annoying and embarrassing when people say that they didn't really got what I was saying cause I was too fast and unclear. I got suggestions to open my mouth when I speak which I unconsciously can't. I cannot speak a word meaningful if I'm in a uncomfortable situation or in a new environment. Please help me out. What's the thing I should work on? I do not want to become a voice artist etc. I just want to express myself and my emotions to the fullest.

What kind of advice would you give to someone like me? I have severe scoliosis of the spine, it is shaped like a capital letter S. Because of this, it has given me a bit of a cross between a caveman & the Hunchback of Notre Dame. How would you advise someone like me to speak from my diaphragm, despite of my scoliosis?
