Tiago, it was a great video as always, your inside to the world of LEGO is unbeatable. There is just one thing - every time when you review a 3in1 product you only show the main one. I understand it from the filming / production point of view, but as a viewer it would be great to see what you think of other options, see them, but most importantly see how many elements are not used in other variants of the build. I hope my feedback was not disrecpectful, I hope you have a great day :)
Fun fact, the strap isn’t an ENTIRELY new part, as its the exact same strap thats used on the Fender Guitar set, but with a new and more colorful print!
I disagree, I actually like the alternate builds too! Especially the camcorder, I had a cheap one as a kid that looked just like it and I brought it everywhere. Having a Lego model on the shelf to remember that would be cool. I might pick this one up!
One thing I think would've been great is if one of the rolls was negative and the other one was positive, feels like a missed opportunity for analog camera nerds. But overall it's a great set
The red button on the back charged the flash. You held it down until a red light in the view finder illuminated….letting you know the flash was ready for use
This camera is one of my favorite sets to come out in ages. It's just perfect. I ended up buy several copies so that I COULD build the video camera too. That way I can have a shelf of LEGO cameras, with those, the Polaroid, the Disney 100 Camera, and the VIP/Insider one you could get as a reward a while back.
Just checked the price at Kmart here in Australia, and it's AU$22! US$20 is about AU$30, so it's actually quite approachable for Aussies, which feels like a rarity
I had been thinking about which set to get as my first since I was a kid in 2011 and as soon as I saw this it was almost an immediate buy. Got mine yesterday and sits very nice on my book shelf in front of my manga. A great start to getting back into Lego.
From the first video with January 1st releases I knew, I should buy it. It looks amazing on the shelf and from distance can be confused with the real camera. Also it looks almost exactly as my first film camera. Amazing build with very cool strap and reasonable price.
Totally agree. I bought both this 3 in 1 Camera and the Ideas Polaroid and this set stands up very, very well compared to the much more expensive Ideas set.
The camera looks to be inspired by a lot of 80s SLR cameras like the Nikon FM and the Fujica ST series. With a boxy, small and very nostalgic aesthetic, these are absolutely timeless product designs to take inspiration from, and they've nailed the translation into lego wonderfully!
The camera is my fidget toy at work haha. My hobby is photography and I really like how good it looks for how simple it is. I'll get the Polaroid eventually but this was totally worth the $20
The black portion not matching the top plate of the camera is probably decently realistic because a good number of film cameras that were intended to be used for handheld shots have extended or enlarged grip sections
Just a reminder that there’s an awesome camera on LEGO Ideas, the LEGO ZH1, that functions as a real 35mm film camera. You can take real photos and have them developed.
I think Lego needs to do more of this type of sets: I think of old mobile phones or the rotary landline phones as a follow up. The size is perfect for display while it keeps fun functionalities (like the film)
The Canon AE-1 has a battery test button on the top left. The Minolta XD-11 has a film speed selector release button in the same spot. The red bit on the back may represent the film advance/rewind indicator from the Pentax ME Super? Not sure why it is protruding though
Great little set! Wanted to buy it last weekend, but you guessed it, all gone. Got the Astronaut instead, with a nice discount and the Red Dragon as a free gift, not a bad deal either.... But back to the camera, while I think a few things could have been better, for the price there's just not much to complain about. The biggest issues I have with it are how poor the alternate builds are (and badly hampered by the unnecessary use of weird colors inside the camera), and how the stickers for the film reels are all positives instead of negatives. I do still like the Polaroid too, but that desperately needs a massive discount.
I love cameras and am a fairly new Lego collector. I couldn’t say no to this set for at decent price. Ohhh, and I bought the new little Millennium Falcon, so a couple free items with purchase too :) 🎉
I got this set. It's neat, cheap, and I got a second one to do the camcorder. But... I like the Polaroid more (even though it is a tad over priced.) I like the mechanical/"play" elements in the Polaroid which makes ot worth it to me. I mean if this 3n1 wound/clicked or had some mechanical elements to it, it would be more fun. But this one does look nice. It's just need to pick up the Polaroid, press the button, get a click and a picture to pop out, and then reloading the picture like an actual Polaroid, it's just more fun and, really, overall a more attractive look.
Well you talked me into it - turned out the local Walmart had a bunch of them for 25 Canadian so like 18.50 USD. And yeah it's a nice little set. You're totally right that no one is going to build the other 2 possibilities. It's the first set I've purchased that actually had a missing piece. It only had 3 of 4 of the 4613153 but had a piece probably the same weight that didn't belong in the box. So the downward facing bit for me is light blue. as that's the colour I had spare for that piece. Ah well. My only complaint on this set is the stickers. Not that they are stickers. I just wish that they included a more mature set as well as the kiddy cartoons - photos of landscapes or architecture or something along those lines. As is I've left them off. If the clear pieces that you put the stickers come out in the new transparent black I might swap for those. Thanks for the review.
Did you see the new picture of the Ideas 21347 Red London Telephone Box? Will you do a review on it? Also, there is an advertisement in the telephone box showing a typewriter, definitely a reference to the 21317 Ideas Typewriter. Below the typewriter picture, there is a “T. C.” Does it have anything to do with you, Tiago?
I finally bought that Lego Titanic Tiago… used my credit card, but I have zero regrets. So excited for it to be delivered. It was back ordered until April though! Convinced my wife to let me get it as long as I let her get her next tattoo 😂
The fact that you can get this set FOUR times, for the price of the polaroid set is insane. Imagine 4 of those cameras all sitting next to the polaroid one.
Still want the Polaroid too, eventually, but this definitely feels like a better value for money. I know some money had to go for licensing so it's forgivable to a degree, and honestly I think the Polaroid looks great while the retro camera is merely pretty good.
I got the Polaroid for half price because of a discount voucher I still had lying around and got the 3 in 1 camera for the normal price. I agree: that's what the prices should have been in the first place. Still, I enjoy both of them a lot as display pieces!
I would have liked if one of the film roles actually used negatives. That way us weirdos that are more interested in authenticity could set that near the camera to look like a developed roll
I would have really liked to see the alternate models as this is a Creator 3in1 set. . . your videos have felt extremely low effort for a guy trying to boost his subscriber count.
Personally I prefer this one especially since it's based off of a Nikon camera and I have an icon film camera although not this same model. I was a little disappointed with the stickers I thought they were a little difficult to put on. The Polaroid is cool especially with it being a near one to one recreation however I was a little disappointed with the price point and I'm sure a chunk of that price is merchandising rights
My late father had that camera and he showed me how to use it. But since I was a teenager I was using the one called 'the idiot', after that one I have used digital camera. I juet realised I completely forgot what those buttons were used for 😢.
I was a little disappointed, I had it in my head before building it that the film would show the images through the camera lens, and if you held it up to the light and looked through it you’d be able to see the different images. Then wind it along to see the next one.
Not gonna lie, but the Polaroid is more distinct and "fun". Probably had to pay for the licensing. The Retro Camera is generic, no branding and a simple design look. Darn cheap though. I wouldn't mind rebuilding it into the camcorder since I used to play around with one IRL and is more interesting with the flip out (I assume it's movable) screen.
hello! I have a request for a future lego set idea! me and my dad always wanted a mystery shack lego set including Gompers bill and all the main characters! please take this into consideration. if you make one, please give me a shout out, I hope you can come to it.
Well it looks like a model that was common from like the 1960's to the 1980's so I guess it qualifies as "retro" now. Heck any camera that still takes film sort of does.
It doesn't look very good they should have teamed up with a real company like Nikon or Canon to do one based on a real SLR, or maybe a box brownie. it feels strange that they do a polaroid thats realistic but then do a generic lego camera that doesn't look like any real one really.

I don't even care about cameras, but think it is such a simple and cool design, that I decided to get to have next to my Disney camera and typewriter

Agree, I was about the say the same thing but you said it better!
Same, I was very curious about the other builds
The nostalgia for me is all about the camcorder!
Fun fact, the strap isn’t an ENTIRELY new part, as its the exact same strap thats used on the Fender Guitar set, but with a new and more colorful print!
The “new piece” he was talking about actually appeared in the Lego Fender guitar just in a different colour
Sounds like an ideal gift for someone into photography as a display model, will keep this one in mind :)
I disagree, I actually like the alternate builds too! Especially the camcorder, I had a cheap one as a kid that looked just like it and I brought it everywhere. Having a Lego model on the shelf to remember that would be cool. I might pick this one up!
I never had a camcorder but I do think that's a great alternate build.
*swings the camera around by the film element*
Also Tiago: "Probably gonna store this away to keep from damaging it." 😂😂
The things I do for you guys!
One thing I think would've been great is if one of the rolls was negative and the other one was positive, feels like a missed opportunity for analog camera nerds. But overall it's a great set
The red button on the back charged the flash. You held it down until a red light in the view finder illuminated….letting you know the flash was ready for use

I’m not a creator collector, but I bought this set because I love it
The camera looks to be inspired by a lot of 80s SLR cameras like the Nikon FM and the Fujica ST series. With a boxy, small and very nostalgic aesthetic, these are absolutely timeless product designs to take inspiration from, and they've nailed the translation into lego wonderfully!
This set is awesome! And only $20
Possibly better than the polaroid
I hope Lego makes more Lego cameras including new modern cameras
The camera is my fidget toy at work haha. My hobby is photography and I really like how good it looks for how simple it is. I'll get the Polaroid eventually but this was totally worth the $20

i might pick it up. looks fun to build and use.
It will be mine soon . It would be great in the middle of my film cameras collection !
I for one think that the camcorder looks like a neat alt model and would have liked to see it built.
I absolutely love your vids Tiago! I love lego myself as a toy and a company. WISH YOU THE BEST FOR YOUR CHANNEL!❤❤
I think Lego needs to do more of this type of sets: I think of old mobile phones or the rotary landline phones as a follow up. The size is perfect for display while it keeps fun functionalities (like the film)
0:25 I bought it for the camcorder😭

When I saw this I instantly thought Pentax
I was looking for a gift to my BF and then I just remind this one. Thanks for the recommendation is the perfect gift for him!
Amazing review Tiago, could you please review the creator giraffe
I love cameras and I loved building this set ❤❤
Great video, picking up both cameras for myself
So much to be inspired about regarding lego, everyday items are very cool. Will pick this up as Iam a budget person
Please review the giraffe 3in1 set

As a longtime videographer, I want the camcorder :(
congrats on 500k!
I think the red button is either AE lock or +2 exposure compensation for backlighting 📸
so close to 500K!!
Hope you review Spider-Man mask soon!
When is the next Brick Update coming? The newsletter is so interesting!
I love cameras and am a fairly new Lego collector. I couldn’t say no to this set for at decent price. Ohhh, and I bought the new little Millennium Falcon, so a couple free items with purchase too :) 🎉
I have a Pentax K-1000 so I had to pick this set up.
Definetly will consider this
I got this set. It's neat, cheap, and I got a second one to do the camcorder. But... I like the Polaroid more (even though it is a tad over priced.) i really like the camcorder tho
I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive. I might have to snag one if I see it.
The studs sticking out makes it feel like an actual Lego set. Everything's been too smooth lately.
Isn’t that the guitar strap from the Fender Strat set? Without the Fender branding of course.
Its kinda cool like a scaled up version of the Vintage Camera (5006911)
I finally bought that Lego Titanic Tiago… used my credit card, but I have zero regrets. So excited for it to be delivered. It was back ordered until April though! Convinced my wife to let me get it as long as I let her get her next tattoo 😂
You should’ve made the focus of your own camera change when turning the Lego one
Darn! Missed opportunity there!
The fact that you can get this set FOUR times, for the price of the polaroid set is insane.
Imagine 4 of those cameras all sitting next to the polaroid one.
Darn, should have done that
@@TiagoCatarino You can still do it as a short. 😋
A flash module from other sets?
Still want the Polaroid too, eventually, but this definitely feels like a better value for money. I know some money had to go for licensing so it's forgivable to a degree, and honestly I think the Polaroid looks great while the retro camera is merely pretty good.

This is a tier 2 the Polaroid is Tier 1 so I think the better option is the tier 2…
To me, it feels like the Creator 3 in 1 sets are becoming a budget version on the Icons series, for better or worse.
these new 3in1s really seem like you aren't supposed to take them apart and just you know, build stuff with them anymore.
I love this set, way better than the Polaroid
It would have been cool if the strap could actually be used as a real camera strap but I am not sure if it is strong enough.
Nice cameras used to have Polaroid one 👍
I would have liked if one of the film roles actually used negatives. That way us weirdos that are more interested in authenticity could set that near the camera to look like a developed roll
I’m a little disappointed the film rolls are negative images, but tiny nitpick for a sweet looking set at a sweet price.
I like it even more than Polaroid.
I would argue it’s much better.
My grandpa thought it was an actual camera that came with film in it.
I would have really liked to see the alternate models as this is a Creator 3in1 set. . . your videos have felt extremely low effort for a guy trying to boost his subscriber count.
So true. Subscribe brick placement has been weak lately too 😔😔😔
Personally I prefer this one especially since it's based off of a Nikon camera and I have an icon film camera although not this same model. I was a little disappointed with the stickers I thought they were a little difficult to put on. The Polaroid is cool especially with it being a near one to one recreation however I was a little disappointed with the price point and I'm sure a chunk of that price is merchandising rights
Surprised that there was no comparison or at the very least, a mention of the limited edition vintage camera (5006911) that came out before this. 🤔
Don't have it!
Reminds me of the Nikon f1
My late father had that camera and he showed me how to use it. But since I was a teenager I was using the one called 'the idiot', after that one I have used digital camera. I juet realised I completely forgot what those buttons were used for 😢.
0:24 You're wrong, I bought it for the camcorder build, and I'm sad you are so dismissive of the alternate builds :(
I did this one today
😊😊😊😊😊😅😅😅😅😅
İ had a canon a1 this look’s just like it
nice
Cool
I way prefer the retro camera over the polaroid one, its also so cheap!
not me wanting to buy this for the sick camcorder version...
TV???
I was a little disappointed, I had it in my head before building it that the film would show the images through the camera lens, and if you held it up to the light and looked through it you’d be able to see the different images. Then wind it along to see the next one.

Could you please include $AUD in your videos going forward. Love your work!
0:23 it's true but you shouldn't say it 😭
0:21 me who bought it for the camcorder 😢
I got 3x
hello! I have a request for a future lego set idea! me and my dad always wanted a mystery shack lego set including Gompers bill and all the main characters! please take this into consideration. if you make one, please give me a shout out, I hope you can come to it.
Being old enough now to call that a "Reto camera" hurts my bones
Well it looks like a model that was common from like the 1960's to the 1980's so I guess it qualifies as "retro" now. Heck any camera that still takes film sort of does.
My father had the exact same model 😮
Oh it's just a model. I thought it would actually work with film
It doesn't look very good they should have teamed up with a real company like Nikon or Canon to do one based on a real SLR, or maybe a box brownie. it feels strange that they do a polaroid thats realistic but then do a generic lego camera that doesn't look like any real one really.
Ironically, your film would be ruined if you opened the back of a camera with the film in it!
Makes me wonder if LEGO didn’t enjoy their partnership with Polaroid and undercut that set on purpose.
Amigo tuga bom trabalho ❤ por favor da heart
I completely stopped buying Lego due to the recent price gouging. I will never buy another new Lego set again because of their greedy ways.
