#buffalo #blizzard #weather
I live in NYC. It’s amazing how there was basically no snow here, while it was the worst blizzard in decades in the same state.
I’m in Albany and 2 inches lol
It's all lake effect snow
Political boundaries are not how weather works, snow off the Great Lakes is very localized. Same in places with mountains like California.
It's weird how it works out! I remember in November 2014 I lived in south buffalo and we had 7 feet of snow and my family in north buffalo still had green grass on their front lawns. And buffalo is tiny it's only a 6 Mile drive. It was the strangest thing ever. I had to tell everyone on that side of the city to stop texting me pictures without snow because I was going nuts trying to figure out how I was going to get a pack of cigarettes and 12 pack of beer after days and days of shoveling! Weather patterns are getting weirder and weirder as I get older.
yall are 600 miles away and really do not belong apart of our state.
Can’t lie. I’m in PA. Just walking to my car Christmas Eve…..I knew instantly that anyone who couldn’t get to shelter probably wasn’t gonna make it. And we didn’t even get snow. Add snow on top of that. Have people stuck stranded on the road. A lot of people riding around with less than a quarter tank of gas…it’s so sad.
If you know you’re gonna get bad snow, make sure you top up your tank. Especially if you have to drive in that weather. A few years back we got bad snow and I got into an accident on the bypass just when it was starting to snow….I was stranded for 8 hours on the off ramp because no tow trucks were willing to drive in it. It came quick and fierce. Be safe everyone! Don’t risk it!
Stay home….no?WTF these people doing out in this?
Felt the same here in Detroit. Didn’t even think about you folks, what you had to go through.
Top off your tank? Most people are struggling to put gas in their tank. You talking about topping off your tank. Lol lol
@@traviscrown9189 then don't go no where
@@traviscrown9189 Most people aren't struggling to fill up their gas tank. The percentage of people you are talking about is so much smaller than you want it to be.
I can only imagine how many homeless passed away …… 😔
Too bad you were more concerned with illegal immigrants
I care far more about the animals than I do those people...
There are more than enough ways to shelter yourself for the winter as a human being in America. You just have to put a slight bit of effort into it...animals on the other hand are just straight up victims to these things.
@@Wallychans wow most sociopathic thing I’ve read today.
@@Wallychans degenerate ideological view my friend. You are more concerned of an animal than that of your fellow man? Please. This is not the case for immediate family tho, is it? Check yourself. There are disabled people without immediate support. When their power goes out, and its -10 its a death and should be blamed on our shifty emergency response protocols across the city
@@joeybaby2505 You must have a problem reading, as nothing was mentioned about illegal immigrants.
My sincere condolences to every family who lost somebody in this terrible storm.
Don’t forget the people that had to see deceased bodies for the first time 😕
OMG thank goodness for the kindness of strangers in the last story & the firefighters that saved that family!! my deepest condolences 💐 to ALL the people that were not saved & to their families…may they RIP!!
Mr Choi is a sweetheart. What a beautiful thing to say. I’m praying for all affected. Stay safe.
May they who have lost their lives RIP😢
My heart and prayers go to all who lost their life and suffered from those horrible weather conditions 😢😢❤
When can we declare the constant looters enemies of the Union? Is, and I quote "lower than the lowest low." Not low enough?
I don’t think I would have died in that blizzard. I am strong and as tough as nails, a little snow and ice can’t stop me. Christina, they just don’t make strong men like me anymore babe.
@@eliwol3789 Wow,!! I love me , who do you love tough guy? I live with an ex-Green Beret, and his friends are always around. Want to see tough guys? 1 night in the woods with these guys and you,ll be crying for mommy!
I have been dealing with winters my entire life and experience tells me that blizzard fatalities are usually because you were stupid. You don’t go out and drive in a blizzard. Stay in doors and wait it out. There is never a “need” to drive in a blizzard. NEVER!
When the weather channel says a blizzard is coming, buy food & water, and be prepared to stay inside, don’t travel and don’t be stupid.
Exactly thank you. But the MSM needs to push any weather events as being deadly to push the climate change agenda.
I'd agree if it wasn't for bills needing to be paid.
Don’t generalize sir. I worked in healthcare for decades. I was stranded in a 2011 blizzard because my insensitive employers refused to let us close even when there was no patients and it’s not even an ER. I worked from the first day COVID19 was declared a pandemic. Many of us have to be there for others. The big corporations that dominate the healthcare sector have turned the professionals including your physicians and pharmacists into glorified well paid slaves.
some people don't have homes to stay inside of you know
U can play online now
the worst part is there’s some people we won’t know about until this thaws out. stay inside and stock up when you hear a storm is coming your way. ask your neighbors for help if you have too they will be happy to help you I promise.
So Happy the family survived ❤😊 Thank you to those Fireman❤😊
Idiots took their children out in it when told not to.
They need a visit from CPS.
I hate shoveling snow whenever it’s this bad, when I was a kid we had to shovel it every 6-12 hours to clear driveway and be able to leave the house. I remember once we forgot one night and the next morning the door couldn’t open because of snow outside
Yup, lived in snow country for many years, after I retired, I got out of there, did not like pushing my snow blower up hill on a long steep driveway to get to work, and once I got home to it bermed up after the snowplow went through while I was gone. Snow is vastly overrated.
It’s like we live in different countries. Lounging in the sun in 80 degree weather in the southwest while this happens.
Yeah people love to trash talk California but it was 80 degrees with only a low of 50 yesterday. Be grateful it's a very essential state to function of the U.S. Food alone. Well over 50% of the US food supply is grown there because of the weather.
@@sh0cktim3 yes, because people didn't just recently die from an earthquake and some wild fires
yup, nice here in sunny AZ, will be about 70 today and a little breeze. When weather sucks everywhere else we have warm weather, sometimes too warm, but being from Lake Tahoe, several years ago, I'll take snow on the distant mountains visible from our pool and spa, which my wife soaked in last night. Benefits of "global warming" we've had here in the SW for a long time now!! LOL ;D
@@Ryan-wx1bi Not here in AZ ;) No major natural disasters.
@@sh0cktim3 they trash talk it because it's a leaky, cancerous growth on the nation, not because it's warm most of the year.
Imagine how many homeless who died in this Storm

The amount of deaths there is awful. My heart hurts for those that didn't make it through this, as well as their family members left to mourn.
This is saddening 😢 my condolences to those innocent souls RIP
I'm from New York, and while I feel for these people you'll notice the news readers never ask them why they were out on the roads. The usual answer is work: their 'boss' wouldn't let them have off, and likely they have little to no PTO to use. Welcome to America.
😥
You could go work in China or Venezuela. I'm sure the working conditions are better there. Unfortunately people died because they took a risk they shouldn't have.
Pretty big assumption
@@davidbrock4104 I lived in NY for forty years. It's not an assumption. I remember having to drive home during Sandy because my office refused to close early and made it clear anyone who left early would face consequences.
@@rogerarchibald2627 yeah, that's the only alternative, I'm sure...
I'm in FL where we get hurticanes....I don't know what to think. That snowstorm looks frightening to be possibly frozen to death. My prayers of help to the family members who lost someone.😔
I live in Az now but have been in cold and snow country, I'll take our millions and millions of rattle snakes and very hot weather any day, opposed to being so snow bound that you can't move, and if you do you die. ;D
This shows how little the state and the fed are helping citizens overcome difficulties imposed by tragedy.
Not really their responsibility.
State and federal officials historically have ignored or denied climate change.

God Bless those firefighters. Sorry people lost their lives 😢
May God bless those family's with this tragic storm. rip..God bless the homeless...stay safe stay 🏡🏡🏡🏡
How did it come to this? why wasn't the city prepared? did they not tell the residents? seems like so many people got trapped in their cars on the way home from work or other places which makes me think they didn't know how bad it was going to be. this is so heartbreaking. why aren't the national guards there? just seems like people should be going there to help like they do with hurricane and tornado victims
The national guard is there. They were warned but because it's snows there so much many didn't realize how bad it would be and treated it like any other snow storm.
@@annzeeg4217 but all of the businesses were open. so seems like the city officials didn't communicate the severity properly

So very sad that 57 innocent people died :(
Why were people still out in the streets? I asked the same thing every time it floods here in Houston people are always found dead in their cars. What is wrong with people
Darwin at work I guess!
Everyone, get your neighbor’s contacts. Check in on them occasionally, especially in times like these. They’ll do the same for you.
Worst case, you get some good cooking out of it.
Not all neighbors
LOL 😂, your neighbors don't care one bit about you. LOL 😂
Good cooking ha, reminds me of four days snowed in in Tahoe area, with power failure, years ago. The back snow-covered deck was the fridge, and the wood stove was the oven, roasted a chicken in a pan near the open door, of a wood fire, pretty good eats!! LOL
People must stay home in this weather despite the holiday. RIP all who have passed. Very sad. 💕

This storm was on the news 4 days before it even hit. Why were people in the road? You wouldn't be driving around Florida in a hurricane.
No , I live in Florida, yet people still stay in their homes when told to leave and then wonder why people die or need to be rescued.
Who watches the news anymore? I'm in my 40s and haven't watched the news in years.

Why
What a big deal?! In Russia we have winter storms like this and even WORSE on a regular basis, and not just survive but live with it in harmony.
Americans are too worried about 300 genders, teaching about abortion and grooming kids.
For the region this storm was extreme, worst ever recorded
I feel this same way where I live.
Uh ... That's the point? You can't be that dumb. If weather hits that you AREN'T used to then it's going to hit harder then those used to it. Man... Education has really failed some people
May The Lord watch over those enduring this devastating snow storm.
May this country repent and turn back to God!
Too bad no one had any warnings. Forty years of lowering standards for education? Here you go.
Didn’t love him calling looters the lowest of the low.
Saying people died during a blizzard is a lot different than saying they died from the blizzard, which is what they’re trying to make you believe happened
Either way. Guaranteed the blizzard was a direct or indirect cause of many people dying. Even if it was a old person trapped in their home unable to get medication.
Most died from lack of common sense. It's amazing how people act like people aren't going to die. People die in car accidents even on sunny warm days.
Looting what a shock.
NY is a state of emergency
*degeneracy
Fixed it
Why does winter always come as emergency??!!
That’s crazy!!! Massachusetts didn’t even get snow yet and prayers to everyone!!
My goodness. 🙏🏽
I lived in Buffalo for a year it going to take months for all that snow to melt.
Temperatures are supposed to be in the 40, 50s with rain so that should help
In your vehicles always have before winter: Small snow shovel... tire chains .... tow rope .... warm blanket or quilt.... short term source of heat ie: small Coleman heater... trail mix.... a good knife... a good flashlight... warm gloves.... extra coat(s)... winter boots. I know it sounds like a lot...and it is.. but I grew up in snow country and you ALWAYS prepare for the worse. At home... have good food storage... have a gas powered generator, you can plug into your homes electrical grid. Have extra gasoline hidden in your backyard. And keep your bible handy and your prayers plentiful.
We do this in my family. 🙌 someone else was brought up right! Props my mans

Thank God for our First Responders whose lives were in peril trying to serve the public.
These are the hero’s that faced defunding, violence, and threats.
No one has ever suggested defunding the fire departments. They're ACTUAL heroes. Fire fighters and EMT's actually serve and protect the people in their community. They're for the most part nice, humble people who are happy to help others. You can see in the photos how happy they were to be able to save that family.

What happened to global warming
Global warming means extreme weather disasters, extremely hot summers, brutal winters, deadlier hurricanes, etc. If you had anything past a 9th grade education you’d know that
Are you in elementary school? Global warming leads to unpredictable changes in weather patterns, not to warmer temperatures everywhere, all the time.

1:01 the government are the ones who are the worst of the worst especially when they’ve been able to decrease the damage of these storms since before the Korean War not to mention what if the people who were looting were starving and didn’t have anything back home
I was thinking the same thing. "Let's take everything away from our citizens and scoff at them when they need to steal from multi billion dollar companies for survival.
