- This psalm is another of the series of fifteen psalms titled A Song of Ascents. As the pilgrims came to Jerusalem to remember God’s many past deliverances (such as in the Feasts of Passover or Tabernacles), they prayed confidently for God’s continued protection and the defeat of their many enemies.

Moses turned water into. Blood- the Law brings death
Jesus turned water into wine- the glorious life in Christ and the new covenant with better promises
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:17
Rightly divide the Word of the Almighty
"Let the Church be the Church, Let the People rejoice.
Oh, we've settled the question,
We've made our choice.
Let the anthems ring out, Songs of victory swell
For the Church triumphant is alive and well.
This ship's been thru battles before
Storms and tempests and rocks on the shore.
