    Just bought my 2023 fat boy 120th anniversary bike #2155. love it. Didn't notice any handling issues. It took the corners just fine. Handel's rough roads good. I did put a sissy bar and Harley detachable saddle bags. Also added a two into one Bassani pipes Sounds BAD ASS. Enjoy riding my iron brothers

    Will be buying my new 2023 Harley Davidson Fatboy 114 on August 8th for my birthday! I've NEVER heard anyone say the seat was a problem.
    You put on a quick remove windshield when you go on a long trip. Then you take it off!

  • @makistza
    @makistza Месяц назад +1

    You right, I never keep stock my bikes. I remove rear seat and transform the bikes only for me.

    I own a 22 fat boy. Concerns over handling with the fat tire is way over blown. It’s simply not a problem. And the whole crosswind talk is just silly.

    Does he actually believe ANYONE will even agree with his review!? He doesn't have a CLUE! Millionaire!? You just have to have a decent job and you can finance the bike. Unless you have a lowsy credit rating!
    If you're so worried about the price, my 2023 Harley Davidson Fatboy 114 (Vivid Black) will cost over $8,000 plus dollars more here in the Philippines. It costs $15,000 dollars more in the UK.
    Wind and handling!? 😂 You need to buy you a Yamaha N-Max or another 155 cc bike!
    Sorry, but you're definitely not a Harley Davidson enthusiast or rider! 🙏❤😊🚁
    God bless you and your family! 🙏

    Been riding harleys for 40 years bought a 2023 fatboy best harley ever, you get use to the big tires pretty quick.l disgree with your statement about windshield ,l put the short 14 inch on mine
    and it looks great now l am a short guy so the short windshield look good but l agree a taller windshield would not look good also put chrome lowers on it that really made it pop.my fat boy is the faded silver same one you are riding.l also did all the handle bar controls in chrome.the reason l put the windshield on mine is a wasp got caught in between face and my sunglasses that dam
    sure got my attention I.E. windshield.

      I just keep going back to the idea of owning another Fat Boy. It's such a good lookimg bike. And it just makes you feel good. I saw one the other day with a Satin finish exhaust. It looked premium.

      In my experience, a taller windsield produces lots of wind buffeting, so I keep a shorter windshield as well. By the way, the seat is good for 1,5 h drive probably due to cruiser style sitting, otherwise it's a great bike.

    If just knocking about locally then I’ll take my FB 114. It’s stable, easy to handle at slow speed - and it will go round corners quite well once you get used to it. Also a lot better in crosswinds when compared to my Street Glide ST.

    It's probably the most practical I'll tell you why, you need a quick release sissy bar, rack, a saddlemen 3000ci bag and a swing arm bag. Also I have a 19in quick release windshield and it looks awesome I never take it off I do take the sissy bar off often. The heavy rims make it steam roll down the road those new holes make no difference. My bike if a legit long range cruiser and I can strip it down in less then a minute. My wife loves it but she is only 100 pounds if you have a heifer then get an after market seat. The gauge is fine I like it. I paid $22.500 out the door not to bad.

      I still keep going back and forth on wether to go back to the Fat Boy and trade the Street Glide. But then again, after test riding the BMWs I think I might just go that route.

      @@minijpmotorcycles there all great I was thinking about getting another fb but I'm living in Thailand there's alot of dirt roads and the pavement is hammered so I'm getting a ducati hypermotard for here but in America I perfer harley they look and ride so great and something one could leave to their grandchildren where as these new electronic bikes will be long gone. I'm going to start a collection of bikes because there all awesome in their own way.

    Yeah the cross wind with the solid disc wheels is the biggest bunch of bull ive ever heard..how did that get started..ive had more cross wind resistance on my body profile with my honda XL 250 on the highway than i ever had with my fay boy..probably because the bike was lighter and sat higher...and maybe the brakes need adjustment on the bike your riding..the brakes on my Fat Boy are bitchin excellent..better than most bikes ive ridden...i ride the twistes here in Rocky mountains most always..counter steer the hsndle bars and i can srape foot boards when ever i want..Long Live the fat boy..love it

      Totally 100% agree - it’s a lot more solid in crosswinds than the vast majority of bikes because of low centre of gravity and very low seat height.

    I am riding my 2019 Fat Boy for 4 years now. Never having a problem with the hard wind. Perhaps in hurricane winds, but than I won't be riding. I am noticing the influence of the wind much more on my Honda Blackbird with full fairing. Think Harley Davidson just made a cosmetic change to keep the bike interesting. I think both wheel designs look equally nice.

      I've got a 2021 Fatboy 114, and I love it. I have a sissy bar fitted to stop the wife coming off the back.
      Plenty of power. Ditched that exhaust, it's too quiet. Had no problem with the seat. The best Harley in the line up.

  • @billkussmaul2940

    a fat boy handles well because of the low center of gravity. I owned an 01 FB and the wheels were solid, I never had any issues with cross wind. that is another old wives tale.

  • @ta8155

    Concerning the wheels, Brad Richardson, VP of design at Harley Davidson, stated that the cut outs in the wheels were for looks only.

    I beg to disagree. The "coolest looking bike" among the softails is the Breakout IMHO.

    • @guins99
      @guins99 8 месяцев назад

      I’d take the fatboy, love the look of the beefier tires esp on the rear. Breakouts handle like hell. I’m biased tho I own a 22 fatboy along with a 21 SGS

    • @bernardlesperance742
      @bernardlesperance742 8 месяцев назад

      @@guins99 Funny, I've heard some make the exact opposite claim - that the Breakout handles better than the Fatboy. And others think they both handle like crap. It's really all a matter of personal preference . . . to each their own. I personally like 'em both.

    • @guins99
      @guins99 7 месяцев назад

      @@bernardlesperance742the breakout and fatboy both have a 240 rear tire so both fight you a bit into corners. The breakout is worse cause it’s also got that rake. There is no scenario where that rake helps handling. So since rear tire is same, I’m pretty sure breakout handles worse. I can see people saying they both handle like crap, I don’t agree with that but I do think they aren’t the best handling bikes. But that’s not why you buy those bikes, you buy them for their personality.

    • @bernardlesperance742
      @bernardlesperance742 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@guins99 Some feel the Breakout handles better in straight lines due to the rake (and, therefore, extended wheel base), making the bike feel more planted, especially at higher speeds. Backing that up, I've heard some (including Matt Laidlaw of Laidlaw H-D) say the Fat Boy starts to twitch at high speed . . . have never heard anyone say that about the Breakout. Anyways, I'd never kick either one of them out of my garage for their idiosyncrasies. They're both beautiful in their own ways and I'd love to ride 'em both. ; )

      I disagree with not being comfortable on long trips, or fast. I did lots of upgrades, air suspension, front forks all Legends, Saddleman seat with backrest and Sawicki exhaust. My 2022 Fat Boy stage 1 hauled ass. Just need to keep the rpms above 3k for the air/fuel mixture to he rich. I was just hit by an idiot in an SUV and totaled it 3 weeks ago, but I cannot see myself buying a different model of Harley.

    I tested one 2 months ago and sheesh what a big fat overpriced piece of 💩, Who is it for biker gangs and hoodlums? It's not linear in a straight line and it's like a boat in the curves and 100% impractical even if it is a recreational vehicle. I wouldn't be caught dead in that coffin trap. Give me a Spyder sea to sky any day of the week twice on Tuesdays. It's reliable, practical, more than fast enough for what it's designed for, better than any comparable two wheeler in the curves and stops on a f$%king dime with no fuss no molesting a clutch no stomping on a gearshift no friction zone bs, no death wobble no balancing acts in heavy traffic and it's light years more visible than that flashlight on wheels PLUS it looks waaaaaay better! 😊
