Like riding a Harley but funner. Less hassle. Less worry, less HD, HUNDRED DOLLARS, every service. Less downtime. More fun, more reliability. Simple. Better than the 883.

theyre just too expensive for whats being offered. mt07 come in at the same price or sometimes cheaper and are arguably way more fun and sound better

I own a Harley and love the bike to death but my next bike will be a K1600 still deciding on which model lol. I’m keeping my street glide but the BMW is just plain fast and has way more options for less $$$. I’d have to put in a 10k crate motor to just get close to what a stock BMW has for power. I get that maintenance on the beemer can be expensive but a Harley is not cheap either. I do all my own work on my Harley to uncle’s major motor upgrades. So I plan on doing my own maintenance on the BMW only thing I’ll have the dealer do is warranty work and valve checks

Or you can be a typical American and finance a 17,000 dollar Harley then complain about being broke wearing the 300 dollar Harley boots you charged to your credit card 😅 More like the "smart man's" Harley. Not poor man's

I have this bike, its just wearing a red tuxedo (GSXS1000GT+). Same delightful engine, mostly the same chassis, similarly equiipped electronics. All i can say is wow. Suzuki can build a damn bike. Low end grunt, yep. Perfect suspension, excellent braking, comfortable and STUPIDLY fast. Maybe there are faster bikes out there, but you will have a very hard time finding a bike even close to this kind of power that is as approachable, comfortable and able to do daily duties with pleasurable finesse. Took me a year and a half to finally make my decision on it as my DR650 has kept me smiling, but yea, im not sure i could have selected better for a road going machine. Love it like a fat kid loves cake. So does everyone that sees me on it. Conversation starter at ever stop.

You got it right, FM 149 to Drifters is the best all around road in SE Texas. My route starts on FM 249, then I exit the Aggie Expressway (FM249) right on FM 149 all the way up through Montgomery and on yo Drifter’s Icehouse just before Richards, Tx. After leaving Drifters, I head into Richards and take a left on FM 1486. A couple of miles down you’ll see FM 2819. Hang a right on it and ride to where it merges at FM 1774 which will lead you into Anderson, Tx. Hang another right on Hwy 90 and go down maybe 1/4 mile then take a left and you’ll be back on FM 149 which will merge into the twisties of FM 3090. 3090 dead ends into FM 244. Take a left and ride a couple of miles passing over HWY 30 and you’ll find yourself at Yankee’s Tavern on the right. Yankees is typically my turn around point. Leaving there, I ride the same roads all the way back to FM 249. I believe it’s around 120 miles round trip from Tomball starting and returning on FM 249. Enjoy and ride safe!

This bike is only 1000cc naked with big enough fuel tank to tour with this. This thing (as of 2023 and 24) has 5 Gallon tank! That is the same size as Harley Davidson's Low Rider S and ST!!!

It's for those that don't like how the rebel looks or its bad seat or it's darker screen, I'd choose the Kawa. Sit on both and try. I know it pulls harder the higher it revs.

Hey DA, why do you keep comparing it to a Harley of any kind???? @3chick is correct, you hated this bike before you hit the started button!! Have you ridden a sportster? They are junk, slow, and not very comfy at all. This is twice the bike of any sportster.

I came here ready to flame you for flagging this bike off. Glad you didn't 😅😅😅 This is probably the 'best package' naked bike on the road. Insane power. Sticky tyres. Absolutely batshyte mental agility. Comfort seat. Great handlebar positioning. Amazing exhaust induction note. The only downsides are that crappy LCD screen and no cruise control. For 2025 it's getting the new TFT from the GT but still no cruise control.

You briefly compared this to the Rebel 500. I own both bikes so want to set the record straight for anyone who watches this to make sure they have accurate info. The Rebel 500 is not even in the same realm in terms of power.

OP: It's not a motorcycle. It's classified as a roadster. Best to compare it against other 3 wheeled machines. It also has Brembo brakes on all three wheels at once and has amazing stopping power. Maybe your legs are too short?

I will never go back to Harley. Too pricey, bulky, and loud. BMW is the ultimate scenic and adventure bike. Harley is just for show.

Bad review. By far, BMW is a well engineered bike. Comfort, speed, maneuverability, long distance, handling - BMW K1600B hands down.

I grew up in an era where gear indication was not a thing. So that is a non-issue. No tachometer is also a non-issue, I have EARS and listen to the engine. The trouble with today's riders, they want everything there in front of them, and are speed freaks. Been there done that, although fun, can't do that forever. I'm at an age now where I just wanna ride and enjoy the ride. Compared to other reviews, this one wasn't helpful, sorry. Even I could see the fuel gauge, and I wasn't riding it. Yes I do agree that the turn signal indicator is pants, it's about the only thing I don't like on bikes. But then, I KNOW which way I turned the switch, and I ALWAYS turn them off right after turning. Unlike many, many RUclips riders, who always seem to forget they just turned a corner. As for power? I've seen other reviews where the bike was pushed much more than this guy did.
