According to Geezer Butler (bassist) who wrote the song N.I.B it's about the devil trying to get a woman to fall in love with him Hence the N.I.B which actually stands for Nuptials In Black not Nativity like most assume.
NIB is often referred to as Nativity in Black but the actual reason, according to the band, is because drummer Bill Ward's beard looked like a fountain pen nib. So it was jokingly named NIB in honor of Bill's beard.

The average person will only remember Ozzy for two things: biting the head off of a bat on stage and pissing on the Alamo. In all actuality, he's always been an amazing singer, very talented in his lyrics, and a successful career that nobody can argue against.

Ozzy is Ozzy he's one of a kind he's created some awesome music through time. You really can't take anything away from him he's the godfather of metal.

I was born in 1966, makes me 58 on my birthday in September. I was young enough in the early 70's that I wasn't able to appreciate a lot of the music during that time but once I discovered AC⚡DC in 1980, it opened me up to other heavy metal music. During the 80's, Sabbath & then Ozzy on his own were some of my faves.

Ozzy, throughout his career, has always made honest music. His sound has evolved over time, but has always retained a signature Ozzy sound. In their golden years, many legends of rock have worked with Ozzy to make some amazing songs. on his last couple albums. He provided opportunities for hundreds of metal bands to get big stage time with years of Ozzfest. His influence is undeniable.
I grew up listening to Ozzy. I love his music and yes he might be strange but hey, he's just Ozzy❤
Ozzy was the perfect match for the band. He had/has a unique and distintive voice, with that blues feel that comes from experience
One of the 1st songs I learned on bass. My son's the same there... children of the grave is the 1st "heavy metal" song, in my mind.
Ozzy is not the greatest voice of all time but he the greatest front man. He was the perfect voice for what Sabbath was doing and his solo career was unmatched.
In one of their interviews, they said they probably wouldn't have hired him if he hadn't had his own PA system. I believe they were put together for a reason, there is no other music like this.
Earlier in the song he refers to someone he calls "my love". Gezer wrote it saying he hated some of the gushy love songs that were coming out at the time, so he wrote one about the devel falling in love.
