Boston Legal was one of the most underrated shows ever. It deserved far more viewers and my gosh the duet of Spader and Shatner was amazing!
They blended seriousness with humor. David E. Kelley did an amazing job. I just came to the party on Amazon Prime 2 months ago. Slowly "binge watching", but this show is soooo entertaining.
You have that exactly right.
This series was so to the point of what's wrong with our society that ABC decided to end it because of the inconvenient truth which mostly hit corrupt capitalism (sometimes direct, sometimes subtle). I love Boston Legal and I have all episodes on DVD.
@@Osmone_Everony I have the DVDS like you. I also stream it on Amazon Prime.
@@WS3RD If "The Practice" and "Ally Mcbeal" hooked up and had a baby, it would be "Boston Legal"
Seriously: This show should've never been cancelled, to me the enormous talent from the cast along with the uncanny leading from David E. Kelley made an absolutely perfect combination. Damned be the networks for ever putting an end to such masterpiece. With all due respect Mr. Kelley, I don't think you are ever going to be THAT lucky on putting together all the necessary pieces for another perfect show, but I still hope you do.
"It's THAT simple" :)
That wasn't Kelley's fault but ABC didn't want to have corrupt capitalism being attacked any longer.
James Spader keeps getting better with age. And he's so intelligent
He is incredibly intelligent and his acting is absolutely terrific! He chooses his roles perfectly.
He is so genuine and caring and so intriguing as well I could seriously just listen to him talk about anything all day long
Lauren Stefaniuk So true! Hope he comes out with Audiobooks. By the way he is the evil Ultron character in the new Avengers movie that's being produced :)
RockstahRolln His voice is stellar! Yes I have listened to the trailer of JS playing Ulton. It is so haunting yet wonderful. If you haven't already heard them look up James Spader's radio interviews he did a long one in both 2013 and then in 2014 as well. His voice is like butter! AND he also voiced some Acura car commercials they can be found on you tube also. Just having audio of James makes my day. You are completely right about the audiobooks :)
RockstahRolln Forgot one thing look up Strange Highways it is an audiobook James did about 20 years ago.
I am fourteen, and am proud to say alan shore is the greatest character to have ever appeared on Televesion
I am 56 and wholeheartedly agree!
👏👏👏
I’m 75 and he is by far the BEST! You at 14 years of age are quite astute.
That paintball fight between Spader and Shatner in Season 5 was one of the funniest things I have seen. Couldn't stop laughing! Would love to see or hear any back stories or scenes that were cut or anything about the making of the show.
Best show, best actor, most amazing role. James Spader is wonderful. In the coming generation of actors I find that I like Benedict Cumberbatch very much in what he does (and he has a Voice, too!). Also charming and rambly in interviews ...
Spader kind of speaks like Jeff Goldblum when he pauses and uses all the filler words like Uh, and Uhm. It's awesome. He's so articulate like Shore is/was on the show.
James Spader did it to give the viewer time to swallow his words. Jeff Goldblum otoh is just one of the worst actors ever and he made these pauses because he lost yet another line of text.
He’s so method. He brought Allen Shore into his personality. Just like recently with Blacklist, he’s taken on Redingtons personality.
@@mwloos1 I see that as well. The characters he plays really have a direct impact on how he portrays himself in interviews. Its fascinating to see.
as a college student I used to watch it in awe but never really watched it completely, sadly only now do I realized that it was one of the best shows of its time, Wllliam Shatner was amazing and James's voice was so mesmerizing 👌😅
You can now get it on Hulu
I Love James Spader!!!
Alan Shore wasn’t afraid to be bad to be good. Respect.
The show was pure magic!
'Boston Legal's' failing was all the "issues" they "tackled." They rarely served the story. It is still fun to watch because the cast was so strong...
Inversely 'the Blacklist' has a middling journeyman cast, the writing is often dull, and is simply watchable because of Spader. He owns that character. Talented man...
Alan Shore for President.
I grew up watching The Practice and Boston Legal and dream of becoming a lawyer. Now, I am a lawyer here in the Philippines and even named my youngest son, Robert Donnell😂. If ever I will be blessed with another son I will name him Alan Shore.
I really want Boston Legal to return :(
Alan Shore played by James Spader is at the top of the tree along with Walter White/Bryan Cranston and Tony Soprano/James Gandolfini when it comes to a specific actor being perfectly cast to play a superbly written protagonist in a series, in my opinion.
Thank you, James
Spader Bergen Shatner rocked

Spader and Shatner made Boston Legal 💯 They were a hoot together 😂❤
Great cocktail and we all get drunk! haha
Great actor.
you CAN GET all six seasons on DVD!!
6 seasons?
Anna-Maj Andersson guess she’s taking about 5 seasons of Boston Legal plus the last season of The Practice
Ursula Schairer OK! 😊👍
@@ursulaschairer6268 You're correct. Many Boston Legal fans thought Season 8 of "The Practice" was the "Boston Legal" first season. Which is totally understandable.
David E Kelley deliberately wrote the final season of "The Practice" as a segue to "Boston Legal"
The five seasons of "Boston Legal" can be watched on Amazon Prime
Amen to that! :)
+Markr771 I totally agree with you! I discovered the series when they were already done with season 1, 2 and 3 :( So I'm pretty sad because I can't find a site to watch them.
Putlocker
Amazon Prime
In my country Disney+ has it
Best programme ever. Far braver than The West Wing. Discuss.
Don't need to discuss I agree completely
Both damn fine shows.
Just received your comment after two years, Eliza! West Wing is good by IMO it's just a very good political soap. Boston Legal takes on the world.
I wholeheartedly agree. No other show is in the same league as Boston Legal.
Imo the only show that comes close is "The Practice" - another show created the by the genius of David E Kelley.
Love him!❤
Who is the interviewer?
so red is acting James Spader
Two words: Deni. Crane.
@estoymuyharta Her name is... Denny Crane.
I wonder if he wears wig or it's real hair in this movie cos i'm familiar with his bald head in the blacklist and i think even he's bald but he still looks great and smart as normally, i prefer men with hair, i mean men with hair are more handsome than men with no hair in general. Love him.
Isn't the main nuance "creep"?
First class show ended far too soon.
Boston Legal started off incredibly well , amazing characters and the laughs were just brilliant . Unfortunately it became too silly , first with HANDS , that irritated me , then the black guy dressed as a woman , that killed the show , the series died out from there . very sad , if they stuck to the first season format , it could of been one of the very best .
Lol clarence story arc made me uncomfortable
I don’t believe Boston Legal died anywhere. I enjoyed the hell out of every single episode, including the episodes with Clarence. It’s just as Spadar said, the show got cancelled because of political correctness.
