Incredibly useful tutorial. I learned so many tips on general Blender use as well as for making clothing. I wish you continued your video making because you're very clear in how you explain things.
Very clear and easy to follow along with! Found myself returning to rewatch parts of this video many times only to go "oh that makes so much more sense" than the awkward ways I was doing things. Thank you!!!
do we have to use a 3d model to create the clothes or can we just use a vrm? I've been having trouble making a bodysuit for my vroid model but I feel like it's because the model wasn't made in blender but idkkkkkk
Interesting workflow, though I believe duplicating faces from the body and then scaling them up (and adjusting for baggy clothing) is more efficient. This also works for skin tight stuff too :)
@@bunisuvr why does that matter if it gets a similar result but more quickly? You get the added bonus of the clothes already taking shape of the body, and then you can pull pieces away as deemed fit (instead of trying to fit the pieces closer to the body), arguably getting a better result with less time and effort. You already made the body so my point is to take advantage of it instead of starting anew to save time
@@bunisuvr a bit late of a response, I dont even remember this convo 😝 But that's fair enough, though if you're fitting the clothes to conform to the shape of the body anyway it's pretty much the same thing imo. Just up to personal preference though!
Tysm! I learned how to make clothes in marvelous designer, but I was not going to pay $50 a month to use that software. I've been making avatars for vrchat for a while now (since 2019) but I never bothered to learn how to make my own clothes. I'm hoping to learn how to make models completely from scratch some day :)
Thank you so much for that tutorial. it easy to follow and cover most of the stuff i needed to start my outfit. 💖💖 I'm hype for futur vid if you make new one in the futur
If you dont mind me asking, where do I get started in order to make clothes and find a body dev kit and all that. This loooks so cool and I joined your discord too!
sorry for late reply i forgot i had a youtube lol but you can go to jinxxy , its a website where creators post their work for sale/free ! lots of bases on there
Hey great video will definitely be using this to start making assets. You explain everything so well! Quick question, if you wanted to make the asset to put on gumroad for people to buy do you skip the weight paint part or do you need to do that as well?
Not really following this, it misses some of the minor but important information and the video is in low quality so you can't even read what they're doing on screen
sorry to hear that you're having trouble, im planning on remaking this video soon. sorry for missing explaining minor steps, after years of modeling its really easy to just skip over them, do you mind telling me what i missed? i want to make my second video going over this easier :)
Seems useful. You explain things very carefully. No skipping and “wtf” moments. Please make more videos.
is there away i can get the uv map and make it into a texter where i can use it on substance painter
Thank you soo soo much for this tut! I finally got a better PC im so excited to finally make my own assets for vrchat!
This was so straightforward & the way you explained everything was so easy to understand. Thank you! I hope you make more videos in the future!

@@PunMisterdidn’t make the body , this is a purchased base for vrchat
@@PunMister hence why i’m not duplicating the mesh and then claiming it’s from scratch

When I am posing the model, if I move the legs parts of the shirt moves too. Does anyone know how to fix this?
some parts of the shirt is weight painted to the legs then, you need to erase weight paint on those bones
This so good thankyou!!
