Hey, Welcome to the OFD Watch Channel. My name is Aron Dunlap, and I’m nuts about watches. What’s OFD you ask? Well, one of my best friends coined this term. It stands for “Only F@#*ing Dunlap” (sorry kids!!) due to some of the ridiculous things I can come up with, including watch collecting.
I have loved watches for years, but in the last few years really got into the collecting and studying aspect. I mainly buy Seiko and Orient watches, but I love everything out there!! (Omega, Oris, Rolex, Squale, Timex, Casio, Steinhart….and on and on and on)

some inaccuracies: the plastic holder is not a case holder, its a movement holder. The dial on your Feiko is actually dark blue, its not light. In fact, its decently close to the real one. The caseback on the fake is missing the words : SPECIAL EDITION. On my fake, the bezel turns with a nice crisp sound and has NO play at all. Mine has a genuine Seiko movement. Seiko movements are not that expensive. here is a footnote: many factories in China are contracted to make parts for Seiko and even a few Swiss companies. Many of these parts (by the bucket full), are rejected by those companies and when they are, the factories do not any of them go to waste. They sell them from their back door to these replica factories. The fake factories will then use the parts to build their watches. Now, this business practice is not verified nor reliably prosecuted by the authorities in China. Lets not fool ourselves here: the Chinese government turns a blind eye to many fake endeavours; that put out everything fake: cell phones, watches, toys, gaming systems, jewelry, clothing, sneakers, beauty products, pens, car parts and even medication. The world is China's playground when it comes to things people in industrialised countries want to buy or consume for real cheap. The criminal element you mention is a western viewpoint. The regular people working in these fake factories make just enough to maintain a poverty level life and to get that taken away could mean starvation to them. The big western conglomerates
like Rolex and Omega and Gucci (and all the rest), want us to see these replicating activities as illegal because they hurt their wallets. Pretty obvious. And then what do we say about people (collectors), who take a genuine watch and modify to death with different custom made parts, customized dials, reshaped cases and mixing and matching bracelets or adding things like an Uncle Seiko bracelet to a genuine watch. And how about the trend I notice now of the Chinese fake factories using their Rolex replicas built with fake Seiko dials? Is it just one way to get around the illegalities of the business? The topic of the replica world is one that makes for an interesting debate.... I will stop now. By the way, I own the genuine PADI SE turtle and the finishing on it is up there in the same group as the medium tier group of watches, maybe not as refined as Tag or Omega but close. And the exception to this is the Grand Seiko line.

I had an employee whose so proud of his savings buying a feiko since he thinks the original is not worth the extra cash. It ended up getting fogged after like 3 months of use and we rarely have any rain here.... Forget waterproof on a feiko, it cant even survive everyday wrist sweat getting in through the back. Great vid sir 👍

I think in a few years we will see how bad the quality of these San Martin and other chinese watches is. they look good but the metal the use is not as good as Japanese or swiss. you get what you pay for

Despite Wish having a "counterfeit policy" the number of fakes that show up there is enormous. The best one I bought was a Seiko Presage Cocktail Time, or so I thought. The quality was awesome. However each one had the same serial number stamped on the display back. The rotor was steel not brass and it was stamped SEIKO COEP, not SEIKO CORP. The movement might have been an NH35 but definitely not a SARB. I'm surprised that the Padi didn't contain a quartz movement. They're making fakes now in quartz with a sweep second hand. I've stopped buying from Wish. I've bought, raised a dispute over counterfeiting, received refunds, and they haven't asked for the item back. Basically it's not worth the hassle because the quality is getting worse and it could be free junk made by dubiously sourced labour. No thanks. Don't use. Great video.

Yeah, the stuff they sell isn't worth the trouble. If they'll push this stuff and write off counterfeit claims, they are bottom dwellers. 😎👍👊

Dude Wish, and Temu is just a fake hub.
Also even other chinese outlets such as Shein use slaves from N Korea and Uyghur concentration camps.

🤭🤪😅🤣 Rolex must be breathing a sigh of relief now Seiko is being faked. Stick a different brand name (steel Diver, mukur, etc )and call it homage it would be loved. If anyone thinks they're get a real Seiko $40 then they deserve it.

    Nice video.
I have an actual Seiko Padi Turtle (SRPA21J1). There actually is a lot more wrong then what was mentioned.
There is a dive extension on the clasp if a real one, and the Bezel edge and crown are not even close on this fake.
I could someone who didn’t know being fooled, but this is a terrible fake. There have been multiple videos on these. When it’s compared to a real Turtle so many little things become obvious.

Suck of these fake posts. The real deal aren't that good. And not true about the 4r thing. The nemo can be made in Indonesia and China, which is where most real ones are made. And will get 4r Japan only an the Japan model but the other is not fake. BUT how much did you pay? I've never seen a fake, ill call it homage, at top price because everything about it shouts what it is. Please stop these pointless posts.
