Fun fact: if you want to be really cruel, you can butcher an enemy and reanimate their skin as an intelligent undead. It will die in a couple hits and cannot talk, see, hold things, or stand. Imagine the pure horror of dying and waking up as an animated sheet of paper.

i was playing as a plump helmet man on my first adventure playtrough and randomly found a tablet as loot on a random house i started killing kobold camps until in my ecstasy won me over... just singing on a campfire and suddenly a kobold with a steel pike destroyed my plump buddy

Couldn't you recruit a bunch of sellswords and get them to die with honor protecting you? Maybe it's hard to recruit more when the first batch turn up slightly blue....
