जब भी मैं किसी एशियाई या अफ्रीकी देश में गरीबी और अन्याय के बारे में इस तरह की वृत्तचित्र फिल्में देखता हूं, तो मैं हमेशा दो पहलुओं के बारे में सोचता हूं: 1. इस देश का बेकार नेतृत्व और खूनी राजनेता कहाँ है जो चुनाव के दौरान इन लोगों से वादे करते हैं लेकिन उनके रहन-सहन को बदलने के लिए कुछ नहीं करते हैं? 2. दूसरा, इस देश के स्वार्थी अमीर या कुलीन वर्ग के लोग कहाँ हैं और वे अपने ही लोगों की देखभाल क्यों नहीं कर रहे हैं? मुझे यूरोपीय देशों पर और जिस तरह से वे अपने लोगों की देखभाल करते हैं, उस पर मुझे गर्व है। लेकिन भारत, पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश और कई अफ्रीकी देशों और उनके नेतृत्व जैसे उन देशों के लिए शर्म की बात है जो सत्ता में आने पर इन लोगों को भूल जाते हैं। कुटिल राष्ट्रों में, स्वार्थ आदर्श है। जब इस देश का गरीब वर्ग धनी हो जाता है, तो वे अपना इतिहास भूल जाते हैं और अपने गरीब लोगों को भूल जाते हैं। राजनेता चाहते हैं कि वे बेरोजगार, अशिक्षित और बेघर रहें ताकि वे जब चाहें उनका शोषण कर सकें। ''पढ़े या पढ़े-लिखे हो गए तो अपना हक मांगना शुरू कर देंगे, इसलिए उन्हें इस अवस्था में हमेशा के लिए रख दो'', यही बात भारतीय राजनेता अपने कुटिल मन में गहराई से सोचते हैं। मुझे आश्चर्य नहीं है अगर इनमें से कुछ स्लमडॉग लोग, बड़े होने पर, अपने हाथों में हथियार लेते हैं और अमीर लोगों से पैसे छीनना शुरू कर देते हैं या राजनीति में अधिक शक्ति हासिल करने के लिए गैंगस्टर (मेरा मतलब राजनेताओं) द्वारा गाली देते हैं। इस खूनी राज्य के खूनी धार्मिक लोग कहाँ हैं? करोड़पति कहां हैं और बॉलीवुड कहां है जो हमेशा कुलीन वर्ग के लिए फिल्में बनाता है, भारत को इस ग्रह पर सबसे अमीर देश के रूप में दिखा रहा है? वे मंगल ग्रह पर उपग्रह क्यों भेज रहे हैं जबकि उनके 70,000,000 (70 मिलियन) लोग रेलवे लाइनों पर पेशाब करते हैं। अमीर लोगों को शर्म आती है? धिक्कार है कुटिल राजनेताओं को और खासकर मोदी कहे जाने वाले कुटिल नेताओं के नेता को। वह जानता है कि समस्या कहां है और वह इन गरीब लोगों का समर्थन करने की जहमत नहीं उठाएगा क्योंकि वे वोट नहीं डालते हैं या वे निचली जाति से हैं। बाकी दुनिया को भारत के काले पक्ष को दिखाने का साहस करने के लिए फिल्म निर्माता को धन्यवाद। मैं चाहता हूं कि ये सरकार अपने लोगों की ईमानदारी से देखभाल करे और अपनी जनता को शिक्षित करने के लिए कुछ करे। काश कोई एनजीओ या कोई अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठन साहस करता और कुछ बदलने के लिए करता। कोई भी, यहां तक कि भारतीय भी नहीं, अपने ही कुटिल राजनेताओं से कुछ भी उम्मीद नहीं करते हैं। डब्ल्यूएचओ, ह्यूमैनिटी फर्स्ट, रेडक्रॉस या सेव द चिल्ड्रन जैसे संगठन आगे बढ़ते हैं और बदलाव लाने का साहस करते हैं। कृपया आगे आने से पहले आपदाओं के घटित होने की प्रतीक्षा न करें। अब आओ और इन गरीब लोगों का समर्थन करें।
Not the poorest for sure. They have cattles. Some land to build that house. I heard a two wheeler sound in the background which probably is their vehicle. They have tools. Their surroundings are clean. The place is underdeveloped but this people are not poor. Poor people are in cities living under flyovers, near dumpyards, near sewage, with no access to clean water, clean food or clean atmosphere.
