How to use the verb "to leave" in Spanish: "Dejar"

  • Опубликовано: 7 дек 2016
  • The English verb "to leave" is equivalent to "me voy" in Spanish: "I am leaving", "dejé", "I left" or "I stopped". For example: “I left the keys on the table,” “I stopped smoking,” and “I am leaving now” in Spanish would be "Dejé mis llaves sobre la mesa", Dejé de fumar" y "Ya me voy". This video will help you say more than this. These sentences are just an example because with this video you will learn how to say many more useful sentences in Spanish using these common Spanish grammar structures. The verb "to leave", has many equivalents in Spanish, and if you learn all its equivalents, you will learn so much Spanish grammar, tenses, vocabulary, and more. After you watch this video, you will learn how to say to others where you leave stuff, when you stopped doing something, and when you are leaving a place. With this video you will improve your Spanish greatly. Also, you will learn the correct conjugation of the verb "to leave" -- "dejar" in Spanish. You will hear the correct pronunciation when I conjugate this verb, therefore you will speak as a native Spanish speaker. Muy bien, stop the bla bla blah, Ana. It is time for me to say: "Me voy" (I am leaving). I will leave you (los dejaré) with my video, and I hope you learn mucho español so soon we can talk over a cup of coffee. By the way, my resolution for next year is “to stop drinking hot chocolate” “dejaré de tomar chocolate caliente”. What´s yours? What are you quitting in Spanish? Tell me in Spanish.

    I know this video was posted 7 years ago but I recently came acrossed (ana) RUclips channel a few months ago and sense then I've been watching all her videos. She has a way of teaching that makes me want to learn Spanish even when I get stressed out when I'm having trouble either understanding something and or learning how to properly pronounce a certain word etc etc...she gives me inspiration and motivates me to learn spanish and to NOT give up on myself. She makes it fun to learn and she is energetic, passionate, positive, she is a great teacher and a wonderful person in general. God bless Ana and her family aswell as everyone else.

    • @zachsnyder4312
      @zachsnyder4312 6 лет назад +22

      Davidly Brown no,
      “Beber” means “to drink.”
      “Ver” is correct (to see, watch.)
      Also, you wouldn’t conjugate “dejar” there because it comes after an already conjugated verb. Therefore, you leave “dejar” in the infinitive.
      So, the correct sentence would be, “No puedo dejar de ver tus videos.”, or for respect (she is a teacher) the best way to say this is: “No puedo dejar de ver SUS videos.”
      Hope this helped
