I support Singapore's repurchase or buy back of Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Island at the right price. It will be a win-win situation for both countries. Afterall, Australia is a very big country. The inhabitants of these island must be given some remunerations too. If that happens, both Australia and Singapore are shoo-ins for the NOBEL.PEACE PRIZE AWARD. If Australia is not willing to sell them back completely, they can sell a part of the islands and its maritime territory. Both Australia and Singapore can share these islands and that will bring progress to those places.

In 1958 Singapore was not a sovereign country yet so the British had all the control sold the island to the Australians. That’s the external factor. We had no control whatsoever so we never controlled Christmas Island from the start. I advise u to read up on the history of Christmas Island for better understanding
