I have just a small question.
If I were to make a base, could I sew latex and leather to it? Or is that a little too ambitious?

How do you fix an oversized mask or is it impossible?
You can fix an oversized mask! WE answer questions like that and offer help on our Patreon!
One way to do it is measure your head, then measure the mask. From there you would start from the back and simply trim the mask a bit where the stitching is and measure those now cut areas/ edges until they have shrunken down a tad. Remeasure the mask until you feel comfortable with it and sew once satisfied

Genuine question. I’m currently training in wrestling in the U.K. Would it be considered disrespectful to wear a mask, and not be Mexican, or of Mexican ancestry?
Wrestlers from all walks of life have worn masks. Wearing a mask does not mean your a luchador. Not every luchador wears a mask. It’s all about presentation.
You can wear a mask that transmit something to you, don't pretend to be a Mexican Wrestler...it should be just your character.
