- Here is a slow cooker beef stew that is easy and perfect for dinner. The combination of tender chunks of meat, savory brown gravy, potatoes and vegetables are comfort food heaven. There are many classic beef stew recipes, but this one is my favorite. I like to serve over crusty slices of French bread for a stick-to-your-ribs hearty meal. This is a perfect beef stew without the fuss, you can make all winter long. You can also double this recipe to feed a large family.

The Best Beef Stew With Gravy - Хобби
You said Worcestershire perfectly 👏🏻
Best wishes from London, England.
Honestly, I used to make my stew from scratch. Now I use the McCormick seasoning packet for beef stew and follow the directions on the packet. I just add add additional garlic. It’s terrific.
I like McCormack seasoning also!!!
Just out of curiosity what are the condiments you'd use to make yours from scratch and are they similar to the ingredients of the seasoning packet.
I’ve never tried it, but my SIL used a lot of McCormick seasoning packets and people thought she was a fabulous cook!
@@chammychamchas just salt, pepper, onion powder garlic powder and celery seed. I don’t recall totally, it’s been so long. I didn’t look at the ingredients in the McCormick seasoning but they must be similar as the stew tastes very much like my own. I never had a recipe. I often cook by taste.
I love their chili too!!
Tried this yesterday it was delicious! Only changes I made was I added some beef broth! The meat was so tender the family loved it! Served with some crusty French bread as well and some egg noodles!
How much beef broth u put in it?
@@ravengoodwin2181 Twelve Gallons to be on the safe side.
Adding the noodles is a great idea.
Adding soup mixture is a great idea
I always brown the meat, chicken, pork because it does bring out the flavor. But its good when you can put all your ingredients in a crockpot in the morning on low setting and dinner is ready when you get home 😊
I should note it's different than mine, I use a 1/2 cup of red wine and a 1/2 cup of beef broth. I add the potatoes and carrots after two hours so they aren't too mushy. I use a large onion, 1/2 diced and 1/2 in chunks. I use two bay leafs. Seasoning is the same and I add peas near the end. I also brown the meat first and deglaze the pan with the wine. That said, Nice Job! ( Oh and I subscribed just because you used peas!)
Yum! Your recipe sounds like a recipe from an old *New York Times Cookbook* I always used to make all my stews . Needless to say, you don't include any commercial soup mixes loaded with harmful additives when you make stew.
She Said in the beginning A lot of ppl have been asking about an easier recipe that doesn’t INCLUDE BROWNING THE MEAT. Everything You just mentioned she can do and more. She was showing others who want to make an easier recipe
@@Nefertiti0403 I wasn't talking about browning the meat. If you reread my comment, it was about the ingredients. Too many "easy" recipes include what many would think of as harmful ingredients due to all the additives/chemical isolates used to make them. The goal in cooking if you care for your health should be to use WHOLE ingredients as grown in Nature.
👍👍 Best cook on video.😊
Looks good and comforting. I love crockpot meals. I think the only things I would do differently is add nice big chunks of onion, and hold off adding the peas til the last 10 min so they wouldn't be mushy. But that's just me. Great job on this Angelica. Thanks for the vid. Always enjoy them and have learned a lot from your Mexican recipes.
that beefy onion soup mix is a great add-to! remember, you are adding lots of onion flavor when you add that.
Love the crock pot recipes ❤ thank you
Woostersher is the correct pronunciation of Worcestershire. You were right on.
Wow this looks amazing! No liquids or broths?! I thought it would burn with no liquids added. Wow can’t wait to try this! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Mine burned with no liquids......🥺
@Jackie thank you for sharing + sorry for yr misfortune
I never add liquid to my pot roast in a slow cooker and it’s never burned but idk it might be the slow cooker temp itself
Browning the meat really improves flavor.
Best shortcut ever and great tips! Absolutely flavorful and scrumptious turnout! I lived on my own for 30+ years and never ever used a crockpot until several months ago. When I made my stews, I always cubed and browned the beef after a good dry rub. It was the magical step that made everything taste better. It was one that took extra time… and that I never imagined would have tasty results if I skipped the browning. You just proved me wrong! My husband absolutely loves this too. So, with a few days of cooler temps on the way … your recipe made our home one happy place. Thanks! 😋
This stew looks amazing. I am happy for a recipe that does not require browning the meat as a first step. Thanks for this recipe. I feel like a lot of us are looking for 'dump and go' recipes for the Crock Pot. Everybody's life is moving a mile a minute, isn't it? Often during the work week, we need to be able to come home to a meal that is already cooked. Thanks for the video.
Love beef stew lots of carrots yummy Thank you for sharing Angelika have a blessed day stay safe and healthy. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏
I watch a lot of cooking channels because I dislike eating eating same things over and over but I'm busy and need ideas. I appreciate that this channel looks like someone's house. Love it!
I’ve watched so many recipes and everyone adds broth or water. I never have. So glad someone else didn’t either. I thought I was the only one who didn’t add water/broth. Lol 😂
This looks absolutely fabulous!! I could smell it from here! Delicious and easy! Going to make it soon.

Hello stranger. Been awhile. Just to hear you're majestic voice is fantastic X❤
At first I thought: she didn’t add beef broth! But it came out perfectly! Thank you!! Will try your version soon!
Hi A!!! I never made beef stew in the CP. I think your recipe came out just so...tasty looking. I liked everything but peas. I do not ever eat them. I would maybe add onions and corn to mine maybe. I have been hungry for this meal. Great video!!!...
This is going to make a great meal for a cold night!! Thank you!
I LOVE YOUR RECIPES!❤
Thank you for being a beautiful soul and sharing your awesome recipes ❤️sending good vibes your way 🙌🏼
Great! Everything precut save lots of time! Thanks for a simple way to cook using the crock pot!
Looks delicious. Nice video. I’m not a good cook so I love crock pot recipes. Thank you for sharing this.
Looks good! I'm going to make this recipe this weekend. Also, you can mix butter, Italian seasoning, and parsley together, put in microwave; until butter is melted then brush on bread and put in oven until it is lightly brown, or longer if you like it a little crunchy. really good!
Thank you. I loved this receipe.. I have made it for the very fussy grandkids and they gobbled it right up. Today, I am cooking a pot for my elderly neighbours. This is going to be regular for my kitchen. A very simple stew that is rich in flavour and so easy to make.
That looks amazing 🤩
I love beef stew. Thank you for recipe. Great Video Angelica!!👍🏾👍🏾
Looks amazing!! Love your recipes!!
Great winter comfort food
I’m shock that so much liquid had been rendered from the meat. When you first put the lid on all the ingredients without liquid I thought you might have forgotten. Can’t wait to try this!
I will definitely be trying this one. Thanks! 😜
Love this!😍
Omg that looks 🤤 delicious. Thanks for sharing. I will most definitely be making this recipe for my sons and I when we get home from out of town. Have a wonderful Sunday and week.
I’ve never done stew with no liquid but the Mississippi pot roast doesn’t add liquid so it’s the same concept. Works well
Mmmmm looks so delicious 😋 I’m going to give that recipe a good try and see if my stew turns out as lovely as yours! Thank you 🙏 for sharing xx
You're on it !
Thank you so much !
Perfect and yummy.
As soon as I saw the video I ran to the store and grabbed the ingredients, I am enjoying it for dinner today, delicious and so easy!!! I added mushrooms and pearl onions, yummy ❤
I would like to make this what's the name of the meat you bought from the store? Does it say stewed beef on the packet?
@@bellaapple2166 I use chuck. I find anything above 80 fat is too dry and/or too tough.
To clarify, chuck is 80% fat, anything higher lean land lower fat I don’t like for above reasons.
That beef stew looks so good!
That looks soooo good. Thank you.
Absolutely amazing 🎉 made this for the family and they loved it ❤ you are such a amazing cook🙂
Great recipe! Looking forward to your next one :) thanks 😀

Looks great and got in time before I process for meals again!
Love your recipes 😋
Very good go at Worcestershire , which many of us struggle with across the pond.
Looks Delicious!
Looks amazing! I love the idea of serving it over toasted French bread! 😋
I’m going to try that! I’ve done something similar, serving the toast alongside or cutting the toast into cubes and sprinkling it on like croutons and both are delicious.
Awesome Job!Absolutely tasty. Everyone will add some kind of twist. Simplicity and Delicious
Mmmm your family is so lucky!

That looks delicious 😋
I made this last night with french onion soup because I couldn't find beefy onion soup and it was really good! I also added 1 cup of water at the beginning because my slow cooker tends to burn on high with no liquid
Yummy! You're a good cook Doris. Like my late father-in-law use to say to his wife.
That looks delicious 😊👌🙌
Spectacular! I thought, "oh I don't need to watch this, I make stew in crockpot many times". Boy was I happy I did watch, you have some great tips and I never knew you could cook this without adding water. Thanks so much for another great meal. 🌻🐕🥰
I’m trying this today!
LOOKS AMAZING 👍
Omg you are the best cook I swear
That looks great. I'm going to try it for my next slow cooker meal. I like that it's dump-and-go, as I live in an SRO and don't have a proper kitchen.
I liked doing this in my insta pot, but honestly slow cooking method you just showed has got to be better. Going to try this on the weekend. 😊
Love how you didn't use any water and made your own broth with just the ingredients. I'm trying your recipe tonight. And thank you. 😊
That beef stew would go so well with rice.
Beef stew is the best fall and winter meals.

Were-Stir-Shyer .... is how I've always been taught. Were. Stir. Shyer.
It’s ‘wuss’ as in ‘puss’ - ‘ter’ ‘sher’.
Wusstersher pronunciation.
Coming from indigenous Londoner of 60 years. Who had family members from Worcestershire county.
I always pronounced it war•chester•shire• lol
MMM yummy I swear I could smell it lol. Thank you for sharing
Yuuum and we’re getting into soup weather here where I am so yaaaas soups and stews for the win.
Looks great 👍
Very nice-Thanks for sharing 👍
Tried this .... Sooo Great !!!!!!
Thanks for the bay leaf tip!!! 🍃❤️
👩🏻💻When I make beef stew I always use a roast or steaks for my meat. The dry soup mix is an excellent idea and a time saver. I love onions so I chop one up along with the soup mix. One thing I always do is to chop up those celery leaves, they have more flavor than the celery itself. Beside the celery leaf always looks pretty in stews and soups. I have never put my meat in flour, such a good idea. I have always thickened the juices after, which is a big pain.
