I think encounters being soloable after contest mode is fine. It's a fun challenge and solo nezzy is up there for one of the harder lowmans imo. That being said, contest mode and master being such a cake walk is stupid and should be changed.
The only hard part of the raid I found was the 3rd encounter and that was only because it felt like they completely threw out the mechanics of the first 2 encounters to do something different. And then on the final encounter, they go back to what the first 2 encounters were doing.

I want to do this raid at least once just to take in all the visuals. This raid is gorgeous but I've yet to get enough friends together to do it ( I'm currently taking them through VoG as the first raid they've ever attempted and we have to 5 man it)
I promise, I know the idea of getting an LFG may seem scary, but LFGs are generally very nice and helpful as long as you make it clear that you are inexperienced.

I've played for 2000 hours, an absurd amount of time to play 1 single game (nevermind Dattos likely 10,000+ hours). The master difficulty took 12 hours to get through with randoms in LFG. The difficulty is just fine. People need to stop crutching solar healing and optimal ultra giga loadouts with triple 100 armor stats. Bungie aren't going to ruin a game for the majority just because some people literally play nothing else.

I mean the “challenge” for encounter 1 is have the light buff holder kill the tormentor aka have everyone else beat them down and let buff guy get the kill. Maybe instead you have to kill the tormentor before a certain time like kill it before 15-20 seconds. You could also do it to where everyone has to at least activate 1 ball in a phase if possible

Does anybody know why Tractor doesn’t inherit anti-barrier from Radiant? It seems to be the only gun that doesn’t have explicit anti-champion traits that doesn’t get it. I am aware it stuns Overloads by default, but this is a Subclass property, not a weapon property.
I actually liked the Master version compared to the normal, I think it’s how it should be… except for Nezarec… mf one shot everyone and gave me day one flashbacks
To be fair to him, it was a culmination of a tonne of effort and work from multiple people and a lot of skill and effort on his part. Simply "soloing" Neza doesn't equate to it being "easy" - it's very much a difficult feat; 6 man is not however.

But that doesn't diminish the fact that the solo itself has been a lot of work and effort, and isn't just something any normal player can achieve - It's a very VERY difficult feat with a lot of min maxing going on. Same goes for most low-person challenges - Just because it's been done doesn't necessarily mean it's easy and anyone can do it.
@Harry Stringer We all agree on that. No one said it was objectively easy to solo Nez. Relatively speaking however, to see a raid boss solo'd within weeks of the raid dropping is unprecedented over all raids (bar maybe crota, no idea when that was first solo'd) and it's quite clear on that basis alone that this raid has a problem. This was also demonstrated when other encounters were solo'd during contest, flawlesses and low mans were dropped during contest and the raid was completed in two and a half hours on day 1. Basically, soloing nez is difficult for any player, but soloing nez IS much more approachable than any other raid boss solo in history that isn't just a cheese (like Riven is today).
I love that Datto did this to prove a point but at some point people need to accept that some of the pain points people have in destiny Bungie simply doesn't agree with. I wanted to at least try and share the only solar non ability spam build I like across all 3 classes, Datto mentioned searching for a non-bonk solar titan build: I fucking hate ability spam builds, abilities are fun but when they steal the show they become so boringly strong that the excitement of bungie's well made gunplay loses all value, and at that point then wtf did I even grind all these guns for if I can just throw infinite grenades and hammers. With that context out of the way I wanna preach How awesome Path of Burning Steps is for Solar Titan in PvE. Firewalker feeds into solar gunplay on Titan so well that its all I use on Titan. Exotics like that one are what make Destiny enjoyable to me, They promote the synergy not between a single ability or the synergy between multiple abilities, but instead promote the synergy between abilities and the great gunplay of this game. besides solar surge and gun related mods, the build isnt too complex outside of what is essentially roaring flame for your guns.
This attitude is so draining to someone who doesn't have the time to keep up with the grind. Things can be effortless for well-equipped, well-optimized teams without being easy for most people.

And still everybody says the master version is easy, I am not able to complete this raid with an LFG i tried yesterday and today and i finished neither with runs falling apart at the 3rd encounter. Am i sad yes do i feel like a let down to myselfe also yes but it is what is is. No more crying areound and i just need to try more.
I think the 3rd encounter is the hardest part of the raid. It pretty much throws out what was done in the first 2 encounters just to do it's own thing. And the funny thing is that when you get to the final encounter, it goes back to what was done on the first 2 encounters.
everyone starts somewhere, and i'm sure you'll be able to breeze through this stuff given enough time and practice. wanting to improve instead wanting things to be handed to you is a mentality that gets you far in life.
It took me 12 hours to fully complete the Master version. I am completely drained. I wish people like Datto would use LFG and stop crutching his tight knit group using optimal ultra giga meta loadouts to judge whether a raid is difficult.

It was probably only an issue in the beginning but once it progressed further down to the end of the first floor, he was fine to be left alone.
It feels weird that the Legend Vexcalibur Mission is the hardest thing added this season. Contest RoN was free and so is Master.

Am i sad yes do i feel like a let down to myselfe also yes but it is what is is. No more crying areound and i just need to try more.
I think the 3rd encounter is the hardest part of the raid. It pretty much throws out what was done in the first 2 encounters just to do it's own thing. And the funny thing is that when you get to the final encounter, it goes back to what was done on the first 2 encounters.
everyone starts somewhere, and i'm sure you'll be able to breeze through this stuff given enough time and practice. wanting to improve instead wanting things to be handed to you is a mentality that gets you far in life.
It took me 12 hours to fully complete the Master version. I am completely drained. I wish people like Datto would use LFG and stop crutching his tight knit group using optimal ultra giga meta loadouts to judge whether a raid is difficult.
@@zeskay People like Datto have done nothing but play Destiny for 10 years. 10 years. That's like 10,000 hours. Bungie should not be balancing a game around these people. People like me have played for 2000 hours which in non cave dweller reality is an absurd amount of time to play 1 game in itself. Master difficulty was just fine. Datto just crutched titan solar sunspots, triple 100 armor stats and like 4 warlock wells. The game's difficulty is just fine. Bungie if they are smart will only consider how the difficulty is for LFG groups. Because why design a whole game's philosophy around assuming everyone has 5 friends they play with 24/7? Especially when in-game LFG is on the horizon.
