If you guys comes out with a new model that is a little longer in length, while maintaining narrow/ compact limbs, with three vane arrows, a snap on stock/foldable stock and getting speeds truly close to the ibo. Then for most hunters like me, that would be a game changer for sure. Especially out to 50 yards to kill a deer ethically. I would definitely buy one then!
We need a model that shoots 3 vane arrows. The prongs that pull the string back limit the size vane you can use. Unless you use feathers which is what I've started using. Feathers collapse and open bk up when they pass the prongs but still the string kinda gets in the way when cock it and put an arrow in it.
If there was a way to make the rail channel deep eneough to make a three fletching bolt it might strech the distance for accurate groups. Is there any helical twist on the vanes?
I doubt you read this but if you do I want you to know I have owned a Reverse Bat. It had potential but I took it on a hunt on my side by side and it somehow fell off the back where it was strapped in to other items when we crossed a river. That or it was stolen as the place we stopped to eat just before we went into the trail. Either way All the ideas I was planning to do to it to improve the way it shot went out the window . I have lots of experience in building bows and have made a bunch of custom compounds for decades and I love to frankenstein the hell out of bows to make them way better than they were ever designed to be originally. I have that dream for this crossbow too. I will list my major change ideas for this crossbow and if you read this tell me if anyone has tried it. If they have I won't need to waste my time experimenting. First I want to widen the inner rail opening so there is zero contact until just before the string lock or using a capture nock to attach the bolt to the string (like Ravin does) . My thinking is by grinding the center wider the rail on one of these and then simply mount a bow rest on the front of the Barrel of the Crossbow it would open the door to using standard diameter Bolts and arrow shafts. While I am not a huge whisker biscuit brush rest fan I believe it could work nicely on this build idea as would several other known bow rests that could be mounted to hold the bolt inline. From what i tested the issue using these as hunting tools come from the micro arrows you make for them. They are not great flying and anyone who has shot one has to admit things would be much better with real arrows or bolts. You guys should let me chop one of these up and see if I can make it even better than ever. If we can get a real arrow or bolt to work easily in them and make them tunable you should be able to shoot them out to farther yardage and have much more lethal returns. Plus that reverse megaBat has no reason not to be the best crossbow ever made .
The fletchings on these arrows are too small. That's why they are not grouping well. I experience this same problem with my bat. I cannot get 3 arrows to group within 2" at 20 yards. And it's worse when you install the heavier brass or stainless steel inserts. I have modified my bat to accept and shoot 8mm arrows. And it shoots them just fine. And group way better.
I read that limb breakage occurs frequently by the100th shot due to stress from short power stroke causing cracks in limbs as they cannot dump the stored kinetic energy and the restricting the full release of energy starts microfractures that eventually cause failure. If you know what I mean. I don't have the language to describe the physics but the short part is they break A LOT. Is this true? I want one and I will not spend $ 2000 on a Ravin.
This looks like a good design, i just wish it had a little more power/higher poundage limbs, so it could shoot heavier bolts with the same results/accuracy. Then, for me, this would be great. Still, looks like a solid product, I like the stock. 👍
Great job at the recommendation of the max efficiency of this bowl at 25 yards. Personally I think it would be 20 yards and less…. Everybody always sees the feet per second on this bow and think they can shoot anything but what they fail to realize is the bolts are only like 200 grains. It can kill for sure, but with the lack of weight the arrow carries penetration, won’t be the best… I see a lot of videos with this bow, and I think of it more as a novelty item for hunting then a true hunting bow but to each their own would be a cool item for planking around in the backyard, but I’ve never take it into the woods to hunt
He mentioned the hunting bolts are 270, add a 125 grain Broadhead and you're damn close to 400, which I think is acceptable. I heard a hunter talking about shooting 400 grain at 70 lbs and never failed to get a pass through.
Not a very good range. Got a road parallel. Looks like buildings in the distance. Have an accident and launch it at the sky and you in big trouble potentially. Stool falls over. Anything. Range needs to have absolutely nothing down range you won’t want to destroy. Especially cars, houses, people. Be safe. Think worst case. 👍

Agreed!
100%
I totally agree with you, they are way slower than advertised

Also lighted knocks would probably help with sighting in
I would love to see some more testing with it zeroed at 30.
I would like to see a 200lb limb set-up for this bow. Then it would be getting close to 350fps.

Lets go finally the long range!!! :) love the product keep it up

Your product is great! Keep doing your thing brother 👍🏽
Hey man I have the bat reverse and I need that tripod set up ware can I find it ? I don’t see it on your ballista website

$ 2000 on a Ravin.
I think you need a 3rd fletching to fine tune it. There looks to be a slot in the rail so why not use a 3 fletching bolt.
what bolts diameter did you use in video?
Diameter is 6mm
@@ballista.archery thanks, so this is about the same as Supersonic FMA
What scope is this
Ya need to have a Compound bow multi pin sight made up for it. Would be sweet
They make crossbow red dot sights with 3 dots and scopes with 5 horizontal crosshairs
It needs a 20 round magazine with electric puller.
The arrows are very lightweight and penetration drops off dramatically with distance.
Can you take a 8 point buck down with it

What kinda scope you have on that?
I’d be curious, I’m having trouble picking one out.
What scope is that on there?
MAKE THE BALISTA BAT ACCURATE AT 100 YARDS!
OUTSTANDING!👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
Great video. I will be investing probably.
Told you Albert!!!! Bat reverse fuckin gets it
yessir! Hopefully ill have some custom bolts soon, those should perform even better!
Don’t use shwacker!! I lost 2 animals with them. Great shots. The broadhead never expanded.
I’ve never had problems with Rage.
Can it kill a deer at 40??
Man even at 40 yds to actually hit that target is impressive!!!!!!
Wow nice shot! would be great if it can hit 200-400 yds away 🎯!🤪
You're joking right? Saying that is like saying it "would be great" if my rubber band gun could take down a elk, bro 😂@@ajalvarez1387
Do you ship to the UK?
The FMA supersonic is the same in the uk
shot 3 vane arrows u will be driving arrows withing a 1 inch grouping
Good job !! It is useful

Than, not then.
@@sergemarlon i can tell you you most likely won't get any pass through on any deer over 10 yards at best
@gregharrison7631 you're wrong. There's a dude here on YT who posted plenty of kill shots that were pass-throughs that were beyond 10 yards
I don't understand how a bolt with two vanes could possibly be accurate.
At 40 with your hunting points. Would that take one of them hogs?
possibly, would need to be a very clean shot.
Chronograph it I wanna see the speed
should shoot with custom arrows as well
getting some Fixed up!
Too much heal strike. That's how I used to run it's hard on your body. It's hard but worth it to train to land mid foot and less hill in the shoes
shoot the bow under a slo mo camera and see why
God bless everyone.keep the faith in Jesus.

long shot is 100+ yards !!
