  • The Buddha’s Questions That Led to Awakening.
    #enlightenment #buddha #dharma #meditation #awakening
When you read the Buddha’s accounts of his own quest for awakening, it’s hard not to be struck by how many times he asked questions of himself, and how his quest was directed by his questions.
It started when he saw a problem: Here he was, subject to aging, illness, and death, and yet he was seeking happiness in things that were also subject to aging, illness, and death. He asked himself, “What if you were to seek happiness in things that didn’t die?” The question suggested a possibility he hadn’t thought of before. So, as he says, he went off in search of what was skillful. This shows that he already had some assumptions: that there was a way, a method of human action that would lead to the deathless, and he wanted to find the skillful means to get there.
Chapter 1. Original Question: “What is skillful?”
Chapter 2. If he hadn’t questioned that advice, we never would have had a Buddha.
Chapter 3. This is how awakening comes.

    Sadhu 3x, very encouraging.
Thanks for continuously giving your own perspective to Buddha's teachings.
I am amazed several views you share, such as in your previous video, you gave 3 interpretation/view of Buddha: a Victorian, Romantic or victim of his time, and he is neither of them. Very well explained.

When you meditate in a tree then the nature will be your guide like a true friend

I wish it was that simple friend. Insects, bugs that may bite you. However practice is key so why not, just be careful. No harm starting small first.

It was Prince Siddhartha who seeks the truth about birth, aging, sickness and death.
Buddha is a title accorded to a human who had attained Complete Perfect Enlightenment or Perfect Wisdom.
Prince Siddhartha became a Buddha 12 years after learning from various teachers,.
The prince then sat under the Bodhi tree, let go of all the knowledge he had acquired. The prince instantly attended enlightenment.
    Buddha speaks the truth.
    The Buddha don't explain.
