Thank you, this solve my problem. I have reinstaled a couple of times. After four times, i started to get this problem... but you have saved my day. Thanks and God Bless You.
actually you dont need created the partition with the EFI folder....i found solved by my self..you just need mount EFI partition and you copy CLOVERX64 from EFI/CLOVER/ and paste at the main EFI PARTITION....after that you can add boot from BIOS..
I am using an old laptop for Hackintosh (completely removed windows) and managed to run Hackintosh without windows but booting needs USB every time. Do I need windows to have this boot as you illustrated?
You can't see the efi partition unless it's mounted using clover configurator. However, I'm experimenting with an old system. It would boot Mojave fine after dragging the efi from the boot stick to the hidden efi partition. However Catalina will not boot by itself using the same technique. I believe this maybe because the old bios does not read the APFS file system. So I may try this idea to see if it will boot it. 👍
thanks man. i have dual boot single Drive. so what i did is i shrink may windows drive with 400mb for sure and assigned drive letter then copy EFI folder to new created drive, after that remove the drive letter and ur done... thanks bro...
Thank you. You copy the EFI folder to the EFI you have created to have an EFI folder on an EFI partiotion or you copy the EFI contents to EFI partition? 10:13
I tried this method and it didn't work when booting. I installed mine with OpenCore things are probably different now. Should I add my "com.apple.recovery.boot" folder along with the EFI folder?
Dear sir, I try your method it works. But I have an issue, every time I reboot my computer with press F9, that EFI name will increase one time, now my boot screen show multiple of same EFI name there. It's looks weird...... Could you please advise how to settle this?? Thank you.

hey bro I have been struggling with install mac os ventura on my hp laptop old model. the problem is my bios doesn't have advanced settings and ahci mode. When I try to install mac os with usb stick It will boot perfectly. but when open my disk utility my sata HDD drive wasn't showing. I have found some solutions but it didn't work. example enable AHCI mode. But i have already mentioned that, my laptop isn't compatible for AHCI mode. Is there any way to install mac os in my laptop without trying proxmox or vmware and virtual box? Help me bro
I have a question. When I spam my button to boot the hackintosh it won’t boot. It just goes to windows like normal. This started happening out of the blue one day so not sure what the problem is (sorry I’m a noob nm my friend helped me with the hackintosh a while ago)
Big thank you, worked really fine. Since today my UEFI is simply overgoing OC while booting. MacOS Uefi is still shown in the UEFI but and even set on first place nothing changes. Plugging in USB does not change anything. Any ideas ?
I'm gonna bash my head into some wall. Been 2 days and my EFI folder doesn't even appear in Finder, the partition gets renamed itself to something like "disk0s3" and it disappears.
Hey so for some reason my hackintosh doesnt update to the llatest version of mac os. I click upgrade it restarts and the same update shows up again. Can you help me?
Here's my problem: the EFI partition doesn't show at all, so, I can't execute clover configurator in order to set boot from hard disk. I can only boot from pendrive. I wonder if is there some solution without formatting.
@@eddiequeboard2672 No, Eddie. The only solution was formatting and begin from square one. It happens because we probably set the windows first. You have to set the MacOs first, create the partitions, and only after this, set MsOs.
@@ERICMAIACHANNEL I just managed to figure it out using the terminal, you just find the efi partition using diskutil command and then mount it with another command, then just copy those files to the new folder and it's done
I didnt even make the partition like you said I copy and paste it on the desktop because I told myself I'd do it later (lazy ik lol) and turned it off later came back booted up and to my surprise it just came to life. Still gonna do it though so I dont have to see it on the desktop Haha
wrong, no need to create a new partition, there will already be a hidden partition called EFI, you just need to mount it and replace the efi contents from your usb installer
Actually that's wrong. I had absolutely no partition called EFI on that hard drive and I searched for it, trust me. I even used clover configurator and the only one that showed me was the windows one and other people I talked to had the same problem. So I think you might just be lucky :D
@@TheMysticle if you cant see your efi partition that will be because you didn't format the drive correctly at setup. The drive needs to be formatted as APFS GUID partition, if you cant see the GUID partition choice you need to click on the select all devices and that then will show you the full hard drive.
@@TheMysticle The EFI-Partition is hidden and you need to mount it with the tool called „MountEFI.command“. You can download it from GitHub. Once you downloaded it, open it and select your drive where macOS is installed. The EFI-Partition should appear now.
I have an important Question for completely AMD Users! There should be the AMD Kext (under EFI/OC/Kext) and not the the SmallTreeIntel Kext right? I found that out because the Windows aren't smooth when dragging around. Maybe that could cause the issue.
So, oddly enough, the EFI partition creation failed... ish. Disk Utility indicated the partition failed with "multiple errors" yet the EFI partition still mounted. I was also able to copy files over and read successfully. My gigabyte boot manager didn't see it tho... not surprised given the error. Did anyone else run into this?

Considering I managed to get all the kexts configured yet I DIDNT MANAGE TO GET THIS BIT! Thank you very much kind sir 💪🏽
Great tip that worked! Just copied EFI from USB to Catalina drive and works. Now just need to get rid of Clover bootscreen and shell...
I recommend you switch to opencore

this is really what I need actually. thank you..
Awesome thank you!!!! I wanted that EFI folder as it didn't create when I installed Hackintosh
Thank you so much! I already had an EFI partition, but i cant boot it, so i renamed it, and created an other EFI partition, it works now :D
So you couldn't run macos , but then you renamed EFI partition it ran well?
@@Quercy No, i made an other efi partition. If i don't rename it, it won't let me create, because the partition with this name is already exists.
it didnt work for me, I created the partition with the EFI folder, unplugged my pendrive, rebooted and it went to the BIOS

little easier: i used MountEFI to show EFI Partition. Delete EFI Folder and replace it with the EFI folder from the USB stick.
So, after all of the processes, you would want to set the new efi, as "ACTIVE", in the partition settings, in Windows, right?
where to find that EFI folder or how to create it? Thank you
