    The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title.     CONGRATULATIONS Coco!!! Coco is unbelievably talented and such a great role model. At 19 to be so poised and having a great sense of self. I am so happy that she mentioned and thanked all of those who wrote hurtful things about a 17, 18, and 19 year old child who is living her life in the public eye. We seem to forget the fact that they are still young kids, working hard to make a life for themselves. I am so proud of her.

    what a moment--she started with the two biggest titles of her career this summer (500 and 1000) and finished with a slam, crowning her place in history. it always seems like coco has been a star in tennis for so long waiting for her moment and it always amazes me that she is only 19.

    After that medical break, which left me suspicious, I was glad that Gauff came right back and broke back after losing her serve, so that any intention by Sabalenka to break Gauff's momentum would be dashed. Well done Gauff.

    Full match, pronto! What a great three set final! Coco showed great self-belief, mental resiliency and anti-fragility. She problem solved after dropping the first set to Sabalenka. She committed more to her strokes, retrieved every ball possible, absorbed pace better, and found her forehand again. Write your own narrative and ignore the noise. Regardless of outcome, if you go for broke and give it your all then you can be proud of your effort.

      I think this was a passing of the torch as Woman's Tennis (if they both stay healthy)has it's first set of friendly rivals in both Coco and Aryna in years. The Global Game of Tennis won today 9/9/23 and not just Coco either.

You were like a lion chasing for food. Your eyes, could tell. You were determined to win this GS. I still remember 4 years your tears but todays tears of joy. Sabalenka almost destroyed Coco's confidence after her fake injury. Again, I cannot hold my tears for your victory Mama Coco. .

    I went to see her first match when she was 16 at the US Open. It was on the smaller field of course. But today she is the US Open Women's World Champ!!! You can never fail if you never quit. Congrats CoCo!!
