- This is a quick tour and explanation of my recording area, including the hardware and software that makes my videos (and what I hope is a fairly good quality) possible.

I think this is a great set up. the foil all around you def helps illuminate the entire room as well! if you find the lights are getting too bright you can use parchment paper to soften the tone a bit so its not too harsh on you. I had to do that when the lights were on my desk and shining towards me and the models. considering what you see for a lot of other war gaming channels, your set up is incredibly solid! Wish I had a quiet environment to film,in. half the time I stop recording since I got people screaming in the background.
+Commissar Gamza thanks! I have used a paper cylinder around each light before to diffuse the light, but with 2 lights it's much less harsh on the camera as there's less dark spots. I am considering a grey background for my videos to reduce that brightness on the models cam. I will be paying this room off for many years, but I think it's going to be worth it :)

Great set up, I film stuff on my desk with my phone but I am getting a laptop for Christmas and I already have a fancy webcam so I just need those fancy lights really, thanks for the advice!

Great stuff mate, I do still intend to use your advice in my computer purchase (hopefully sooner rather than later). The quality of your picture is great so I could be tempted by the cam too. To be honest I feel a bit like a kid that's dressing the same as someone they want to be like haha
