Love everything about this! Awesome song choices, well editing, beautiful scenery. I also hiked the PCT in 2019 and oh boy, I miss that life! Even hiker hunger and mosquitoes don't sound too bad now haha
This is the fifth PCT video I have watched. Yours is entertaining and creatively shows the trail and some off trail highlights. The alternate route is a delight to watch and view the country in the best seasons. I like the southbound hike idea starting at Canadia early in the year.
Nice work! Especially enjoyed seeing the Sierras with so little snow - fascinating how bare Forester pass looks with the trail actually exposed. And speaking of bare: "a moon all to ourselves," hahahaha!!
Awesome video guys and double congratulations. You may remember meeting two older female Type 1 diabetics early in the desert at a water cache where we were joined by a crazy young French Canadian woman called ‘Produce’. We saw her in Washington months later days away from completing the trail in record time. Like you, Helen and Katrina, now The Double Ds called Shepherd and Kit Kat respectively, we retreated from the Sierra at Rock Creek and then took the more drastic decision to head directly for Canada. We came in at Hart’s Pass, did 30 miles extra to touch border, walked all of Washington, walked Oregon to Santiam Pass, hitched to Crater Lake for a day and then resumed at South Lake Tahoe till we finished our hike at Reds Meadow after completing 1604 miles. I have plans to return to the Sierra and complete this section at least (essentially the JMT) and maybe more of Northern California. I have written a book about my experience and now trying to secure a publisher or will possibly go down the self publishing route. It was the best thing I have ever done and I still continue to think about it solidly every day. I am in awe of your achievement guys and wish you the very best for your life together. Stay COVID safe. Weren’t we so lucky to have attempted the PCT in 2019? Best Wishes Katrina
Thank you Katrina for your kind message and for watching our film! We do indeed remember you two, the Double Ds!!!! Congratulations to you both, we felt very inspired by both of you and still do to this day. What matters the most is your experience spent out in the wilderness along the PCT and the memories created to cherish forever. That's incredible you're thinking about heading back to complete the last section, we would do it all over again if we could. Continuing to bring back the lessons from trail into real life. Would LOVE to read you book once it has been published, please do let us know when we can have a read!!! I (Becky) have also nearly finished writing my book, working on the last bits of editing. Let me know what publishing route you take as trying to figure this out myself. Couldn't agree more, forever grateful we roamed the lands of the PCT in 2019. Big love & stay safe xx
This is brilliant! Lots of trail documentarys out there, but your creative filming/editing really puts this one in a league of it's own. I did the PCT in 2014, planning the CDT next year to complete my triple crown! Hope to cross paths with you all someday!
Great video! I enjoyed seeing all the familiar places and some I haven't walked yet. Enough material to give an idea of what it's like; I especially liked the close ups of animal life. You had to be patient to get those shots! Thanks for sharing
Better than TV 👏 Huge congrats. Sure the edit took longer than the walk! What was more difficult? We loved watching it, well done, now we want to do it too...!
Great production very inspiring, congratulations 🎉

This is so good! If my PCT ends up having a high snow pack, this looks wonderful and worth flipping up. Wow. Thank you for this.
