Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hated, let me sow love;
where there in injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grants that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love,
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

I read a book YEARS ago by Wayne Dyer (RIP) called “There is a spiritual solution to every problem” he basically has intro chapters then each chapter there after is him breaking down each line of prayer. I memorized that prayer and I’m not exaggerating, my day would be filled with a type of connection and “coincidences” so years later, I got into recovery. AA specifically at first. This is the 11th step prayer. Then I had a flash of memory that Mr. Dyer himself found that he had a drinking problem then joined AA where he learned this prayer. He’d take his fans or people on trips to the home place of Francis of Assisi. I still want to go. Later I found out that Saint Francis didn’t even write this. Who knows? I just know it’s my favorite prayer of all time and it reminds me not to make it all about me. To not be a self absorbed jerk and to bring goodness to wear there is discord, instead of joining in or letting it bring me down. Instead, I can bring the light. But only when I say this prayer.
A few months ago, one day as I was driving my elderly mother, I told her about my desire to someday walk The Camino. When we got out of the car, there was a new person at the front desk, so I introduced myself and asked his name. His name was Santiago! Later, I drove my mom to her daily walk by the water. On the way, I told her that in Italy, there is a walking path similar to The Camino and it is called The Way of St Francis. We got out of the car and proceeded with our walk. Near one of the benches along the way was a folded piece of paper on the ground. I bent down and picked it up. It was a copy of The Poem of St. Francis! I’m a lapsed Protestant. Some friends are going to teach me how to pray the rosary.
You should read the book of Tao/Dao. It might be Tao Te Ching here. It is Jewish for eastern folk. Dao you may not find.
@@Starburst75My only disappointment ever with Wayne Dyer is that I never once heard him actually give credit to God, Jesus or tbe Holy Spirit directly or name them as his "source", as he put it. He may have done exactly that. If he did I never heard him say it.
I Attended A Franciscan High School In Chicago during 1954-1957, and I Learned Sooo Very Much About Our Faith And St. Francis In Those Four Years Than The Eight Years In Catholic Grade School! It Was Wonderful And Always Will Cherish The Memory! This Beautiful Prayer Is Imbedded In My Heart Always! Thank You For All You Do! God Bless And God Love You! Love The Franciscans And Always Will!

While I love St Francis, I was hoping you would have the Litany of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus ready for July.
I just realized that you had requested this prayer a while back. We are now planning to try to have this ready by July. We had done the Sacred Heart Litany for June since it seemed appropriate for the current month.
