I hope to see this concept expand. More guitars at a price point (would be fun to do some in store/pre reveal selection) but also include pedals & amps at a price point as well.
The b-stock squier jazzmaster J.Mascis is my favorite guitar under 500€ 🎸
Glad to see content like this, budget/affordable guitars for the win!
I really hate shapes on Larry Carlton strats and etc, but that LP looks good and I would consider it. I always have mixed up feelings about putting more expensive pickups in cheap guitar but as you said they sounded really good and it would be good platform for eventual upgrade.
My favourite under 500 guitar is the Harley Benton double cut of the gotoh series. Beautiful instrument with stainless steel frets and the gotoh golden hardware.
Great picks ! Mine would be Sire L7 too or a Yamaha Revstar RSE20 in that price range.
Hey guys, been loving the content lately! This doesn't have much to do with this specific video but posting here as it is the newest maybe a higher chance of yall reading this hehe.
Just wanted to point out that owning a couple of Harley Bentons myself, and having seen all the focus that both Thomann and customers put on modding the guitars, it would make a lot of sense for Thomann to sell aftermarket parts that fit. On one hand, there are no other manufacturers that make HB-fitting parts, as there are no diagrams available for most parts, and on the other hand there are HB branded aftermarket parts but they often don't fit the HB guitars which is a bit counterintuitive and leads to bad reviews.
For example necks, pickguards, hardware in general, etc.. I know I would for sure buy a few parts, an the HB necks are great. For example would love to get a roasted, SS frets neck for a TE62 even if it was close to the price of the guitar.
While at it, it would also be reaaaaally cool if there were ''premium'' DIY kits for sale too, say fusion line specs.
Cheers!
beautiful intro, guys!
both guitars are great. i love the tele
Yes "Sire"e!!!
I have a Squier Thinline Telecaster Thinline CV that I got from Thomann and it's my n.1 now, great guitar for the vakue
I bought two Jackson last August. A JS32Q DKA HT and a JS32 T Warrior NO AH.
Both just above 300€ and both are superb to play for me as a more or less beginner.
i have a harley benton st-20 hss ca. i love it so much
Just recently bought my second $500 dollar guitar. I've had my Sterling Cutlass CT50 HSS in firemist silver for over 2 years. Now that Yamaha guitars are back in stock, I was able to get the Revstar Element in black I've been wanting since they came out. The Cutlass has been heavily modified, and this weekend the Revstar build will be finished. I'm waiting on the Seymour Duncan SH-16 '59/Custom hybrid for the bridge. Both guitars are absolute monster riff machines of the highest order. They're as good or better than any of my more expensive guitars. When the Revstar is finished, it'll be my main practice guitar because of its unparalleled versatility.
Jem jr. I think they stay under the budget bar.
The color im into changes ery day… currently gassing for a yella one.
🤘🏽REVV Rules 🤘🏽
What's your sub500 crush for Guitar-Amp-maybe-a-Pedal set for new players?
Anything with 1 pu is cool. May hafta buy this, damn you enablers....
actually the guitar I prefer (actually, love) under 500€ is way below 200€ too, it's the Harley Benton TE-52 I bought last december, I'm shocked by the neck quality
Amazing! 💓
Please do the amps next!
Best under 350 euro
But 500 will do
I'm looking at you Guillaume 👀
You know why 😂
Boss Katana probably
Nice that you showed a guitar that is on my wish list in a different form: The Sire Goldtop L7V. Which brings me to the question, is the neck of such an L7 the same or comparable to that of my Sire S7?
One sub 500 euro guitar I am interested in, is the Jackson JS32(?). A super-strat with roasted neck. Or, one of the Schecters in that price bracket. If I got either of them I would modify the electrics though.
So, a "what upgrade to do first on a B-stock" and A-B test the before and after series could be very interesting.
Just grabbed the Harley Benton LP DC Junior, it’s a great guitar for not even $200!
Exactly, putting affordable guitars through expensive pedals and amps shows the true nature and sound of the affordable guitar. Putting any guitar through sub-par pedals and amp will limit what the guitar can do. Should do a comparison by taking both an expensive and an affordable guitar, put each of through an affordable amp and then put the same guitars through the top notch stuff and see the difference. The guitar is only a 1/4 of the tone you hear. The other 3/4 is amp, pedals, and of course the player.
great video! great guitars! how does this squier compare to classic vibe series qualitywise?
Very similar quality, very different feel. :) This neck profile is somehow different and I really like it. //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses BIG thanks for this info. This guitar is almost my next-to if I will go for next
Salut Guillaume et Chris! Serait-il possible, un jour, de nous faire un comparatif de l'ampli Koch jupiter 45 avec d'autres modèles équivalents ? Merci pour vos vidéos !
Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazzmaster for me please - tuned down to C or B with some very heavy string-gauges (mamoth slinky f.e.)
I'm going to visit Thomann around Easter and I'm looking for my new main guitar to accompany my HB TE 62. Budget 800 and I really can't make up my mind between really different guitars.
Larry Carlton S7, PRS SE Standard 24/08, Yamaha Revstar Standard, Gretsch 5230 Electromatic...all in the mix...so hard to decide. All I know is that I didn't like the Epiphone Humbuckers, to woolly.
Preaching to the choir on this channel -- I love my HB-35 plus to bits. And I support rakr9334's vote for a pedalboard, even though mine is somewhat above 500€.
I want to see the best eight - incher (guitar amp).
Die Larry Carlton gitarren klingen wirklich super 👌👍
Yamaha Revstar?
I have the Larry Carlton s7 HSS 3ts, i can vouch for the Sire quality- probably one of the best strats under 800 euros, depending on your taste ofc...
I recently bought a used stock near mint Squier CV 50s Tele MiC 1st gen vintage blonde (2009) from a friend for about 200 euros since he wanted to downsize his collection...
Never been a fan of teles or 2 single coils guitars, more of a strat (HSS) and LP fan...
But when I plugged it in and played it for a bit my jaw dropped, the thing sounded fantastic and it was very versatile... It literally blows every MiM players tele (except the Vinteras) I tried out of the water... Also tried the new Indo Squier CV line and cannot be compared to the MiC tele, the Indos are definitely a downgrade compared to old ones made by Grand Reward
Kris, if you have too many guitars, I could help you out...if you want to get rid of your St John 😂
And I loved G's tone in the Outro 😍
The Larry Carlton is €556.42 at Thomann.
Best signature played by the guitarist under ..
How long has it been guys? It is high TIME to tie the knot! Put a ring on eachother before you miss your window!❤
Guys, what are your thoughts bout the Ibanez AZ essentials series?
It's a glorified GRX40.
Unless you have small hands, just get the Gio and upgrade it. You'll save money.
@@ErebosGR that's a option of upgrading!
Obviously I'm interested in quality guitars. But quality does not always have to equal exorbitant prices. Sometimes I have the feeling that the well-known guitar brands, often from the USA, offer guitars where the price does not always correspond to the quality offered. Example? I have a USA Fender stratocaster but also a Sire S7. The price difference is enormous, but the quality is certainly not. So I hope you show us guitars where the price matches the quality offered.
Just one thing for the sound guy - back off a bit of the reverb. It feels strange with headphones.
Guys,World need you to compare two amps.....................................................Fender Blues Junior to Gibson Falcon 5 & 20.
Both those guitars sound great and make me want to add them to my bloated collection, lol!
the modder version of this: Buy a Squier Sonic Mustang and put 300+ dollars worth of pickups and push pull pots in it.
I dunno, I played a Sire L7 last weekend and couldn’t feel, see or hear the “great” for the money. The nut was high and the sides of it were frayed and looked unfinished. The pickups were bland sounding, the frets were rough to bend on and the fretboard was dry and ugly. Also, it was poorly set up. Action was high and uncomfortable. But that’s a lot of new guitars. Where I live it’s more than in Europe and I don’t think worth it at all. Could just be the one I play but I wonder sometimes at the honesty of the reviews on RUclips where every word is just glowing about a product. I’ve played many guitars in the same price range and for less that I thought were higher quality.
If we talk budget, the amps should be in the same price range then the guitars. That would be more usefull. Just my opinion. 😉
Well the video is about budget guitars not budget rigs, so i think its fine
@@Mehugga good argument 😌👍
This Paula seems to be a great one BUT - as usual - me would just go for this "Tele in black" ... a simple workhorse with an excellent sound
Good choices ... well done
