We lie to each other about how much people actually mature and learn after high school. Young fools become old fools. Most people don't really change from who they were in high school. The people I know who were irresponsible with money in their 20s are still irresponsible in their 30s. They haven't learned from their mistakes. When it comes to "know-it-alls," I would be wary of anybody who was a first-born child or was hand undeserved rewards in life. These types tend to walk around with a false sense of accomplishment due to being told how "great" they were as a child. They routinely talk out of their bass and think they know more than they do. Ironically, it's the know-it-alls that tend to know very little since they don't seek out knowledge, believing they are already knowledgeable.
Mature men, 1) make the world a better place by serving and protecting those in need, 2) keep a middle path by not getting too high or low, and 3) keep self improving whether it be physically, mentally or spiritually.
If men and women would be the same, act the same, think the same, feel the same... there would be no balance in society. Its like there would be only one weather season, the winter the whole year. the nature wouldnt grow. Men would feel like they fall in love with a man, the exact "picture" of himself. Some men musicians havea lso very good relationship with theoir mother.... and with parents. So teh women react to his very natural state of personality and sensitivity. while men who work in other jobs, dont want to be very sensitive,, or they were not growing up to be sensitive
@@alenaadamkova7617 agree with you completely, with maybe a couple of caveots. Testosterone definitely doesn't make you calm. Very much the opposite. It makes you more aggressive. But we learn early on that it has to be controlled and our rage has to be redirected to more positive outlets, like sports or hitting the gym. Women like male musicians because, well, it's manly. It shows that you aren't intimidated by what others think. And if you can charm a crowd with your music, it shows that you're a dominant, competent leader. And if you have even a small level of fame, it's a status symbol for her, and it gives her validation that she's attractive enough to deserve that guy that all the other women are looking at. And finally, we definitely don't feel love in the same way. It's always conditional and transactional when a man receives love.
As soon as you brought up the first point, I took a moment to pause and say to myself that one of the things I admire a lot about your channel is seeing what opportunities are to be learned today!
Yes, a mature individual will not neglect their responsibilities. They might put them off briefly, but they will ultimately prioritize that which is most important.
People need to communicate face to face. Too many hide behind a phone call or screen and that’s why things are misconstrued. Having those unwanted/awkward conversations is how you grow as a human and as a significant other.
The way you present information while also addressing and acknowledging the nuances is so rare and so powerful. Something many others in the influencer space could take a leaf from. Embodying maturity right there. Well done 👌
Thanks, Courtney. Great advice! I tell people 2 main points when searching for Mrs. or Mr. Right: 1) Be yourself - Just be yourself; if it works out, great, and if it doesn't, that's great too. Don't waste your time and other peoples time pretending to be something that you're not. 2) Rejection is good - Rejection is good, it might hurt for a little while, but it frees you up from wasting time with that person and getting on your way to finding your soulmate. Plus, sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder... I would take it a step further especially if the person is a lot younger than myself. I would bruise their ego. A person that is really in love with you will not just walk away from you over a bruised ego.

I’ve been officially single for a week & a half now after a bumpy 2 & a half year relationship. These bullet points have really hit home since I woke up everyday to stand on these points, as my partner lacked in every one. Opposities do NOT attract in certain ways
Courtney you're like the big sister i wish i had. I click to watch your videos as soon as i get the notification. I really enjoy your perspective on everything
I’m about 7 months into a unwanted life change. Found out the hard way that my confidence and masculinity were not where they need to be. Your channel provided me with a lot direction to put myself on the right path. I tried therapy and while it was good. It did not shine a light on all of the facts at play. The insights you’ve share along side other RUclipsrs have brought so much clarity on my situation. Along with some self introspection. Allows me to work hard at being a better mature man. It’s daily process, but one like other things I’m working hard to master. Thank you
For me learning cybersecurity and networking are something that helps with personal growth, find it really exciting as a 52 year old, sharing what I learn with others at work is a real passion
I used Courtney’s code to start better help this past January and it’s been so valuable in not only helping mend past traumas but also continue to improve to being the best version of myself. Highly recommend
@@CourtneyRyan A white Girl got me today. This was around 8:20 pm So, i was walking by in front of Nando’s, a random girl in a car from passenger side loud enough so i could hear her say “excuse me, you dropped your phone.” in the moment i look back in pavement and touch my phone to make certain it was in my pocket. (Only had my phone and house keys) i was dropping some food to a homeless person if you were curious on why i was out this time on a Sunday. i didn’t drop my phone btw. i can see why she found this funny. Definitely made my day. 😂 i was a little mad in the moment too so, i needed this. She was stuck in slow moving traffic too, so i could have went up to her and say such as “fair play, you got me there”. Something that doesn’t happen often. Felt like a scene from a movie lowkey.
The Thing is that al lot of women or maybe society in genreall think o mature men is somebody who is always an adult and that is pretty lame. You can be a absolut mature man who is selfreflected, is intressted to learn new thing and still has a sense of humor of 14 year old boy and laughs about stupid jokes and if you want wear a Band or Anime shirt. Cloth dosent make you more mature. How you act in conflict situation or by trouble shoting or interact with people (family, friends, partner, kids) that shows how mature you are.
It's that polarity. Men need to be solid as concrete. Both in their consistency, trustworthiness, emotional stability, in time the collection of wisdom with appropriate application. The foundational rock to a woman's femininity.
@@TheGluteSpecialist Also a huge investment of time and resources with huge downsides and a majority failure rate. Zero security makes the situation insecure and no smart man will invest anymore.
Thank you Courtney for another insightful video. I think being able to have difficult conversations with your partner is very mature, it prevents things from escalating into a bigger conflict. It signals that you care about the relationship and are trying to be on the same page with the other person.
Hey Courtney happy Sabbath Great topic. A mature men in my opinion always takes responsibility. Setting good examples at work, family, church, and the community is a huge sign of a mature man. Wise Decision making and communication follow up by actions should be the core of a men's heart is another sign of a mature man. Most importantly a men with a humble heart is a very mature person. Happy Sunday 🙏
I can not believe that all this is for free! Useful! I always benefit from your videos! Tell me about delay gratification I struggle with plus emotional regulation!
1. Open To Learning & Growth - I am more than wanting to learn more and grow and better myself. 2. Consistency and consideration - I try to do the best I can for consistency and consideration. Prioritizing relationship with a woman look if some people don’t understand…. If a woman is medical fragile like my girlfriend and has to go in and out of hospital then that’s how it is I have to be mature it I am and but well balanced relationship will never happen especially if someone is in and out of the hospital that’s their life I cannot change something like this and if it turns out to be that way like I said I cannot change that and if normal people don’t understand this then maybe need to re-read this. 3. 3.
Im always here for the growth. I still totally disagree with therapy and I did that for 8 years. After being shuffled around too many times like a deck of cards, I decided to give up and just get the right mentorship and hit the gym.
Ironically, if you embrace and live up to these standards, a sensitivity to a lack of these qualities in your partner can become a long-term deal-breaker. Entitlement? Uncompromising? Unrealistic Expectations? Items that I'm careful do not become #7 on that list. Devoted partner and example are better additions.
Nice video! If these were to be summed up into an overarching theme, they would be stability and dependability. If you're looking to build a partnership, these are the top shelf characteristics that you're seeking. These aren't easily spotted on the first couple dates but rather over a period of time (a trend).
At some point being dependable and stable become boring to most women. They want excitement (drama) despite saying they don't. That's why some bounce between bad relationships, then go for the nice guy, then get bored and jump into a bad relationship, etc and repeat.
I’ve been watching Courtney for ages. I’m only 20 but I’ve started a wood turning business. Tbh I really want to try to remake the vase in the background hahaha. Great videos

Mature woman: - wants kids - has decided what value set she lives by - doesn't live in the moment, thinks about the future - nurturing - dates for marriage - makes choices mostly based on her values, not her feelings - doesn't need attention from others - always works on herself to become better - knows to hold herself accountable for her choices - admits when she is wrong and apologizes
Informative video I agree about a man's circle of people and emotional maturity . All tips are great, I think the regulations of emotions is tricky for me. I'm respectfully blunt at times family, people I know, and future GF if ever. Self learning is big with me
Maturity also includes knowing when the walls in life are far too high to scale, weighing the costs and benefits of any given situation, and walking away when said costs will be far too high in order to achieve the objective. It’s accepting the times when defeat is the path to sanity and safety. That’s not a “poor me” admission to the world…that’s another definition of maturity. Some things in life are simply going to take far, far more than give.

Honestly i can say that I'm fairly good with all of this. Probably helps that I'm a little older. In any case, all things that I never get to display or show off in person.
I tell women I like honesty. If I am with woman and we have sex and is not good. I do not want her to lie about it. I understand she may not want to hurt (some do) my feelings. But if I don’t know how can I improve it for her. It is about the way you say it though some women see that as a weakness and then want to use as a means of control. There should be give and take. Being late is something I hate. Never met a women who could be on time. I dated a woman who was always 2,3 or 4 hours late. To drive home a point I told her to be ready at 8 pm because I wanted to get there by 10 pm. We did not leave until 12 am. That was no respect for me. I am never late because I get an upset stomach if I am late. I hut a deer on the NYS Throughway I called the wife told why I would be late. Her response was you will probably lose your job. When she was in an accident I asked Are you okay? And I got cursed out. Communication is big for me and you are right about it being a bigger problem for women. If I am in a conversation and its not going well I use humor to get out of it. I have been around smokers all my life my wife had heart surgery and continued to smoke I never did. Totally agree peace life it to short. I do not have time for maturity, drama, chaos, and I would add lies.
That video is super good and made me personally realize that I am still immature in many regards. Many people suffer from that and they should definitely watch that video to gain some insight.
Steve Jobs said “Good Peoples want to work with the BEST because working with the BEST makes you Better.” He was talking about computers but this Applies to just about Everything. Work with the Smartest peoples to Make your life Better and share this knowledge with others. This will Help make everyone Better and Live a Better life in Good Quality. This Means MORE Money too because you will NOT waist your time on things that are NOT worthy. People are Worthy of your time and can Help make the World a Better place for Everyone.
Thank you for these videos. I find it quite funny though how you have to from time to time explicitly tell that you would say same thing for woman. It tells me a lot about the general audience of these videos if that kind of obvious thing should be explicitly explained to viewers.
Spot on with all 6, and I have naturally been good at all of them since birth. With all due respect, I would like to add a number 7 to the list. Learning and Growth: Yes, learning and growing are extremely important. I have done everything in life alone simply because when I see a tall mountain, I want to know what's on the other side. I end up climbing that mountain alone simply because everyone else around me is too scared to join me on the journey. The metaphor here is that most people are too scared to learn and grow, so I end up doing it all alone. But it's fine! I’m the one who acquires new knowledge and skills while everyone else is stuck and left behind. Consistency and Consideration: The irony is that learning and growing make you better at having consistency and consideration. Responsibilities: This is really more about not putting yourself in a situation you can’t get out of. For example, criminality and felonies are much more common among men than women. I’m a guy who has NEVER been arrested, apprehended, or convicted of anything simply because I know what not to do to avoid ending up in that type of situation. Simply put, don’t be ignorant. Emotional Regulation: I often get the feeling that people want me to be the solid rock. When a fire alarm goes off, people panic, and I immediately know that EVERYONE will cling to me to be the steady one who guides everyone to safety. Communicate Openly: This one is easy. Just don’t lie and communicate the main objective. Choose Your Circle Wisely: For me, this means avoiding certain types of people and having nothing to do with them. Cartoon characters belong on TV, not in your daily life. Avoid being around people who act like cartoon characters. AND NUMBER SEVEN IS... All these mature qualities are EASY to learn and practice because they come naturally when you cut off and let go of the things in your life that make it hard to live a mature life. It’s not like earning a black belt in karate, where you advance by levels. It’s simply about cleaning up and getting rid of the clutter that obstructs your peace and tranquility.
I doubt most people are going to read this since it's too long. Yeah I'll always be angry and bitter and resentful that I didn't have my first girlfriend until my early 30s, around 32, me and her are not together anymore though. I know I've spoken to another guy like this who has a similar story who says he never had a girlfriend until he was 30, he has the mindset that if he was born a woman he would not have been alone and single that long. I remember one guy said this to me and he really pissed me off when he said to me: "Why would you be bitter once you got what you wanted? Even if it took that long why does it matter? You can still enjoy the fruits of your labor now" Because I didn't get into my first relationship until later than normal that's why I feel angry bitter and resentful. And plus being a guy, how the dating game has always been different for men for women in which I know I'm not the only guy that has this mindset and that is men always have to be the ones to put in all the work and effort in order to land a girlfriend or in order for a heterosexual relationship to happen or start. It's like men are the only ones that have to know or learn so many skills and behaviors on how to attract a mate but not the other way around. I get more mad and angry that people in society say that men are not supposed to view that as work or a burden as in men always having to be the ones to take the lead and Court women and lead the interaction, I will never understand why men are supposed to enjoy and embrace that role. Should be obvious as to what I'm talking about, yeah and I get even more pissed off that people and Society say that women also have to learn dating skills on how to meet men or how to attract men when it never will make sense to me since women don't have to do jackshit to make a relationship happen. Speaking of my lifelong hatred of men always having to make the first move all the time. Didn't happen for me around the time people normally have their first relationship. I get very angry and pissed off whenever people and Society have the mindset that it's better to be a man. I remember another guy said and he only added fuel to fire which made me more angry and pissed off when he said: "Boo fucking hoo. We also don't have to go through child birth and we're strong as fuck. Testosterone gives us ambition + mental and physical strength that MANY (not all) women are lacking. Being a man has many benefits and with great power comes great responsibility. Stop crying about it and get your fucking shit together" Let's just say he pissed me off so much that it's not appropriate for me to say what was on my mind when I read that comment. Yeah I don't understand why a lot of people have the mindset as to why it's better to be a man at the end of the day. Yes it does truly feel unfair being a man at times. It only pisses me off even more when people say "thats the way it is, or so what?". it just fills me with a lot of anger and rage. Yes I already know and I'm completely aware that there's no such thing as fairness never has been never will be but it truly does feel unfair being a guy at times. Whenever people and Society make the arguments as to why we should feel thankful and grateful to be a man it just fills me with a lot of anger and rage. For example comments about what that one guy said above about testosterone. It really pissed me off a lot. When people say to get a sex change that just makes me more angry because a sex change is obviously not normal or natural because people who do get sex changes still retain elements from the gender that they were naturally born. Yes despite how modern medicine and surgery has occurred in today's modern times for modern world even people who do Transition and get a sex change still are not naturally automatically the other gender.
Isn't "emotional regulation" really just a euphemism for stoicism? Women often say they want men to show their emotions by making themselves vulnerable, but once they do, it's almost always a turn-off because it indicates an inability to remain level-headed when encountering adversity. Let's be honest: a man's typical communication pattern looks like a straight line from point A to point B, whereas decoding a woman's speech is like navigating your way out of a maze. Men are much more blunt communicators while women have a greater affinity for obfuscation.
One problem I see with these discussions is that no one can really agree with what the definition of ‘maturity’ is. Just last week I listened to my boss say his granddaughter’s boyfriend is immature because he doesn’t have a couch. I wouldn’t really consider that to be immature, but I also don’t have a definition of mature.
Just because you're an adult, doesn't mean you're a man. A mature man must show up every day and push through life's challenges. Who else, but you, will help change the culture of apathy towards manhood? Thanks for another great video, Courtney.
When watching these list type videos from Courtney, does anybody else find themsevles thinking, "Damn, I guess I'm really knocking it out of the park already. Sweet." lol
Big Fan Courtney! Been following for quite awhile now! Just wanted to say I miss a bit of your content where you speak/interview others. The engagement with other people adds another layer that seems to be missing a lot more these days. I’m sure it’s a lot easier to do reaction videos But I think you’re possibly missing chances to not just interview women but potentially other men about the topics you discuss. Think there is obviously a place for the types of videos you’ve sort of fallen into lately. But it might not hurt to broaden the production horizons a bit. Just my two cents. Keep up the great work!
@ 5:40 you discuss Emotional regulation - For someone who is Neurotypical (ADHD) I suffer from Emotional Disregulation. I don't know how to process certain emotions and what I’m feeling can be inconsistent with my mood and actions. Even though I don't know how to deal with this issue properly, I still talk and engage in conversations to calm myself down and understand myself properly. Despite suffering with this and it's considered mature for a man to self soothe and deal with Emotional regulation; What does that say about my situation?
"Consistency and consideration" It doesn't work with the person who doesn't appreciate your effort. She/he will view you as a nuisance and will do anything to block you off permanently. "A mature man is reliable" -Sometimes, this can be seen as a "yes man", so be careful being reliable.
@CourtneyRyan thank you for helping us level up our lives its always amazing to have your insight. I would love to see a video or hear your thoughts on makeup on men for me its been a huge game changer and I never took it seriously because its stigmatized. Again thank you for helping me personally I've gained so much confidence because of your videos and its even helped me battle my depression.
Emotional instability in men will be his down fall. As a man I’ve realized no one wants to about man’s feelings or emotions. It’s shows a weakness that can be detrimental to your mental state and overall character. Therefore I express my feelings to the Lord and only Him.

Not bad, but this is a horizontal, flattened, one dimensional, non hierarchical understanding of maturity. There is a hierarchical, pyramidal verticality to this (or maybe even a circular hierarchy from the center to the circumference and back). On the top/center there is the full aware taking charge of oneself and one's life, and then that aware willful taking charge descends to all the specific dimensions of life, from the more general to the more specific, including relationship and what needs to be done in all the dimensions of a relationship in order for it to work, like some of the things you mentioned, and also taking charge of the common life in the couple and children, not as a dictator, but as an enlightened leader who always gets constant feedback through communication. Then there is a constant feedback looping between those levels, both vertically and horizontally, but always referring to the top/central one in priority. All this also implies gathering information that can help in all those functions. It's not that women cannot participate in this, but this kind of leadership taking charge is more specifically masculine and is part of the development of full masculinity. Such masculinity should include the right woman into its reality, but there also must be constant growth together through the inputs both give to their life together, and constant communication and feedback. This type of growing together can and should increase the masculinity of the man, and the femininity of the woman. One other feature of maturity, permeating it all, is the ability to chose carefully, based on aware criteria.
Courtney, I am a manager in the marketplace. I try to keep my communication direct, blunt, and friendly. I was trying to hire a young lady to manage a benefit, and she told me she couldn't work for me, because I am not married. I run into the strangest things from young women, that can only be chalked up as immaturity. These women are 40 years younger than me! One of the traits of a good leader is being relatable with everyone, but some women take it too far. I have a major issue with strange women approaching me about a relationship, yet I run into a few that feel sorry for me like I can't find women to date. This woman issue stresses relationships to a degree, it is better to remain single! What are your thoughts?
She likely felt that you might try to hit on her. The mentality of a lot of women these days is to assume the worst from men. How did she know that you weren’t married?

No one is a know-it-all. Learning new things and being open to learn at any age is the hallmark of true character.
No one knows it all but some people are a know-it-all
We lie to each other about how much people actually mature and learn after high school.

And yet, still very much mature.
If men and women would be the same, act the same, think the same, feel the same...

They might put them off briefly, but they will ultimately prioritize that which is most important.
you're confusing maturity with responsibility.. I know many of mature individuals that do everything at the last minute
@@dask1516you mistake Old from mature,

Thanks, Courtney. Great advice! I tell people 2 main points when searching for Mrs. or Mr. Right:
1) Be yourself - Just be yourself; if it works out, great, and if it doesn't, that's great too.

So, i was walking by in front of Nando’s, a random girl in a car from passenger side loud enough so i could hear her say “excuse me, you dropped your phone.”
in the moment i look back in pavement and touch my phone to make certain it was in my pocket. (Only had my phone and house keys) i was dropping some food to a homeless person if you were curious on why i was out this time on a Sunday. i didn’t drop my phone btw.
i can see why she found this funny.

i was a little mad in the moment too so, i needed this.
So if a woman is not acting feminine and submissive to others the foundation sucks? interesting.
As much as I 100% agree with this comment. It’s a lot easier said than done.

2. Consistency and consideration
- I try to do the best I can for consistency and consideration.

Courtney is on point once again; great observations applicable to both men and women.
You are a precious walking library of knowledge thank you God bless
Perfectly said❤from the heart of a true gentleman ❤
I have a "rules" of communication and I always say rule number 1 is "Humans can't read minds." I'm glad you said it too. Saves a lot of headaches.

Let's go Courtney! ❤ Sending you love from Miami, Florida, USA 🇺🇲. I agree with you from 8:04 to 8:10
We know that Florida is in the U.S.
BetterHelp=BetterScam
This actually sounds quite similar to the stoic philosophy
Courtney is pretty advanced for a 28 year old. I am virtuous Virgo ♍ man who is ambitious about self improvement. Even if I have to do it alone.🤷
I agree once again. And again and again.
It’s simply about cleaning up and getting rid of the clutter that obstructs your peace and tranquility.
just great advice, thx.
I remember one guy said this to me and he really pissed me off when he said to me:
"Why would you be bitter once you got what you wanted?
Even if it took that long why does it matter? You can still enjoy the fruits of your labor now"
Because I didn't get into my first relationship until later than normal that's why I feel angry bitter and resentful.
I remember another guy said and he only added fuel to fire which made me more angry and pissed off when he said:
"Boo fucking hoo. We also don't have to go through child birth and we're strong as fuck. Testosterone gives us ambition + mental and physical strength that MANY (not all) women are lacking. Being a man has many benefits and with great power comes great responsibility. Stop crying about it and get your fucking shit together"
Let's just say he pissed me off so much that it's not appropriate for me to say what was on my mind when I read that comment.
Well said.
I think you got it right.

Great content as casual👏🏾. Please, what camera do you use?
