Simply put I love the control you get through the Shadowdust talent. Less CD on Blind etc is huge. Honestly it's probably not the optimal build anymore, but it's what I'm accustomed to and it really fits my playstyle. I've been toying with other builds lately and might give up on The Rotten build soon; but it's deffo a fun and effective build to play
It takes time! I've been playing this class for over a decade. Take it slow, learn things step by step. Get used to your damage/burst rotation, accustom yourself to the many CC abilities (+ DRs), get used to your defensive abilities. Once you got a feel for your entire toolkit, try out multiple playstyles. Some rogues prefer to play aggressive/like a warrior and pump damage. Other rogues prefer the 'hit and run' playstyle with short burst windows and CC. But most importantly: play a ton. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask.

Rogue was good early season 1 good cc. Hope they don’t destroy arena too bad in season 2
So the only reason why i wasn't winning my shuffle was only me being... bad. It's hard to admit it but damn gear isn't that important as i thought.
