As David says his Grandfathers were Tennant Farmers . Lots of today's Family farms started as Tennants who bought their farms from Estates that had to sell farms to pay their Inheritance taxes before the Agricultural relief was brought in in 1984 by Maggie Thatcher.
Brilliant video Jo, thank you. Everything you and David said makes sense. I just can't understand why the powers that be just can not see how easily it can be fixed. What an interesting man David is. Hope all is going well in Oxford. Take care 💜
That was a brilliant and interesting video Joe, very apt given the weather conditions at the moment. It highlighted the importance of proper land management and drainage. Pity that all the hard work farmers do goes to nothing when the EA fail to do their job keeping the streams dykes and river clear! E.g. That sewer you showed overflowing in a previous video! I rest my case. Caterpillar machines are almost indestructible and for a 35 year old machine it was almost mint and wears it's battle scars with pride. 😉 👍.
Anyone doing the farmers guide magazine Christmas quiz competition struggling with question 1 and 5 needs to be in by friday and magazine only came yesterday due to post late thanks Great digger that 👍
great vid,get rid of defra and the ea and bring back the river authorities who actually did dredging and kept the streams and rivers flowing, don't remeber floods when i was growing up in the early sixties and seventees
Brilliant video David’s calm but very knowledgeable approach is a really good informative listen
