If anything with accuracy and without bias, it proved that anyone can be defeated by the right opponent. Werdum defeated Fedor from his back when Nogueira wasn't able to, and Werdum & Nogueira's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu aren't much different from each other.
@@lucax2300 Werdum had enough footage of Fedor's past fights to figure him. Fedor did one of those diving punches right into a triangle choke. Werdum was waiting for him to do it.
Как хорошо, что в то время именно Фëдор представлял страну, сильный, спокойный, достойное поведение, не то, что кривляки юфсишные. И так много сделал для продвижения этого спорта у нас. Человечище❤
@@loicalex Fedor Emelianenko practices both Sambo and Judo at expert levels, respectively. One of the best sport ground-battle matches ever! Fedor, while being cursed out and yelled at by the Brazilian opposition's team, still executed beatings from the top position, reversal to change his body position from bottom position to top position on the opponent, performed many joint-lock and choke-hold escapes, and used the tactical set-ups of Judo and Sambo to deliver his offensive strikes! EXCELLENT, Fedor Emelianenko, *EX-CELLENT!!!* You did great!
I came to watching MMA again recently, and since Pride was over, I'm watching UFC. I thought maybe I was not as interested as before because it felt more entertaining a decade ago but actually many things were better in Pride than in UFC. First, the entrance of the fighters is fantastic. The Japanese touch added definitely some charm. The fights were more entertaining because of the yellow card system ("action !"). The Japanese audience is so much better than the UFC/American one: even when someone fights against a Japanese, they respect the foreigner, they don't boo him because he's fighting against their favourite. And look how all Japanese applauded both fighters BEFORE the verdict fell? So classy. I miss this time, it was a great show. The only 2 things I can criticise was the incitement to doping and the commentator who talked with Bas Rutten, that guy is really terrible making clumsy or gross comments to highlight the show and just being an embarrassment for himself and Bas Rutten.
У Феди чутьё как у зверя в этом бою. Руку из попытки болевого вытаскивал, как только он намечался. Бразилец, конечно, железный. Тыкву, наверно, долго потом в порядок приводил.
Dana said that because he was unable to sign him. I respect Dana and he threw a ton of money Fedor’s way. Fedor was not a fan of how the UFC fights were promoted. Add that and his management’s insistence on Co-promotion were what killed the deal from ever happening.

Two legends put on one hell of a fight
The ufc cannot discredit what Fedor had done he truly is the greatest heavyweight in mma history
Eles são duas Lendas Viva do Mma, Eles viverão pra sempre em Nossos Corações
Thx 4 uploading! U da real MVP! Long live the Last Emperor & Big Nog. True MMA OG’s & Legends ❤ ✊🏽

I would put this Fedor up against anyone in world now or then. Absolute Juggernaut!
These guys were a different level of fighters than what we have today. You can clearly see that from before, during and after the fight.
Too few standout characters around today.
It all seems like a giant soup of fighters too similar to each other.

This is what it’s all about ladies & gentleman. MMA in it’s purest form.
Aqueles atletas que seguiram o estilo de luta do Mestre Gracie, sempre se sobpujaram os potentes golpes dos adversários , na trocação.
