    Your video helped a lot. I just installed my WaterDrop with the added faucet. 16,000 gal. filter. Installation took about one hour. Not bad for a 72yo. Thanks Again

    I used the Woder brand in-line filter for around 4-5 years. The one you have now will do the same thing the Woder did. After a month or so your pressure will gradually get worse and worse. About 2 weeks ago I decided I'm tired of not having full pressure on my cold water and installed a dedicated faucet. Luckily I have a stainless sink and just used a step-bit to drill the 1 3/8inch hole for the faucet. It's the exact same brand as the one you're installing (WaterDrop). Super easy setup like yours but with the dedicated faucet. It has excellent pressure and now I have full pressure on my hot/cold.
    After a couple months you may have to re-evaluate and upgrade ;). Alsooooo This is HANDYDAD TV BY GOD....I think you can drill that hole in your countertop if its overly expensive to get a tradesman to do it. Keep up the great videos!

    Easy install. Had to move the ice maker water line to the opposite side to the output of the filter. County water now tests at 200ppm. I thought it would test better but it has a good clean test & definitely acceptable.

    Very nice video. My 10u was not dedicated and I live alone and have low water usage. The unit was nearly excellent for 9 months (just outside of service policy). One morning the cold water did not even flow and there were low pressure noises in the line. I removed the filter and put it back in, only to get a few minutes of water flow. Ordered a new filter, which worked only through the carbon rinse. I think the head unit is malfunctioning. Going to try a different make. There's nothing like good clean water.

    • @handydadtv
      @handydadtv  3 года назад +1

      If you replaced the filter cartridge, the the issue is your faucet, not the filter. Remove and clean the aerator. Test the flow without it. Replace it if necessary.

    • @alfredgbada748
      @alfredgbada748 3 года назад

      @@handydadtv I removed the filter completely and water flow has been excellent. Problem only occurs with filter in the line. I may try another new filter before giving up on it. I still think it's the device the filter locks to. Thanks for the reply

    This like most filters, uses activated carbon. After only a few months tests have proven that there is a higher bacteria count in the filtered water than tap water because organic material starts growing in the carbon. I cant imagine what it would be like after a year.

    Any ideas on my problem here? I installed one of these and it worked great for a few months but then all of a sudden when I turn it on it makes a loud "duh duh duh" noise and the water shuts off. I have to use the regular faucet (i have a kitchen faucet that has a drinking water tap together, only the drinking water one is filtered) and jerk the water handle off to full flow real fast to get the water filter tap to flow again. How do I fix this?

    • @handydadtv
      @handydadtv  Год назад +1

      I’d remove the filter and put the lines back to just the faucet connections to test the faucet. If it’s not the faucet, I’d contact the filter company to get a replacement.

      @@handydadtv Nicely done video presentation here. However, with all due respect, the old adage "you get what you pay for" is an apt response here with regard to price.
      While for many folks, taste and clarity are primary considerations and in that regard, a cheap filter like this one may meet their needs. On the other hand, an increasingly perhaps overwhelming majority of people looking to purchase/install a water filtration system be it under sink or whole house are primarily concerned about their health and what's in their water. For that segment of water filter shoppers, this filter and by the company's own admission is not going to cut it. For them, this is hardly "the best under sink filter", (maybe not the worst cheap water filter system either) it is worthless and would be a total waste of money. Even their UF version won't measure up when it comes to filtering arsenic, PFAS, PFOA/GenX and chromium 6 to name just a few that are present in many community water supplies and wells across the country.
      For that filtration- I'll gladly pay more, even considerably more for that level of filtration and protection.
