I overcame lust by letting it in God's Hands.
I tried for 5 years to fight it by myself, but everytime i fell. I would do a 3 months break without it, but then fell back. I tried so hard that i started to loose myself, not wanting to be in social environnements anymore, because of the guilt.
I was miserable.
Another thing, i tought that God would love me more if i stopped doing it. I measured God's grace and love by how MY strengths would get me to stop. That's why i would hate myself, because i was weak, and i didn't like that about myself.
That's why it makes me laugh when the world says that it is liberating to explore their sexuality, when in reality, it is being in bondage and a slave to it, without knowing it. If you ask them to stop, it would be a whole different conversation.
When I
1. started to ask God for his strenghts
2. stopped condemning myself from felling back to it
3.started giving myself grace
4. started coming back to God instead of going away from him because of guilt
5. started getting away from social media
6. stopped listening to worldy music that would put me in a lustful mood
7. Stopped watching certain movies
8. honnestly started crying out to God for help, telling him that i couldn't by myself, feeding myself with his world,...
I started to see changes. It's been 1 year that i stopped masturbating. It breaks my heart even thiking that Satan had that much power over me. I am not sensitive to the factors that were influencing me to masturbate because I limit my thoughts to certain things, i talk to God about my weaknesses, i dont lean on my own understanding and i trust his judgement.
It is so liberating, now i'm fighting other things, i know Jesus is working in me and i trust him.

19:28 - “lust ain’t nothing to play with y’all it’s real deal A SPIRITUAL BATTLE” ..that said please take what it is I’m saying seriously, bc it’s essential in understanding the larger lens: Lust is a demon, the feeling / action of lust is a byproduct of how a demon is operating in the soul of a person. It needs to be cast out. People have to ask the Lord to deliver them from every unclean spirit in a posture of desperation to be set free and set on fire for Jesus - filled with the Holy Spirit afresh asking Jesus to renew our mind and truly being hungry for the word etc to seek his face and presence. WORSHIP / PRAISE is truly a way to be delivered all while building your bond with the Lord. Reverence in his presence, crying out to be set free from DEMONIC OPPRESSION.. truly repenting and making sure there’s no unforgiveness in your heart. Coming humble in every way! You’re right with the fasting for sure it does help especially if you’re intentional about wanting to be set free and you have a literal revelation about what it is that’s keeping you bound. Christians can have demons. We shouldn’t, but unfortunately it’s a literal fact that we can. Demons are absolutely able to dwell in our souls due to legal right through willful/continual sin and sometimes generational where we have things that came in through the bloodline that has to be renounced (break generational curses) - We gotta be real with ourselves in knowing that we’re not called to cope with demons.. we’re called to have authority through the blood of Jesus. Demons keep us in patterns and cycles, that’s how the enemy works. Satan wants people to remain ignorant of his devices and hates when people find out how to BIND THE STRONG MAN over their lives and get the whole demonic operation out. Men and women can carry the jezebel spirit and a lot of the times people are dealing with an unclean spirit that refuses people to believe they might potentially have a demon in the first place, which is that wicked religious spirit - no lie this is a legit demon that constantly keeps people in bondage to being free for real. People are dealing with pride - leviathan.. smh it’s heavy on the “do as thou wilt” (anti Christ principle) through one’s actions which is a deeper root to rebellion. Also there’s a literal python spirit that keeps people bound to making progress in Christ. It squeezes the life out of a person’s energy, keeping them stagnant in a lot of ways. I could go on and on tbh it’s really wild and often a deeper rooted issue. Just wanted to be of help on this bc it’s truly a part of what the Lord is using me to do.. I wanna see people be SET FREE FOR REAL !!! AND ON FIRE FOR JESUS WITH FULL AUTHORITY 🔥 ..if you ever need more insight into anything I briefly spoke about etc just hit me bro - there’re some real soldiers out here who got they foot on the devils neck who can impart TRUTH (JESUS, THE WORD) into anyone who is willing to go higher. The true remnant is rising up to igniting Holy Spirit FIRE in the body of Christ and be a true mouthpiece to those willing to listen.

I’m about to be 23yo and waiting for marriage. I can confirm lust is one of the biggest battles in singleness; especially once you’ve explicitly stated that you are committed to waiting for marriage. It’s like temptation comes at you full force. And unless you live a fasted lifestyle you will not win in your own strength. And don’t date anyone who isn’t willing and able to abstain or be celibate for themselves too because they will be your greatest temptation on two legs 🚩😭😂 it’s the most foolish thing to wish they’ll tame their flesh for you. I wish more men and women of God weren’t ashamed to have this conversation.

I’ve been battling lust since I was 13 I’m 22 now. I knew I was struggling when I made provision to do it and even lied to protect it and it felt like I had more loyalty for my porn addiction than God. I’m having trouble in my pursuit of God right now because I grew comfortable with my “worldly” life and it’s difficult breaking the bond but I want to. Hope all that reads this know that God loves you and the guilt that you feel when doing wrong is just a sign that you want to do right, talk it out with God. I hope you stay strong the journey isn’t for the weak❤️

Man... this is going to change generations. You being open and honest about what you have struggled with sets you free, but it also shows people from all walks of life that they are not the only one, and that hope is alive to move past this stronghold. I have definitely dealt with lust. From a child I was violated by a family member, and the same one introduced me to that demonic world.. and for years, I was lost, until God found me, humbled me, and rescued me. I feel that the best thing a person can do who is struggling with lust is pray and ask God to cause you to be sickened when you have thoughts of lust. I experienced the consequences of lust, but so many people don't feel the consequences until it's too late. Don't wait until it's too late, cry out to God now. He will free you and deliver you. Lust is the most significant strong hold on individuals, whether it be physical or mental. Lust is feeding our flesh our desire brought on by society. We have to consecrate our body. Thank you for bringing up this topic and being transparent Phil ❤
Letting go of lust is extremely difficult in this age, where it’s so prevalent in media and genuine relationships are scarce. The past month, I think I’ve finally been able to free myself. Every day is still a challenge because of how used to my brain got to the free release of endorphins. But I think I can say with confidence that I’m moving forward and leaving it in the past. Even if God doesn’t present my future wife to me in the next 20 years. Depression/sloth is probably the next big demon in my life left for me to conquer.
There’s so much to unpack here… first of all I’m ecstatic that men are bringing this type of content to RUclips and having these conversations which are seen as a taboo and/or vulnerable, its so important as it breaks down so many built up walls and provides a new hope for those whom are struggling and/or have younger cousins/ siblings and etc who are struggling with lust. Because the reality of it is, to every fruit of lust there is a root related to a lack of belief in something concerning God.
Setting boundaries for ourselves is so important, I feel like we put so much confidence in our flesh that by the time we notice that something isn’t right we are already in the thick of it, hence why I loved that you touched on community. If there is something I’ve learnt is that it truly is not good for man to be alone, and thinking otherwise is a result of pride, having that community helps you to overcome your struggles. It is so important because the right and healthy community will offer a safe environment for you to be transparent, correction with love, truth and grace and will help identify blindspots whilst interceding for you.
Genuinely can’t wait for part 2, it is nice to finally hear a man be vulnerable on what struggling with lust truly looks like because no one is above stumbling. I pray a covering over your mind and heart and the strength and power to flee temptation. In Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen😊

Due to wanting to be accepted, socially, I disregarded my Christian beliefs/standards and succumbed to lust! Wow I went through the same thing during the Covid-19 pandemic when everyone had a little too much free time (including me). I had a long battle to fight but I kept reading scripture and I officially became born again around 2021. Love to see a man of God speaking on dream interpretations (those dreams were VERY spiritual coded, you’re a warrior!) & genuinely addressing the propensity for lust in today’s men. Yes, it was thrusted upon us but as adults, we have to take responsibility for caving to the temptation! It’s not to demonize sex; but lust takes away from, causes addiction, spiritually depletes. Love (real sex) adds onto, blossoms, feeds, nourishes, replenishes the soul. We have to rebuke obsession with the flesh & utilize that energy on our remembrance/embrace of God (+ our true Self).

Lust is very real. Not just for men but for women too. God has a funny sense of humor, this video popped up on my feed after falling into sin earlier today. I’ve battled lust for over 16 years since I was a teenager. I was not only exposed to sex early with pornography, I was also molested. To make it worst, I have a really high drive. Mentally, I grew up being told how beautiful and sexy I looked and being taught about my body and sex. I’ve had some good moments where I go months and then I fall and it takes a while to get back. I’ve eliminated most things out of my life, I don’t drink, club, I’m single, but that still has not stopped the urge.
In fact, I’m more aware of it now than before. I think sexual sin and lust is one of the most damaging issues you can have, second only to drug addiction.
I often tell God, I wish He had given me a different struggle. It’s really hard dealing with something in your own body. I know one day God will have the last say, until then I pray for strength and everyone dealing with lust.

You better preach!! One thing I have to keep reminding myself is that lust is a sin against myself. Nothing feels worse than following lust and feeling that distance between myself and God. Love this❤and yes Semen retention is real, 8 years ago is when I 1st tried SR out. The benefits especially after my 90 day reset is life changing for sure. Lust definitely creeps up once in a while and the longer the streak gets in the beginning it gets intense. The longer your on SR the easier it gets it is just a lifestyle after going so long without releasing that sexual energy. Also had to learn how to transmute that sexual energy into your goals and to eat cleaner. If you stay stagnant you become irritable and angry at some points. This video helped me so much even as a woman. You are very anointed and I’m very proud of you! im currently preparing myself and my life for my future and my future husband and working on getting even closer to God than I’ve ever been, and lust has been a struggle, I too have went long streaks then suddenly succumbed to lustful thoughts. another practical tip that worked for me is going to sleep, lol there’s times I had to just take a nap because But most important the word, calling on God and reciting his word and remembering his precepts, thinking of how terrible ur gonna feel after, Also I noticed that after having s*x with certain men outside of marriage I noticed the spirits that was oppressing them, I noticed started to try to cling to me, and was affecting me spiritually.(we thank God for deliverance though) S*x is so sacred and God said for very good & factual reasons that it should only be between husband and wife. He isn’t tryna stop our fun or be overbearing, it’s just s*x is not a casual a activity, would you trust and allow just anyone to do a surgery on you? no so why would you trust and allow anyone to have access to your naked and vulnerable body. Thank you again 🙏🏾

wow. thank you so much for this video. I took a personal vow of celibacy 3 years ago with such conviction and I was on this journey that left me feeling so spiritually fufilled and connected. Two months ago I moved to another state to pursue higher education and to start building a career and suddenly have had a major hit of lonliness. The more people I'd interact with, the more lonely I'd feel. I crave a deeper connection. I've been battling intrusive thoughts because the last time I've felt any connection to other humans that goes beyond surface level has been lustfully.

I love that you’re talking on this because whewww! Lust is one of the most challenging spirits to be delivered from. But anytime you’re having dreams about having s3x with a demon, immediately get up and rebuke the dream and fast. The dreams tell us the covenant demons have made or is making with us to keep us bound. We have to wake up and challenge it by prayer and fasting
Much respect for this video. I'm 17 and I gave my life to God when I just turned 16. For a WHILE I struggled with lust and tbh I still am. But one verse that the holy spirit showed me and helps me is Romans 13:14
" But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires"
